Knowing how YG confident enough to put 2ne1 h2h w/ soshi I would assume that he's prepared already or at least he knows that public will most likely to like 2ne1 new song/Album. So he has a bit of my interest already.

But I'm more looking forward to what kind of tactic K-sones have for this time cb knowing YG sneaky move (releasing a week after soshi), or how more of sones will unite to boost MR.MR album sales just because

He would be a fool to think the public will like 2NE1's song better even before he heard SNSD's, unless he's a fortune teller or something    Looking back at it, I don't think he really knows what he's doing tbh. 2NE1's physical album being released one week after SNSD's and the fact that they've reblogged that SNSD vs 2NE1 article only show that they're desperately trying to "safely" overlap with SNSD, using on top of that SNSD's name to get attention. It pretty much screams "insecure" to me.

 

K-SONE are very organized so I'm sure they'll be planning many bulk orders every week instead of buying everything upon the album's release to ensure a maximum of victories on music shows (as irrelevant as they are lol).

lol SM, who has kept the Dancing Queen MV for 4 years, lost data of the world's biggest girl group's MV for one of the most anticipated comebacks of the year ? AND data from a MV that has been re-shot thus already made them lose loads of money ? Would they really be that stupid not to make extra copies of it ? I'm not buying this, like, AT ALL.

 

They probably didn't like the shady media play YG was doing about 2NE1's comeback. It's obvious that YG was trying to sabotage SNSD's comeback and SM just wants to beat him at his own game. Honestly, I think nobody ever imagined SM would have the guts to actually move SNSD's comeback now that 2NE1's was announced, but they did. It just sounds like one big "fuck off" to me.

 

Now I think it would be very positive if they released the title song/MV with the rest of the album of the 24th instead of pre-releasing MR. MR., but giving the bs they announced today, it now seems like a sweet dream. I have a feeling SM will delay the album to March 3 or worse, March 10.

 

I don't see SM announcing losing data and suddenly going "oh in the end we worked it out and nothing's delayed". Watch them make an announcement about the album being pushed back tomorrow. I really hope I'm wrong though.

 

Edit : And yeah, now that everybody's mentioning it, why wasn't there any preview on M!Countdown yesterday ? I mean, before today's announcement, the girls were still supposed to have their first stage next Thursday. That's shady as hell.

But I guess it's apparent why the "delay" is occurring - SM just wanted to give YG, the biggest Sone around, a full dose of SNSD Just wish they didn't have to come up with such a dumbass excuse, could've say something generic like "we're adding finishing touches".

I don't think SM will release the album before the MV ? Everybody automatically go watch the music video when a song just gets released, which results in explosive YouTube views, especially for SNSD. If everybody knows the song and the album already, the hype will have slowed down a lot and many people won't be interested in seeing the MV as much.

 

So since the MV isn't coming out anytime soon, the album certainly isn't either.

Even if it is a promotional act, it still seems weird to me that they fear YG and 2NE1 that much.. doesn't really shows a lot of confidence.

 

So I hope it really is a technical error, while stile stupid ofcourse for such a large company. I'll stay excited nonetheless.

I honestly don't think they fear 2NE1, like at all. I think they just don't want to share the spotlight with ANY other major act. As icesica said, they probably want to get some press from US media with SNSD's comeback like they did with IGAB and 2NE1 sort of is competition on that point.

 

Even if SNSD wins by far in Korea, the attention will inevitably be divided in the rest of the world ; the pro-MR. MR. and the pro-Crush (while everyone could be jamming to both songs if they were released at different times). And it's probably what YGE wanted to create : some fuss about both groups clashing so that people who were anticipating SNSD's comeback are now watching 2NE1 closely too to see what they have in store against the most popular group.

 

But if SNSD is the only major act releasing an album in let's say, 2 weeks from now : 1) "nobody" cares about what 2NE1 is going to deliver anymore since they can't media play about being so confident going against a bigger group, 2) all the attention will be on SNSD, 3) YGE doesn't screw SME by releasing 2NE1 a few days after SNSD and he doesn't get his media play about 2NE1 winning over SNSD like in 2009 with Genie & I Don't Care.

 

I think SME is working their asses off for MR. MR. right now and they want to have everyone's attention, without sharing it.

 

But they'll still release the album on the 24th right?

Since 2NE1 does the same thing.......

Nobody knows exactly what SM is doing right now but you should expect the album to be delayed too. It's very likely.

