Does Brave Bros have a partner or anything in the company? Because it seems like the dude has no talent for managing. He's not as bad as Pledis, but in a way it is as bad because he is one of the biggest producers in the industry with a name everyone knows (and he even names his GG after his "sound") and gives them nothing to do.

Let's be honest - he said during the time of "The Unit" that they pushed back their comeback and that was over a year ago. By the time The Unit ended, he should at least have had ONE song (even if it was a digital only) ready to go - with an MV, choreo and maybe a month of promotions. I've always though Brave Girls was just one Yujeong fancam away from gaining fans and any song could do it.

Yeah I remember that too, and I was expecting that once their stint on The Unit was done, they would at least release something, but all we got was an overly-produced remix of Rollin' which given how he said he wanted to give that song another chance, he did absolutely NOTHING but send the girls to perform for the army rather than performing at music shows, so what TF was all that for then? I know BG has their own managers (they appeared in a variety stint the girls did, and awkwardly enough, Minyoung even shares a dorm with their female manager) but it seems that nothing can get the go ahead without Brave's permission. He makes all this money off of all these other idols that he's producing for and for what? He sure as hell ain't doing shit for anyone anymore. I wish BG would pull a Highlight and GTF outta there. The last time I was this angry at a company was for Pledis with After School, then again for Fantagio with Hello Venus, and now this. UGGH!

I agree but it seems the sad fact that for almost all idols the group they debuted with is the beginning and the end of the road for their idol career. Partly is is the contract the sign (which if they leave the still have to pay back trainee debut and/or sit out the career opportunities till it runs out - on her YouTube channel, Tina of Blady actually said the latter is what happened to her and her former members, they only formally disbanded last year after suing their company even though they hadn't done anything in years), and partly it is just hard to move companies and THEN hit it big.

The Hyuna's and Highlights of the world are the rarity. At this point the girls can't just pick up and start again with a new company (or even form their own ala Shinhwa). Companies do make a difference and a lot of talented idols fall through the cracks if they don't even up in the right one. But would it hurt Brave Brothers just to give them new ONE song to promote a year?

Wow I never knew that, all these stories about what contracts entail are starting to come out and honestly I am glad that people are starting to realize how serious this needs to be taken. Apparently, it's much too hard for Brave (or even his production company) to put out at LEAST one song a year to keep them relevant. He doesn't care, and I should have known better cause he did this with the original lineup too.

That was unexpected, whatever I'm glad to see her

And just like that, the following day for Bom's solo comeback stage, she's behind a screen lol (at least, I think it's her unless it's someone else)

Its not even that Brave Bros have to create a new song. They have tons of unused songs/demos and whatnot. Im pretty sure Brave Girls already recorded a bunch on unreleased songs. Whats stopping Brave Bros to give them a comeback. Even if they have to keep it cheap and only let them perform on the smaller music shows, its still better than nothing.

Seriously, it's getting ridiculous now

It's disappointing of how Brave Brothers treat all of their artists. He is not treating CHERSEE any better in Japan. as well.  No one has an idea of what happened to Electroboyz.

I don't understand his need to keep his artists locked under a contract if he won't ever do anything with them. Both generations of Brave Girls had a lot of potential to become bigger yet Brave Brothers was the one who ended up hindering everything for them. I wonder of what is in this man's head, if he can't just figure out of what to do with his groups... or he cares about making money producing songs for the other artists... or producing his own songs is just a hobby to him and that's what he does in his own free time only. I also don't think that he doesn't have any financial backing considering that he makes money from the songs he produces.

Not sure if it was talked about, but former member Yejin is a YouTuber now! Please support this visual queen.

This so much!

In a perfect world, ElectroBoyz would have gone a more hip-hop route like AOMG; BIGSTAR would have remained at least relevant enough (while not being too popular but being popular enough that they are known for being BEASTS on stage), Brave Girls would have remained a pretty steady popularity with the original five (and have a career somewhat similar to EXID and SISTAR) and the new Brave Girls (the current members including Hayoon) would have been in a new girl group and would have a similar success to that of AOA (with more of a girl crush vibe). Sigh, if only this were the case. And poor CHERSEE, they are actually pretty good but he hasn't done shit for them. I can't believe I almost joined an audition for this company.

They could use Eunji for Bom's entire promo period followed by a Brave Girls comeback

I'm glad that at least one of the members is doing something. Can't say the song is all that impressive to me though, I appreciate the throwback vibe of it (sounds very much like a 2NE1 song) but I just can't get into it. :(

I wish Brave Bros would have saved BG's track ''Help Me'' for another time.

But honestly imo they could still promote this song, its not like many people have heard it. It has hit potential.

I actually made my own choreo for this song! I love it! High Heels was a solid mini album!

In an interview Brave Brothers mentioned Brave Girls:

–For Brave Brothers, 2019 will be a busy year.

"As I have mentioned earlier, I am going to focus on producing, such as with Park Bom and I am working on songs for Brave Girls, a girl group from Brave. In the case of Brave Girls, the members of the first lineup are now gone and as it would be the first comeback after re-organizing as a four member team, I am working on the song with all my heart and soul." According to the article, he is going to debut his new boy group in 2020.

