In my class, boys are the extremes. There are boys that are on top of the class and boys that are at the bottom. There aren't many in between. Females are usually more focused on studying, I think they have a better overall average. Boys tend to be lazier, but not necessary less intelligent.

You basically just explained entire IQ studies with one anecdote. Males tend to be the extremes in IQ, the low number and the geniuses, while females are more on the middle of the graph. Males produce more geniuses than females, but also more dumb ones, so when you compare the averages of the two genders, females and males are pretty much the same, though females have slightly higher IQ by 1 point.

Id say girls from my experience. In AP classes, honors classes, and standard classes girls usually care more than the boys imo and don't fool around/distract the teacher as much. I can think of a lot of explanations for this tho, cuz it's definitely not inherent. It's much more of how society raised us in our gender roles tbh
