I don't think a decent SONE would do something as obnoxious to any of the member in their own concert. Black Ocean and all the negative issues it entailed remain to be the darkest moment in the group's career, literally and figuratively. Among all fans, SONEs or any fan of SNSD know how taboo it is and how much it would hurt and affect not only the targeted member, the group, but also the entire fandom mostly made-up of OT9 fans.

 

Although judging from the amount of hate Tiffany gets--probably mostly from i-fans since those are the only ones I can see--one would think it's not impossible to happen...but I do hope those people won't go through such extent of idiocy and rudeness just because one member isn't your bias and you hate her guts.

Judging by people's reactions/upvotes here everytime someone posts something bout Taengsic (eventho it's just a fanart) so I thought there would be more taengsic shippers. Nahh it's just a badge anyway. We all know that there are soo many taengsic shippers outside there (and here) hehe

Sones know that SoShi have had Plastic surgery, we know that our girls in reality didn't actually like their super hit "GEE" and the cute concepts but they still followed through and did them, we know that their musical concepts are not decided by them but by the company, we know that the girls have been trained to speak properly in TV as trainees so they don't create scandals, we know that they all have their individual flaws that some can relate to, others are not so happy about them, we know each and every single ugly and pathetic rumour started about them and haters like to remind us everytime, we know that as a group they have had many fights among them some have been quite serious and the girls have admitted to it. We know all that and more but still we love them because of the many things they give back to us.

They give us songs that throughout the years we have fallen in Love with, some with one album more than the other others with their entire discography. Doesnt matter we as a fandom have found songs that made a "click" with every individual and compared with the cesspit of the music industry even 1 alnum is enough to become a fan

They have made us laugh with their antics on TV and have kept us entertained for so long with their personalities, some may say that their personalities on TV are fake but in all honesty I have yet to find a single person in my 27 years that is not faking something, in the end all that matters is that they have made me happy seeing them and brightened my day, what more could I ask from entertainers??????

They have made us cry with the real hardships they have faced on the road to becoming the group we all love and adore, from the endless trainee years, the disconnection some faced from their own families, the monumental irrelevant hate they received even BEFORE they debuted (no other GG has had it like that) the endless packed schedules leaving some during their debut about to pass out (Jessica).

They have showed us that the ones that in the end persevere are rewarded for their efforts and that is a lesson that is important to learn whatever source it comes from, be it an amazing book, your favourite schoolteacher your own parents or a K-pop Idol girl group.

All of the above are stuff that a person can learn from his environment even if he/she never listens to k-pop. You dont need to be a fan to learn those life lessons, however any affirmation of those things is something to be respected whatever source it may come from, it does not matter in the least that for SONES it is SNSD. Some things are universal.

In the end every fandom will have their group of crazies and there will always be people bitching and whining for various stuff, some out of superficial self-affirmation others due to heartfelt opinionated love about the group. What I love and respect about this fandom is that it has really been a long journey and our dedication doesn't seem to waver but always growing stronger.

As long as there will be a SNSD I will be a SONE        cause it is one of the things I am passionate about. As I am passionate about my books, my travels, my work, my friends, my little Peugeot and my little sisters.

I have no shame saying it, fuck the rest that think it is embarrassing

I was thinking we might not get them anyway if she went back in time for her bday given the current situation in Korea.

 

I think she even made an update just as the news of it was breaking out and she ended up deleting it shortly after. I remember looking for it but not finding it this morning on her profile.

 

I guess it will be for the best if things are kept at low profile this time. It's a pretty sensitive situation and even an innocent update can gather a lot of negative attention...not to mention how some reporters would make an article off of it and label it with something like "SNSD's Jessica Updates Her Fans with a Happy B-day Selca during the Search for More Survivors".  K-netz even made a big deal of EXO concert tickets (?) trending and ranking higher above the more important news. Blame and hate would thrown at anyone who doesn't show sympathy, so I guess it's better to avoid all those. And I do hope there will be more survivors because just thinking about hundreds of people losing their lives in such a tragic incident is horrible.

Yeah, I also remember something going around on twitter earlier asking Sones to hold back on searching up on Jessica on all search engines and SNS sites and just to generally keep a low profile of things. Though, I don't know if many people saw it.

 

I hope a lot of will at least try to cooperate. It's for Jessica's sake in the end, and we can always go to her Weibo and other girls' SNS accounts, or here. She may not update soon, but I bet she will thank the fans later on. She always does
