I think Marchen Fantasty showed that solos during SNSD's world/Japan are sorely missed. You get to see a whole new to them that you wouldn't normally. Hopefully they bring them back in some form.

I just realised, there seems to be some big name cars in the teaser and from what i can (hardly) see they are/could be:

• Taeyeon with a Ferrari F40? Or Lamborghini Diablo (there's a car behind Yuri for a split second that has a similar front nose shape, they could be the same one)
• Jessica with Nissan GTR?
• Sooyoung with Ford Mustang
• Sunny with Bugatti Veyron

Looks like this is gonna be one very expensive MV. Hopefully they get to drive some of them (Soshi + fast cars  )

Hey guys, hope you're all enjoying the holidays.

I see that the theories for the next album have started already, with diamonds and "Mr Mr" being the main focus at this point. This pic, combines them both:



So allow me to do my own analysis:

First, here is a representation of diamond's chemical structure, otherwise known as a giant covalent structure (yeah boi, we're doing a proper analysis innit):



It's a basic repeating structure made from an atom having 4 bonds in a 3D plane. The most common element a diamond is made up of is of course carbon (carbon atoms can be in other arrangements which can lead to things like graphite or carbon nano-tubes, but that's not important here). But carbon isn't the only element with the property to have 4 stable bonds that can form a giant covalent structure, so can.....

And second, there's some slight evidence that the teasers final.....image...could be read as Mr Mr or even Mv Mv or something else entirely. Whatever the word is or is supposed to be, I think it's at least obvious to everyone that the image is created from a cardiograph output. Since a beating heart is obviously a sign of life, many people attribute something being alive as having a......

The girls looked amazing, both with their black and white dresses and their IGAB costumes.   They were hyper during their interview, they are freaking hilrious doing the little children’s game backstage

 

Their stage was easily one of the best of the night but there was a huge gaping hole were Yoona is supposed to be, I just couldnt help noticing it. With a group consisting of many members, one would expect a missing member not to make too much difference dance wise (eg like Suju sometimes I dont realise until its their time to sing), but with Soshi they perform so often and so fluidly with 9 that just 1 missing member can make a noticeable difference.

 

 

But overall the gayo was.....crap.

SNSD 5th album is supposedly gonna be called Mr. Mr! It's gonna show a new side to te girls and have 2 MV. A regular dance erosion and a drama version featuring te new smrookie girl.

 

not for soshi's mv pls.    

 

Just want to point something out, at the end of the teaser, there are male backup dancers (a first for Soshi). They could potentially be the male SM rookies.

 

I got nothing against them but SM please dont let them appear in SNSD MV just for the sake of promoting themselves (lots of solo/face shots of them etc) - I want it to be SNSD only, if they have to appear, make it so that they're there (their - triple homophone lol) to enhance SNSD's MV, not take anything away from them!

Tiffany is probably not very good when it comes to dancing but at least she works hard at it.

DAYUM! I knew the girls were physical monsters but that is astonishing.

 

The Boys being the highest selling album ever in Gaon (Mr Taxi is EXACTLY the same album, just another cover variant so I think its fair to count it as one not to mention other groups listed have version Bs) is one awesome achievement. Heck, I think IGAB has probably sold more than The Boys (minus Mr Taxi), makes you wonder just how much SNSD could've sold if they had a version B or a repack.........SM, you goofed.

 

But the most amazing thing is that they are a girl band. Let that sink in. Surrounded by some of the biggest and most famous boy groups in kpop and yet here's SNSD pwning just about everyone. Scary.

WHAT A PERF!

I have to say, that left a bad taste in my mouth.

 

The camera work was atrocious. Seriously didnt even focus on the correct person singing and half the time you had all these flying shots where you had stupid views of the girls. I mean seriously WTF, some other stages had bad camera but this took the biscuit.

