Why aren't Big 3 Rookies hitting it as big as They Should?

The company you are from seems to be fading lighter and lighter as time goes by to a very small extent as there are only a few groups from small companies that have done well compared to the trenches of failed small company groups,  it's still important to be from a big company.  The only two groups that can compete face to face with big 3 right now are Gfriend and BTS and both companies have been run almost  perfectly to put their groups in a solid place to have  the most success they can have.

People just don't know rookies as soon as they debut anymore.

It's not like everyone in Korea gets a phone call alerting them when a big 3 group debuts.

It's just more even now. If you promote well your group gets noticed

When big 3 rookies rise quickly, everyone bashes them for having 'everything handled to

them', when they don't rise quickly, they are bashed for being 'flops'. They can't catch a

break.

Also op, big 3 rookies are doing well? Especially twice, blackpink, ikon.

You sum up everything :dave:

People are trying to look more at groups outside of big 3 (Bts,seventeen,Mamamoo,Gfriend impact) because sometimes stanning big 3 groups is really boring since your favs only gives you 2 weeks of promo if not 1.5week at max anyway that is what i think for now!

because it's big hit and source music to produce the next successful acts so big 3 is going down i guess

They're all doing well it's just that the only one out of the Big 3 with boy band fandoms that emphasize on digitals is YG. other than that the digital standard is lower among boy bands compared to girl groups so dont expect much in digitals, but overall they're all doing well

BIG3 rookies are doing fine. BP, Twice, RV, even NCT in physicals, they're still better than most groups from small companies. And then of course some groups from small companies are doing well too (BTS, Gfriend, Seventeen, edit: Mamamoo), but that's not new in kpop. T-Ara, Infinite, Kara, Beast, they all came from relatively small companies as well.

I'd like to think companies' influence is dying little by little, so more idols can have opportunities to succeed, but I honestly don't see it happening. Maybe internationally, where kpop fans stan multiple groups and are always looking for underrated bops, but not in SK.
