i don't think this MV is the same as the others...this one had a storyline, why are people so upset?

this was far better than what they usually give us: closeups and some dance cuts

 

I don't think the MV concept and everything is bad but it does looks poorly executed, which its what bothers me. The girls looked great, the manly concept is good, the idea that we are seeing this from the point of view of the patient is great, the choreo looks nice too, it all had amazing potential but... the production, the edition and the final product all look underwhelming.

 

 

Galaxy supernova might have been simple but it was well done, same with My oh my. Also both of these videos were part of the same production cycle, along with Love&Girls. This is the only MV we are probably getting for this mini. 

 

 

I'm not hating the comeback, not at all. I love the songs and I'm sure I'll love the stages but this was supposed to be THE comeback. After the international recognition, they extensive touring last year, all the solo project the girls had, all of that put them in a great position for this comeback. But with the delays, the missing data, the re-shooting, the leaks and the lacking MV, all that is undercutting all what the girls have been working for last year.

I don't see a difference between the two. 

For some reason I have never figured out some international fans don't really care for the Japanese releases when actually those Japanese albums are some of the BEST they have ever released.

I think you really missed the point of the video. The SNSD pop MVs ever have storyline anyways. Why is it that when a MV with actual high quality and extensive effort comes in, everyone complains because it doesn't look the same, because, there's "too much happening". Slow down and just watch the video that consists of 9 beautiful women, dancing and singing to music, then come back and make a review. It's a wonderful MV.

Honestly the mv isn't that good. The editing was horrible. There were 3 versions in one mv. They could have had one dance version with just the suits or a version with only close ups or a version in the garage.

Snsd is a 7 year old group they really deserve better. They are the money makers and get treated like this. All their other comebacks where way better executed.

Cause that's what the fans actually care about. They knoe that the money is in the Japanese efforts, but they don't care. They like K-Pop. They're into the K-Pop trend. They don't really know, or care, really a WHOLE lot about the real meaning of it. They just love and want to be included in their K-Pop. There were like 9 outfits, at least the amount I counted for Taeyeon, I guess all of them had the same amount. What was the point really, it's really difficult to make a decent plot while jumping around so many different styles. So I agree, If it was only 3, as sexy nurses and doctors(their job), boyish concept(their secret life as cool dancers) and the classy club dresses(for their night life) lol, it would have been better imo.

I liked the visuals of the mv, but i can't love it. 

I hoped that I would like the song after seeing the mv, but nope. It still does nothing for me. 

 

Hopefully they will remix it into sounding a bit faster or something. Or have a slightly different version for the performances, lika IGAB had. The song lacks 'power' if you ask me.

I know that after SM fucked up and lost the MV no one wants to give them any credit but I think, for the short time they had to put things together, they did pretty fucking well. The girls look stunning, the concept is brilliant (it's supposed to look choppy and blurry, as someone mentioned before about being seen through CCTV/the guy's POV), and the colors are gorgeous. I know the girls are probably hella pissed that they had to re-shoot but looking on the bright side, maybe they got to give it their best? That's something I frequently see them lamenting about after performances, etc. 

 

ANYWAY. I wish that sometimes Sones would spend more time enjoying the good things instead of complaining about the bad. As much as no one wants to think about it, we don't know how much longer we'll get with the girls and I think it's best to soak it all up when we have the chance instead of moping about what could have been. 

 

Yes. The MV was fucking flawless. They're not in a clean box. Ok. It's more like transformers. There's supposed to be a lot of lights and action going on. No one complains about TF because they understand that was the intended direction. Take your perspective that way with this MV. Because of the lights, all of the color wapring, all of the extremely saturated color dynamics. The extreme HQ focus. It's supposed to be flashy and dynamic this way. It's beautiful, and wonderfully executed.

I HAD Nell's 4xArpundTheSun at number 1, but this is at number #1, and Nell is at #1.8

The mini album is good I like all the songs. But the mv is meh for me it doesn't add anything to the song. 

 

Snsd is known for their dancing and you can't really see them dancing. 

If they released a dance version first and then this version I would apreciate the mv more.

I know that they lost same footage but that is SM fault. They also failed to remind itunes of the delay and that caused the leak. And this forced Sm  to rush everything.

Since when was SM this sloppy for a comeback. Snsd is one of their top earners and they lasted 7 years so they really deserve better.

 

We know that snsd will slay their comeback performances but I have a feeling that this comeback won't be huge because of all the problems that happend.

Yeah the song is still at the same spot in my heart for me. I don't like it very much. I didn't think that would change after the MV, and it didn't but I loved the MV. It was their best one in my opinion. The song is kindof like the backlighting for the MV.

Everyone liked it and praised it when it was released, even though it was basic as fuck.

You know what, after reading so many complains, all I gotta say is that I'm actually way more pleased with MR MR than IGAB

Music wise MR MR is far superior imo, the video is less embarrassing (lets be honest, I'm never gonna get over the aegyo hip hop, I get scared if a man rings my door, ties my shoes, buys me ice scream thing)

This is actually a song and MV that I would show non-kpop related people with out a care in the world

 

I would probably say something like 

"These are 9 korean divas" lol

 

But I feel for people that are frustrated… thats how I felt like last year with IGAB, and it does speak of a problem, of SM not putting massive appeal into SNSD music.

Tbh I've yet to meet someone (being a sone or not) that doesn't like Genie, but releases after that became quite polarizing. 

What SM is missing is massive impact and appeal, but tbqh I don't think they are really looking for it.

That was never the point in any part of this whole series of conversations. We're talking about the MV. I don't like the song. No, it doesn't add anything to the song, the song is like a backlight for the MV. It was kindof like an OST is to Feauture Film. Just had a thought. If everyone's problem with this MV is over the fact that it didn't add anything to the song's actual quality or sound in terms of SNSD's comeback, realize this: there is only so much that an MV can do to a person's preference over a particular song, especially when the MV is released so far after the song has already been out.

SNSD is not "known for their dancing". WTF? In all honesty, I understand your up-set over this, but, especially in terms of this music video, I would rather see amazing dancing like they have in this video sprinkled throughout than a dance that is not as good, that you can see almost the whole entire time.

I don't know why (well I do) but I don't see why some of you keep getting so bunched up. It's not likely going to effect SNSD's running at all. It surely won't effect their long time score.
