My concern is that their accent comes out a bit when they sing the American anthem (which is why I understand that people are upset Jessica wasn't chosen) which would probably increase chances of a backlash like what happened to that Mexican American kid. 

 

Oh well, it is Korea Day or something. Whether or not there is any backlash, moments like this wherein 'foreigners' are singing the anthem of a country that is 'not their own' would do well to occur more often in my opinion. Small steps towards greater tolerance.
