Kim Jo Han comments on former vocal students Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and Jessica

 

 

 

Veteran R&B singer Kim Jo Han revealed what it was like to train Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and Jessica as their vocal coach.

 

On the November 12th broadcast of MBC FM4U's 'Kim Shin Young's Noon Song of Hope', Kim Jo Han revealed, "I taught Taeyeon and Jessica. They were both outstanding students."

 

DJ Kim Shin Young asked, "Between Taeyeon and Jessica, who did you have to help a little more?" Kim Jo Han responded that both idols were talented as expected, but they each had their own approach, saying, "Their styles are totally different... Taeyeon always did well. When Jessica first came in, she had a small sound. I think she was shy... But in a few months, Jessica improved a lot, so I was impressed."

We all know it was Taeyeon. Taeyeon is a resonance Queen whereas Jessica still hasnt resonated or open throat before. However her transition from Dance line is outstanding.

If u think MAMA award is irrelevant, don't get worked out if the girls didn't win. Don't downgrade other artist achievement as they also work hard and have the quality to win the award.

 

People seem to forget that MAMA is YG bias, not all in the world belong to SM. Rather than worried about SHINee win daesang, be prepared for PSY and GD to stole one of daesang awards

But they are in the middle of a World Tour with supposed later dates outside of asia in Europe, North & South America etc.!

How is this meant to work exactly? they are going to be absolutely dead by the end of next year if we are to see a K-Comeback or 2, a 3rd Japan tour on top of their already active World Tour, more JP single releases most likely starting in June with a 4th JP album dropping in late december/early january! 

 

GIVE US SOME TIME TO MISS THE GIRLS SM & UMJ! if not totally for us but for the girls, they have worked so hard...they deserve rest 

That why SM, postponed the korean comeback, they want to go all out with 3rd album Japan promotion. Tour is the best platform for promote their album. Just like they did for 1st Jpn album.

 

And don't forget for SM, Jpn tour + album money >>>>>>>>>>>> korean comeback money. (And for me Jpn album>>>>>>> korean album.)

 

So it's impossible to expect korean comeback for a while, or people will start to whining again to SM to give give the girls rest.

 

SM and the girls can't please everyone, people want the girls have rest and vacation, but yet they are the one who was vocally wants korean comeback, world tours, and doing lots of promotion instead of resting. So it's understandable that SM will priorities promotion who gives them more money.

i like motorcycle (catchy bass), karma buterfly (good for dance in club), and everyday love (remain me of AMLIFY and forever).

I need help. It's official. I can't stop playing Gossip Girls. I try to wean myself off but I hit replay.

 

Motorcycle sounds really good and Karma Butterfly sounds promising. Why weren't these songs promoted again?

so people will buy the album for that gem. if all good song being promoted as single, some people who already buy the single wouldnt want to buy the album.

 

another aspek is event tought the song is good for listen, but if to much autotune or not performance/coreography oriented, cant be good enough to be tittle material. (dont forget that soshi also VISUAL GROUP as their selling point)

He/she said that Tiffany has increasingly been getting more lines and he/she feels SM must have promoted her

to "main singer" along with Taeyeon and Jessica. And that is open for debate on the thread.

sighh.. this jessica vs tiffany topic need to stop, why people always brought negative attention about tiffany (and always been compared with jessica) wherever she get more lines, but people seems to forget that other members also had time when they get more lines (but nobodycares)

I think a lot of people don't get the 'fan' thing. As much as your idol has a career, from pre-debut to rookie to veteran to fading popularity to the 'end' where he or she will be hosting variety or fully into dramas that might happen every year or two, YOU, the fan, will have a career.

 

You start with, OMG everything my idol does is perfect and everything is perfect and love is the world. Then you start seeing things to make excuses for. OMG, the stylist HATES her! OMG, wtf is that costume? OMG, what is this music? THEY ARE RUINING MY FANDOM! OMG, what? The company won't let her be all that she can be??? OMG, the shippers are shit. OMG, why can't they train her to speak perfect English? EVERYTHING IS SHIT!!

 

And then by the end, you are a sad, sad, bitter little victim. o.O Is THAT what you want to get out of being a fan?

 

Realize that you're stanning someone from another country. Accept that. You're stanning someone who WORKS for a company. That company will make decisions, surprise, NOT IN A VACUUM. To YOU your idol is everything, but to the company, your idol is a property and if that company is smart, NOT the only property they own. And it IS an ownership of sorts. That contract they signed, and re-signed, means that decisions in her career don't include YOUR (the fan's) personal wishes and wants. That's reality.

 

So really, the only decision you get to make wholly in this experience is how bitter and burned out you'll be at the end of it.

 

If, as a fan, you're disappointed and resentful at THIS point of the girls' careers, careers that have been by any measure remarkable in k-pop, then may I submit that YOU (the fan) ARE DOING IT WRONG.

i think fans should realise that the girls (and SM) know what that good for them more than us, the girls can't be on this level of achievement if SM is stupid. There are so much pro-contra with what the girls do and release now, but in the end they prove they can achieve so much (remember when lot of SONE bitching about how bad IGAB and would be downfall of SNSD thanks for the stupidity SM, but in fact that song get a lot of recognition that more than expected). when i doubt something, they always prove me wrong with their achievement, So I better to enjoy and trust what direction that the girl take rather that i have to complains every single time (and act like i'm smarter than them).

 

whereas other girl groups is still struggle to achieve recognition that their deserve, and their fans can only wish their idol to to better, or even just wish to release something/get news from them. we are lucky because the girls can experiment on what they can do (eventough lot of backlash) and branch out from their comfort zone, which is i doubt any other company has guts to take risky route and just prefer basic safe song.

Their is nothing wrong with wanting the best for your fav Idol, but if it reaches the point when you are bitter and actually unhappy and dislike what they are doing, then its time to step back and cool down. Reevaluate.

Are you a fan of what SNSD is actually doing now or have done before,

or are you a fan of what you think they should be doing to please you.