No news whatsoever on ElectroBoyz or Bigstar (as expected). And he's also working on another comeback for Samuel (if anyone even cares about that)

So he confirmed many things:

-Hyeran isn't on an "indefinite hiatus"

-Hayoon isn't on a "medical hiatus"

-The group is officially four members

Honestly, this is a real stretch for me to accept Brave Girls being four members now but I love these girls so much that I'm willing to bite my tongue and just accept it. He says he's putting his "heart and soul" into their comeback, oh really? Are you now? Cause the way you've kept them hidden is more like keeping a fart in when you're alone with one other person in an elevator, stop acting like you actually give a shit about them cause you don't, you don't even care about fans. It angers me so much how he just slid that into the interview so nonchalantly. The people interviewing him really need to do their homework and call him out on things.

If they leave or disband, maybe some members will open a YT channel ? Or begin to stream on afreeca/Twitch ? I'll follow laugh.png

Hayoon's sister has a Youtube channel, she's just as cute as she is. Honestly, I'm just so angry and sad that my favorite member isn't in BG anymore so I really just don't know who to stan. Yujeong is cute and all but with one less member, it's gonna be really obvious how many times she flubs on choreography. Hopefully she's improved. But I hope to GOD that their choreography as four members isn't as bad as that trainwreck of the Rollin' Remix was because, yikes that was messy and all over the place.

Instead of keeping them as 4, this is the perfect chance to add a strong vocalist to the group.

The gap between Minyoung and the others is too big vocal wise. warstarplz.png

None of them have really strong vocals live, not even Minyoung. She uses a lot of strain rather than support (vocal lingo there if anyone knows it) that's why it sounds like she's screaming when she sings "rollin' rollin' rollin'" rather than it coming off as softer. Yuna is probably next in line to having a good voice but she has zero stage presence, Yujeong is amazing stage presence but her choreography is always a bit off, Eunji is probably the most natural on stage in terms of singing, dancing and/or rapping. Not trying to be biased or anything, just being real. I do hope that all this time of them not doing anything, that Brave put his "heat and soul" into giving them more training for performances so that they can really show what we all know that they are capable of, on stage, otherwise they will get lost in the influx of other girl groups coming back or debuting this year. He really needs to make them stand out more against everyone else. He was doing so well when they came back starting with Deepened, what the hell happened?

Yay an interview!

Awwww I miss the girls

qea37Ju.jpg

They really shouldn't be apologizing for not promoting, that should be Brave Brothers. He is at fault here. I understand how hard it must be for the girls, they all really want to continue performing but it seems like Brave just isn't doing anything for them, and if he is he isn't moving fast enough. It's at a point where they don't even care if they don't make it big, they just want to meet the fans (both domestically and internationally) because of the support and dedication we have toward them. That's what I love about fans of underrated groups, they are more genuine to me. Really hope we get something soon.

On one hand I can appreciate it if BB kept Hyeran and Hayoon technically "on hiatus" (even though they left the group) just so they wouldn't have to pay penalties about walking out on the contract. Other agencies would not be so kind.

BUT, it is exactly what Brave Brothers did - saying Hayoon specifically was just on medical/personal absence or some such without saying she had left the group (when she clearly had) which makes Kpop fans think that any time an agency pulls that line - the group member is never returning

Gugudan did it with Hyoyeon (and she left), Laboum did it with Yulhee (and she left), and DIA is currently doing that with Jenny (which is why DIA fans are worried). The two exceptions to this I can think of are Oh My Girl where Jine had anorexia (and this was clearly announced where she was on leave so fans knew it was serious and was understandable when she left) and EXID, where the members always talked about Solji during her medical leave so fans wouldn't think she was leaving. If a group member has left, just say so. You can still keep them under contract in some fashion (as Hyoyeon is with Jellyfish) without pretending the member is coming back.

This! Stop giving fans false hope! :(

I doubt it, but is there anything new revealed? I don't feel like watching something that's basically them saying they are preparing for something soon and that countless apologies of them not appearing much (as if it's their fault)

Honestly, would anyone? BB might just let them all leave and then replace them with a whole new set of Brave Girls as if nothing happened (he's sorta done it before).

He honestly just should have named the current roster a different name, and just have Ex-BG members Hyeran and Yoonjo in the new group. Although, it's not like that would have changed anything. The same hiatus after Nowadays You, is happening again after Rollin'. It's like they release one of the current lineups BEST songs then decide to put them in hiding.

Rollin' is one of the best Kpop songs of 2017 and is what got me interested in Brave Girls. Its criminal that Brave Brothers (a man who produces songs for a living) followed that up with...nothing.

He followed it up with Rollin' (New Version) a remix literally NOBODY asked for and NOBODY cared about. He's just fucking lazy.

I'm screaming

Heehee! ;)

Who will be the last survivor ? Eunji ? amgplz.png

A new member that joins five years after the current roster comes out of their hiatus

Soon they will be called 'Brave Girl'

I thought the "Brave" in Brave Girls stood for Brave Entertainment/Brave Brothers, but maybe it stands more for like "Damn, girl, you're brave for staying in a group that it's CEO isn't gonna pay ANY attention to."

So, probably this is a bait...

But Yuna posted this and if my Korean is not fooling me, she mentions they're all in a practice room. It's hinting at a comeback, maybe?

I want to believe it, but two things (this is me being skeptical because it's been centuries since the last comeback and the promise of a comeback):

-Minyoung uploaded a video of her and the others doing a sultry dance (it was a short clip) several months ago

-It could just be yet another VLive (which they seem to be doing A LOT of considering they don't got anything else going on)
