I also love the MV.

 

Didn't SM say SNSD's comeback is gonna be mysterious? It certainly was when I saw the MV. It wasn't the tyical SM dance in a box. It was mysterious, kinda creepy, elegant, with a nice flow of story, and the fact that they showed less dances tells us that we wont see anything more until the comeback date. The dance break snippet sort of pumped us up as well as the fedora and suits. We want to see more and SM is damn successful in getting that out of us.

 

The girls also looked gorgeous and I kinda understood the use of the actor/model hence I said a nice flow in the story. I think the contrast between original shot and re-shot asked for the addition for effects and fillers which is actually one of the reason I love the MV.

 

SM goes for the typical MV in a box with dances and close ups and people complain.

SM does the unconventional and there are still complains. Lol

 

But I do agree the MV was half-assed but so far, really like it regardless.

the line distribution kinda disappointed me. after watching the MV, i realized some lines i thought it belonged to the dance line, were actually from the vocal line. which is fine, i know they're obviously better singers, but still, i'm quite sad...

 

Yoona, i thought she had 4 lines, but in reality, she only has 1

Yuri has 3

Sooyoung has 5

Hyoyeon has 7 which surprised me a lot but i'm happy for her

 

and poor Seo, although she's not a dancer, only got 3

 

this song was full of TaeNySicSun (in terms of lines)

 

i think even IGAB has a better line distribution, tbh

I love the girls but I have to say either:

A) some of the girls pissed off the SM higher ups
B) SM assigned some new people to be in charge of SNSD's direction

C) theres gonna be a new SM girlgroup
D) this is bait for YG which SM will release something EPIC later

 

I really hope its just D, because the way SM has handled everything about this comeback is a MESS. SNSD and us fans deserve better.

If you want to call the foot placement a mess when what do you make of everyone's arms. Some are holding their shoulders, others are holding the hats and others are neither here not there.

Another thing is, I'm probably the one who thinks this but the mv is supposed to look like that because we're seeing the view  from the Mr. Mr. (the guy) their patient- And the guy is what? mentally unstable? sick? migraine? ill? hallucinating? while recalling his moments with them. he looks like he is in an evil/satanic/weird hospital and they're messing him up. which explains why the messy/blurry scenes that looks weird and stuff.

 

Therefore, to me the styling of the mv is intentional and artistic.

Okay I'm not the most eloquent person to explain this, but I hope you get what I mean.

 

Just my opinion.

Wow. Now that I think about it, you may be right. Maybe the effects was the result of him being mentally unstable or lke fragments of his imagination. Nice. :D

No, not necessarily. They have to release one major MV that's gonna count as entry for chart counting in music shows. So this one had to be it. They can't use other minor versions if ever there are any (dance version, specific outifit version, etc) because that's not gonna look like it's the major MV that incorporates all themes. So, yeah, I think there are other versions coming still.

 

I have enough lessons already this year so I'll just pray and I am truly praying for you that another versions will be released.. esp the dance version.

Seriously Yoona should just quit SNSD if they are gonna treat her like this. She is famous and popular enough to be star on her own, and we all know acting is her true love. Honestly it`s sad that she has more time to shine when she is doing solo projects than when she is with her own group. Too bad she is so attached to the group and loves SNSD more than anything, cause she would honestly be better on her own at this point.

I don't care what anyone else says. THIS MV WAS SO DAMM GOOD. And I bet it is from the perspective of the guy like someone mentioned. Think about it. In the garage scene there ia a faint background going on. Like maybe the guy is seeing double/multiple things. Like he was hallucinating. This is the type of MV's I LOVE. The ones that make you think. Good job SM good job. Even though your ass was late as fuck still great job.

Wow, that's a great take on it! It really makes sense if you watch carefully, because mainly the hospital parts are with this blurry/grainy/3d filter. It the people editing really thought about it that way, it makes me like the MV even more
