Well... "Spot the camera" is part of idol training. Their eyes need to follow cameras to create feeling of contact. Usually there is place in the studio which shows what camera is shooting right now or there are control lights on cameras.

 

During live streaming the backstage team also tells artists/journalists, whatever what camera is turned on at that time via their in-ears (but not sure how if it also works in music industry same way).
