We have to do an oral presentation- IOP- of a text we've read, and the topic is up to us. That's so broad We have to make it interesting, and the time limit is 20 minutes bc I have a partner. Neither of us have any idea what to do. It has to be analytic and original (the hard part) Looking for inspiration. O wise ones, what have you done for this project? I've graduated though. I can send you a link of my presentation as a pm if you want. Edit: here is some of the advise I can give you. The IOP is probably one of the easiest assignments you have to do for English IB so prepare for it really well so that you'll be able to use it to boost your overall IB English grade. Practice a lot and try to memorize most of your lines. Make sure during your practice that you do not go over your allotted time. Always refer back to the text. For the presentation, eye contact is really important and make sure you speak loud and clear. Your thesis should be easy to understand. Tbh, I'm not a very creative person so I just browsed online until I found an idea that could work for my IOP. My presentation was in the formal style but I tried to sneak in a few jokes relating to the topic. I made a presentation but I made sure all I put into it were pictures and one or two words to keep it simple. If you do try and make you IOP more creative make sure that you are still able to get all your information across. My own presentation focused on pologamy in the novel So Long A Letter. YNRA 1,082 Posted January 7, 2014 Share Posted January 7, 2014 Im in english IB and shit man sounds familiar but i dont even remember loool i think i did it last year... i think i did mine on the great gatsby with a partner? .__. unless that as a different thing...i think it was because it was 20 minutes. oh yeah my topic was money/wealth in the great gatsby. it was pretty easy for me.
