so i guess instead of a 1:30 teaser we got the full music video...Nice...

 

so here's my take on it...am i disappointing a little bit? yes,but not with SNSD, i wanted to see more dancing in the video and i felt like i didn't get that...but then again maybe there's a dance video in the works,or they want to surprise everyone when they have there comeback. secondly i will admit i think the editing is scattered and it didn't really make sense to me, The girls look gorgeous as usual but honestly i just cant get pass the editing.

K-POP MV MEANINGS - SNSD MR.MR cr: kpoptimeout

As we understand many of you are confused by the new SNSD "Mr.Mr" MV and here at K-POP TIMEOUT we have an explanation for you!

First, here are the English Lyrics to help put things into perspective.

So the MV begins in a classy hospital.

 

We are shown a lot of operation equipment hinting at a major operation about to take place. There is also a diamond heart symbolizing a heart full of love ready to be transplanted.

 

 

There is also a man lying asleep who we assume is the patient, the Mr.Mr.

 

Taeyeon then kicks off the song singing "Let’s Go!", while holding an apple made of diamonds. As we all know apples are a symbol of love and lust (the forbidden fruit) and it can be assumed that the girls want to begin a shining relationship of love with this Mr.Mr. The idea of the forbidden fruit is further strengthened by Taeyeon’s lines asking the guy why is he afraid.

 

Seohyun then continues the song playing a Rubik's cube, mirroring the lyrics of telling the boy not to waste time try things out. We can assume the guy is not jumping for the girls like their fanboys would.

 

As the lyrics of Sunny suggest, the girls like the Mr.Mr. but he ignores and closes his eyes when they are close (as seen throughout the whole MV. The most he ever did was steal 1-2 glances). 

 

 

The chorus then suggests the guy does not have the guts to like someone like them and also has been hurt before.But still WHO IGNORES SNSD WHEN THEY ARE NEXT TO U?!

 

At this point in the MV, the Mr.Mr has been drugged for his operation which is represented by him seeing doubles of things.

 

 

To get the point across that the guy feels inferior to the goddesses, during the guy’s dreams in his drugged sleep (all represented in Black & White), he sees SNSD dancing like superstars in a car park like those oh so many Kpop Idol MVs.

The song continues and Yuri prepares the diamond heart for transplant with her lyrics of "Be stronger will you boy" cut-scening perfectly to Mr.Mr’s dream of SNSD in masculine attire, asking him to man up and like them.

 

 

Sunny then holds the diamond apple of love close to herself and then towards the guys’ heart, as if transferring her love for him before the life changing operation, reflecting the lyrics "You made my heart race hun".

 

 

As the dance break begins so does the operation.

 

 

They unbutton his shirt for the procedure (not because Taeyeon made the girls become pervs lol)

 

 

After much more operation symbolism we get to see the Hyoyeon getting the diamond heart out of its case and bring it to the guy.

 

 

Followed by the guy’s dreams of seeing all the girls reaching for his heart.

 

 

We see the heart one last time, followed by the girls walking gloriously out of the operation room, hinting at the success of the procedure of turning the Mr.Mr’s heart back to one of love.

 

 

The guy then wakes up in the operation room, finding himself left alone.

 

 

He then sees blurry memories (now in color to distinguish them from his dreams) of the 9 goddesses that saved him.

 

 

With individual flashbacks of them too.

 

The operation was like a metaphor of the girls bringing love back in his life through their love for him, and the Mr.Mr sees the memories of the love they once shared which is so surreal it felt almost dream-like(hence the use of both color and black & white).

 

And the MV of course ends with Mr.Mr finally being able to see all the 9 girls clearly.

 

That actually made sense to me,when it's broken down like that...

Yep,this come back was a complete mess..but what's done is done...let's look forward to seeing our girls on music shows and hopefully plenty of Variety Shows...

 

I've officially made my Lil bro a Sunny stan...he comes in the room and asks me to pull up videos with sunny it in,for some reason he thinks it's weird being a guy and looking up GG by himself,so watching GG(Sunny) video's with his Big sister(Me) is OK in his book...i secretly hear him playing Mr.Mr from time to time...he aint fooling nobody

 

*Now back to my "Elementary" Marathon,i have a season and  half to catch up on*

i managed with great luck and patience to try and not jump in on comments when people say things like that..because in some minds obviously people who like SNSD are only sones and not just a un biased person who truely likes the song or just music :-(

exactly,i first i thought they were trying to use SNSD Mr.Mr for promotions but then i remember the whole Hon incident...and i bet there going this route to take the heat off of that whole transgendered scandal they had...i dont think it was a smart idea...i have yet to read any comments but..im curious to see what kind of reaction they'll get if they perform live on tv some where....

 

plus i'm waiting to see if SM responds with a simple shade of:

 

"An Agency rep from SM has confirmed that neither SNSD nor the company had any knowledge of a group named Mr.Mr before recording of the song and believe that everything was merely coincidental,However SM & SNSD wishes them much success in there future endeavors"

Do other Sones know about this...i feel like we should make a picture stating not only do we need soshi to win because of the album but because of being the first and only girl group with the most wins in kpop history   we need to spam this to all of our SNSD fandom...unless they know about this already

i was doing some research and i would say..that i'm 70% sure SNSD has the most music show wins for any girl group...I'm not for sure when it comes just  Groups in general...but if they pass 74 wins,then they'll have the most wins for a music show's Combine....if that makes any sense lol i was gonna post it but it got to tedious,and i'm trying to eat dinner at the same time lmao

 

i wonder if they'll make a big deal out of it,or just be like eh..whateva's lol

Honestly I have half a mind of making a really arrogant thread about how they're #1 again, those rodents were so rude and obnoxious about that other group's success, I kinda wanna rub it in their face.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm forming a prayer circle and summoning satan for a repack but I highly doubt SM will give them a repack. SM's track record shows that they never do repacks for mini albums and the tour is starting in late april.

 

I hope we get a special edition with like 3 or 4 new songs so it could be a full album with 1 promotional song, like what big bang does with their mini albums

Ive learned no matter what you do or post when it comes to SNSD ranking on any chart,they will pull up another chart that's from a hour ago...or wait till some artist jumps up in ranks and say that SNSD is being slayed...i think in peoples eyes if SNSD isn't consecutively number 1 on a chart but is trailing behind by another group/artist,then SNSD is obviously descending from the Nation Number 1 girl group throne. so to be quite honest,you posting that would do nothing but cause a huge argument between Sones and some people on this board who have made it clear they don't like SNSD.  everyone can see the ranking from each site,and they can see exactly were SNSD and other artists/groups are currently rank,let that speak for itself,that even though we've had a hell of a ride with promotions,that despite what MANY people think,SNSD doing just fine with the B.S. that's been going on,but that's my thought process  LOL

 

honestly i just hope that we at least get another SNSD album rather it be another mini,or a full album..i don't want just a month of promotion,variety/radio shows then they disappear into obscurity,and they next time we hear from them is way later down the road(not counting TTS if they have a comeback album)  i want more soshi this year,more promotions more everything,i guess you can say I'm a greedy person
