I'll be quite honest, I'm really hoping nothing else comes out from this dating 'scandal.' I'm really hoping SM contains any leaks by fans or antis. Somethings are meant to be private and not to be shared by the public. I don't care if they're public figures or that they're celebrities, fans need to know their boundaries. No one, including fans, has the right to know what's going on in the personal lives and relationships between a couple.

Why Taeyeon and Baekhyun’s ‘love affair’ was dangerous… She forgot about SNSD

As the most loved SNSD member, Taeyeon has money and honor. However, for a while now, she’s mentioned her depression. It was to the point where it started interfering with SNSD’s promotions. Early this year, there was a time when there was chaos in a music show SNSD was scheduled to be at. Taeyeon didn’t appear for rehearsals. Also, Taeyeon gave a halfhearted appearance on ‘Radio Star’, that couldn’t even be edited into something good. It started circulating amongst the managers that Taeyeon could not be controlled. It is around this time that Taeyeon is believed to have started falling for Baekhyun.

 

But it is known amongst the fans that though SM said they’ve been dating for 4 months, they’ve actually been dating for a longer time. They also know that this isn’t Taeyeon’s first relationship. Still, fans covered it up. When Yoona, Sooyoung, and Tiffany’s relationships were revealed, fans trusted in Taeyeon. But Taeyeon, as if she wanted people to watch, let the top down in her convertible car and used her SNS to send cryptic messages to Baekhyun.

 

When Taeyeon got her instagram, fans welcomed her. But when fans found her Instagram, Taeyeon’s reaction was “Those people are gatheringâ€, as if to treat fans like bugs. She forgot the amount of love fans give her.

 

When the problem started getting serious, Taeyeon posted an apology. However, her apology didn’t seem to have any sincerity. Fans’ hearts can’t be healed by a simple denial like this.

Also, @Taengchoding on twitter mentioned that even Stella Kim told haters to back off. I'm guessing, apparently in the rush to drag Taeyeon through the mud, certain pictures were used -- pictures that Stella demanded to be taken down. 

 

 

 

Now let's have a pep talk because I'm sure y'all sick of the negativity.

 

samuelrocks gets fed tidbits but he's insane. His tweet that got screencapped and sent around the fandom looked like one of his overreactions when something rubbed him the wrong way. So his scream of "OT8" therefore may not mean what we're afraid it means, because he could very well be overreacting (especially since that OT8 hollering came almost RIGHT after KhunFany was made officially official and Hyo was being dragged through the mud over Jay).

 

Hell, I don't even think the girls are here for OT8 and would much rather avoid it, because not only is OT9 a public relations asset but they (still) actually like being around each other. 

 

After seven long years -- let's say, if they actually have to promote a song as SNSD without one of the 9 -- I can imagine them being in dance formation in that practice room, but instinctively thinking about the spot in their formation that someone should be filling if she were there. I think that scenario is the Nightmare Scenario -- what Sones are most scared of since the girls have propagated the [same] 9 as 1 mentality and indeed, to me, it is their strongest appeal.

 

Mr. Onion said they wouldn't disband even with the "she wouldn't have to [leave] if she really didn't want to", well, maybe it's the Nightmare Scenario OR it could merely be the continuation of the SNSD brand (i.e., the members still introducing themselves as 'SNSD's [insert member name here] during activities, but they would promote in subunits -- which would carry the SNSD brand like TTS did -- and solos).

 

But I can accept that 1 of them, for (hopefully) a good reason, has decided to move on -- either temporarily or permanently -- as long as the members have discussed, understood, and won't be blindsided if/when one of their number leaves. That's all I really ask for. I prefer to think that the girls know what their close friends+colleagues of 7 long years really want; it's the fans who are waiting for them to make their choice -- whatever it may be -- official. 

 

Who'm I kidding? If even Mr. Onion has a whiff of that info, then surely all 9 of them at least know where the others stand and know each other's reasons for wanting out. They've probably ALL had that thought -- "I want out, I'm so tired" -- multiple times over the past 7 years...remember, Taeyeon even ran away before debut. Yet they dug in, and they stayed for a while longer. After all of that? Whatever reason they have, it is unlikely to be a petty one. Sunny, the wisest one -- and one who I do not believe is easily fooled -- said it herself. "Girls' Generation is strong," because each member encourages the others to do their best in whatever they have been given.

 

And maybe this time, what has been given isn't a solo, or an acting project, or a modeling contract -- though it could be any of those things -- but...something from real life, beckoning them forward. Something that they want. Something that will make them happy. And if Girls' Generation is who Sunny says they are, no matter who may or may not be leaving -- the other eight members understand and are encouraging her to do her best. That is still OT9. Those will still the same girls we have loved.

 

Who am I to begrudge them this choice?