So SM didn't make any announcement today ? Are they seriously going to tell us tomorrow (or worse, on D-Day) that the MV release is delayed ? At least have the courtesy not to cancel everything at the very last minute when all the signs are here. No teaser on music shows, SNSD taken off from MelOn's schedule, etc.

 

Pull a Beyoncé, otherwise make an official statement about the delay. You owe this to the fans.

 

Now I'm hoping for a 24/2 release.

Can anyone explain to me is there any fight between taeyeon n jessica coz i just read an article at allkpop pages where taeyeon speaking of soshi bond in magz interview...and there is a few fans comments dat said taeyeon not close to jessica...some said taeyeon doesn't like jess..is there any incident dats i don't know about..or is this just assumption from fans view point...

Nobody knows if something really happened but they used to have a lot of interactions. They don't anymore. We don't know anything else, but fans have been speculating that maybe they got into a fight. However, we're not in the girls' privacy and it's not right to assume things.

 

Jessica still appears on group shots on TaeYeon's Instagram, which means that the girls still hang out all together. If there were big fights and resentment, you wouldn't see the whole group partying together. Now, it's true that TaeYeon and Jessica barely interact with each other, but as I said, it's their own business and we shouldn't make up false explanations and spread them as the truth, because only SNSD knows what's really going on.

 

The fact that you still see the nine of them together on their IG accounts basically reduces arguments such as "the Soshi bond doesn't exist anymore" to ashes. Nine girls who aren't close to each other don't renew their contracts, etc. So many proofs of the girls being extremely close, yet people only pick up on sheer speculation.

I really hope SM makes an official statement regarding the girls' comeback tomorrow, because that MSN article didn't look so reliable to me. Was there even a Korean article about the date being the 24th now ? Because SONEs who usually tweet informative stuff don't seem to give credit to that article and totally ignored it.

[TRANS] Originally, SM was scheduled to release SNSD's audio file on 19th and via that, prepare their first comeback stage on MCOUNTDOWN but that has come to a failure. 

 

The release of the MV has become postponed, the release of the audio file and their first broadcast schedules have also become postponed. 

(Currently) SNSD's comeback agenda has not been confirmed.

 

Regarding SNSD, "(as of) today, 19th, the new song has not been released... Comeback agenda will be readjusted"

Depending on the completion of the MV, the comeback agenda will be readjusted.

 

An accurate SNSD comeback agenda has not been evident but at the latest, the industry observes that the new mini album will make its appearance within he first half of March. In addition, it can be assumed that SNSD's 4th mini album activities will at least continue until the end of March.

lol they'd better be. Thank you SM for pushing back the release to March and shortening AGAIN the lifespan of Mr. Mr.. Now we will barely have, at best, one full month of promotion. After being away from the Korean industry for more than one year, this is what the girls get...

 

I swear I love Shoujo Jidai but their activities in Japan have been ruining their promotions in Korea for 2 years and I'm starting to get pressed. They should be re-scheduling their Japanese activities if there's a problem, not the other way around. I know it's impossible right now to postpone concerts, but every time there's a schedule conflict, it's because the girls have something to do in Japan. SM should consider putting aside Shoujo Jidai after their tour and give SNSD, a KOREAN girl group, what they deserve ‒ and it's definitely NOT those half-assed Japanese singles they've been releasing since last year. Because obviously, it's their Korean songs that fuel their popularity in Asia and get noticed worldwide, so SM, if you want to expand SNSD's name and get in the money, do your job correctly.

 

Now if they're not coming back in Korea again later this year with 10 title tracks, along with music videos each worth $3 million and 6-month promotions, I'm gonna nuke SM's building. Oh, and Mr. Mr better be the biggest hit of their career and have SNSD's best music video to date because right now I don't understand what is taking so long.

 

And don't tell me it's because of YG anymore because I'm so desperate I actually believe that data loss bullshit. 

 

As of now, I'm betting on 03/10 for the 4th mini album release.

 

Sorry for this rant post but I hate SM right now. They're killing the hype that surrounded this comeback because people are getting tired tbh.

Honestly, the girls can start preparing for the concert right now (learning dance steps) since we're assumming promotions will have to end early so they can have a month to prepare for the new concer tour. That way, the comeback can be around the one month long time frame they were aiming for before the delays.

 

Also the march date is the industry guessing. Might still be earlier if they can recover/reedit/or reshoot the mv in time.

Well, considering the mini album was supposed to be released on February 24 and considering the following Monday is already March 3, it's safe to assume it will indeed be released in March.
