I don't know who to do this problem. Please help. And include the work too because my teachers really anal about including work and cancellation. Thank you~

A student wants to make a 1.5M solution of ammonium chloride. If he has 50g, what volume of a solution can he make?

I think it's this:

Find out what the formula for ammonium chloride is.

Look up what their moleculair weights are. We'll call that X. If you have one mole of that, you have X g

You actually have 50g. 50 / X is the amount of mole you have

50 / X

------- = 1.5M

?L

50 / X

------- = answer

1.5

I don't know if it's right but I did:

M(NH4Cl)= 53.5 g/mol

n=m/M

n=50/53.5 = 0.93 mol

1L------ 1.5mol

x--------0.93 mol

x= 0.93/1.5= 0.62

We did the same thing basically so I'm sure it's this ^^