 

Next SNSD. Like I said last time about their KBS gayo, losing 1 member makes a big difference to them due to how solid they are, and here you could see it clearly. There were points where the gaps were too big and it looked like maybe someone is in the wrong place or doing something wrong especially if you dont follow SNSD or seen their lives. They did decently again but its sadly just not up there to the standard they set with their promo cycle earlier this year.

 

But the BIGGEST problem for me was SM! Yes thats right SM! They had to shove exo everywhere and it hardly added anything to other's perfs (it freaking cut into Shinee's Everybodys slick choreo) but they couldnt be bothered to mix up anything special for anyone's stages.

• Fx basically got nothing, it was them on their own
• Shinee too just did dream girl, nothing that speacial about it.
• And SNSD, their premier group and closing act got literally nothing - no remix, no dance break, no back up, no confetti, no fireworks, no anything.

Its a gayo - the last performances of the year - and every other label provided stages fro their groups that went beyond just proving a stage to perform on. SM just did jack all.

 

The ONLY consolation im gonna get is that the girls looked amazing. Seriously, once again, the best looking of the night. Bring on the HQ pics!

I completely agree with you most idols did something different. They either remixed their songs or added another element. WHY COULDN"T SM DO THE SAME FOR SNSD.

 

I was really embarresed they are the top group but they performance was of an amateur group. Sm really doesn't care about snsd and F(x) at all. They threath their money earners like shit and give EXO better stages ( no offensive cuz i like exo allot).

 

Honestly I hope that this become a big issue so that it can wake SM up from the slumber they are in.

I know SM need a kick up the backside. Since releasing that exo make a lot of money and with relatively little resources, they've forgotten they have 2 female groups. In SNSD case, after IGAB we've hardly seen much of them all year either musically or TV wise. As for fx, well just look around the forum lol.

 

But as we saw from their recent solos at their concert and TTS at SBS today, the girls can still put on a great show but only if they are backed up by SM (it's not like during Marchen Fantasy SNSD rounded up their backing dancers themselves for solos or built their multi faceted stage lol). The girls still have the ability and passion, SM just isn't capitalising in it, and in most cases, hindering them.

 

This is the last time I'm gonna make any comments on this issue and just focus on the (little) positives, I'm starting to rustle my own jimmies

Ok since everyone is a fan of my gayo reviews here we go

 

They looked freaking beautiful (Hyoyeon ), but then again this a hat trick of nights where they've been the best looking Fany was amazing in red with Key too - pls wear moar red Fany!!

 

As for the stage well what can I say? One word: flawless. Simply put, after their disappointing gayos, SNSD bought out their A game. They showed everyone why they are THE girl group. They did a nice synchroed dance at the beginning and then blew everyone away with IGAB. Of course it still not gonna be up their as their best simply due to missing Yoona but damn for the situation, it was great.

 

The only real criticism I have is that SM is stil being stingy with no special stuff for SNSD (shinee got a nice rendition of Dream girl and cool props for everybody) but tonight just showed that even in spite of that, SNSD themselves can rise above that and still own it

 

SNSD started 2013 with a bang

And ended it with a bang (yes yes I know it's 2014 over there but still, just go along with it). They just fired an ultimatum to all girl groups - "THIS is SNSD, this is what you're up against. You still wanna challenge us? Bring it on then!"

 

Oh and props to MBC for putting on best gayo!

I'm glad from the knet comments so far its more   than . YoonGi FTW.

 

But there's also another thing, SNSD. I think since its such a nice couple people will look forward to, that whenever SNSD's comeback is, there's gonna be HUGE media attention around. If SM plays their cards right (that's a very big IF), SNSD could effectively get huge promo without doing much at all - this could potentially be their biggest comeback to date.

 

Its win win win win all round. This couple has soo much going for them, I think everyone wants to see them succeed!

Im seriously like a little kid all over again! First Yoona's dtaing turned me into a big ol softy and now Soo's has regressed me back into a little giddy girl wtaching her favourite drama One more dating story and Im gonna be the first real life equivalent of Benjamen Button

 

2014 is the year of open dating for Soshi (well everyone apart from Hyo who was blatantly datiing last year )
