real question: how did they become so fast popular in Japan? thanks

They were pretty popular even during Mix&Match in 2014. They had some fanmeetings then and got a really big response. They also opened for BB's Dome Tour in the beginning of 2015. And this year, more than half of the year they have spent it in Japan. They did some radio shows, a TV appearance here and there, magazine shoots, some festivals but mostly concerts. Concerts and concerts and some more concerts.

There are a lot of YG fans in Japan that are open to support more than one group from the company. So they won some of them.

Just a correction: it's the singles chart, not the albums chart. I know that in Korea they like to call a CD with 3 songs a "single album" (which is just beyond weird), but in Japan an album is only a full-length or an EP. This is a single : )

Great achievement!
