Is there something wrong with me?

ok so I've been doing dance covers for like 4 years own

and my channel is not really attracting that much viewer

a nice to say that I'm a flop

But I kept doing it for all this time because I love it

I love the whole process of learning a new choreography and filming

and putting in wigs and lenses and all that

I also love editing videos

then what's the problem you'd ask?

well even if I do it mainly because it's fun, it's kinda vexing

that despite all the effort I put into it my videos don't get that much views

I wonder if I shouldn't just stop because even if I like

it demands a lot of energy and time, that I could spend doing other things

this thread was actually inspired by a friend of mine calling me

to basically tell me  that she thinks the reason why it's not working

is because the songs I choose are too childish, that my video are too "kawaii"

she can't stand the songs that I pick and that I should try other things

I understand what she means and I thought about it before

I'm starting to think that maybe I'm to old for this and that I'm wasting my time

I don't know I'm a mess rn I'm starting to question everything

I feel like I'm a failure

you're not a failure, you deserve praise for keeping up for so long

do you promote your videos? maybe you should post your vids in kpop groups on Facebook and maybe even fandom groups of the artist's song you're dancing to

keep going!! as a dancer i know the best results come with time

TBH, I think the problem isn't with you, it's the fact that there are SO MANY people on YouTube that it's a lot of oversaturation, and it sucks cos sometimes really great work gets covered up since there's so much content out there. If you enjoy doing dance covers then it's not a waste of time and you're not a failure! :)

You're not failure, the rest of the world has yet to see shine yet!!! No one really gets popular extremely easily-you have to work through the dark before people finally see you shine! Keep making more covers, cherish the amount of views you get now and work with that. One day the world will notice you!! I did the same with my art blog ^^

If you enjoy it then keep doing it. The biggest difficulty when starting outbox YouTube is standing out amongst all the other Youtubers it takes time but keep at it. Even the most popular channels today were at the same place you are now. Keep at it.

It doesn't matter what the others would say or think...you should keep doing what you like and what makes you happy  :)

Maybe you should promote your videos/channel on pages like this...the quantity of videos published daily in youtube is huge, so I suggest you to start promoting your channel  :)

Cheer up!

more people to watch me but I don't reach that much people

keep doing what you love, baby girl

thank you much haha

I saved it and I'll look at it whenever I feel down

:chu:

I saw your channel. You are doing good. You just have to keep going :)

I think you have to keep uploading videos frequently cause that's what keeps your subscribers entertained and maybe they'll  share it to someone they know.

thank you, I'll take your advice and keep on working

Just because you're not getting lots of views doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you. Just keep doing you and keep dancing. If you're already loving what you do, then you're not wasting your time at all.   :)

I know that views shouldn't be important

but it's kinda depressing when you've worked a lot on something

and only a few people look at it

:._.:

but thank you, I'll keep on going

Ahh, I started my art blog in August 2015. For a while I only had about 15 followers, but i'm still trucking and the number has grown to 63! I'm content with this amount of people who enjoy my artwork, even its small! The thing is to do it because you enjoy it, and because you know it makes a small amount of people happy :)
