After watching it a few more times, I love it tbh.

OH GOD, THINGS WERE HAPPENING WAY TOO FAST

 

but seriously, am i the only one who ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE MV? XD

 

i couldn't even analyze the dance break, though. wth, it was WAY TOO FAST, all i know is that Hyoyeon was in the middle

 

speaking of Hyoyeon, she had a lot of screentime

 

in fact, i noticed that the members with the most screentime in this MV are Sooyoung, Sunny and Hyoyeon =O

 

i barely saw any Seohyun, Yoona...or maybe it was so fast, that i couldn't catch them all

 

 

the MV made me love the song even more <3

nah. i'm with you! i greatly enjoyed it. i thought yoona got a somewhat fair amount of screen time. seohyun was the one i felt a was shorted a bit. but she was still in there a somewhat good amount.

That's my full story though. I thought the guy and the girls went to an exclusive type bar/club and something went down and the guy had to go to Soshi ER with a faint heart beat. Lucky he got a diamond encrusted heart transplant. Later he wakes up and the girls have gone back to hit it up at the club some more.

seriously, if there's one thing i don't like in the MV, it's this. they never, EVER treat their lead dancers with respect. it's ridiculous.

you can bury that dream/hope cus if there's actually more than one version, SM would never re-shoot it and screwing their schedule since they have another versions. they could just released the one that actually ready.

 

Don't really expect RE-SHOOTING but a released of MV that would just showcase probably story line w/ full face shots alone

& ofc a DANCE VERSION.

about the dance break:

u do realise that them being in front means they're at the side....

meaning in performances they are most likely to be cut out because the camera will focus on the center

If there's anything i have to say about the MV, that is I LOVE THE DANCEBREAK. SO FUCKING MUCH.

I'm gonna watch the whole 4.04 minute video just to catch the dancebreak

The good

All the girls look gorgeous

The nurse/hospital theme is great

the garage scenes are good too.

I love the suits and 

Potential dance performance can be seen.

The moves look simple, but elegant and tasteful, nothing too complicated to mess up singing, and still interesting enough for choreo

 

The bad,

I guess SM really lost some data

the combined effect of the re-shoot plus the old footage does not mesh well.

The editing and effects were ....... rushed.

 

All in all, still a very good MV, if only becos the personal charisma of the girls held it up. Little credit to SM this time, only the concepts and themes can be credited to SM this time.

 

And the backup dancers were totally unnecessary.

Looks like I'm in the minority but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the MV 

 

I agree that it looks like at least three different ideas put together and some parts don't fit with the others, but that out aside, I like it that they tried something new. The hospital scenes give it a bit of a mystery and dark look, the girls look just stunning and I love the little of the choreography that we've seen, so I can't wait for the performances! All the colours, the visuals, everything is so beautiful 

 

Also, looks like the least popular members got a lot of screentime this time, so it makes me extra happy 

 

 

The only thing I'd like to see is more zoomed out scenes, like you guys pointed out. Especially at the end, when they're dancing in the dresses with the guys - I didn't even manage to see all of the members until the final shot, which is a big no no. Why bothering shooting something in a new scenery when you won't even show all the girls? It's like the orange wigs part from IGAB all over again.

Since I've been hating on SM for some time now, I don't really feel all mad right now

We know they are not managing our girls the way we like it, so I can only hope they either snap out of it before its too late, or SNSD decide to leave them… whatev, that not what I came here to talk about

 

 

THE MV

While I get why so many people didn't like the editing, can i just say that this was something that I've been expecting from the girls for a very long time??

Its sexy and mature, they have a boy in the mv which whom they actually interact with, (several boys if you count the ones in the garage and the end)

And while it is surprising to see a SNSD MV not having all that much dancing as we are used to, I actually happen to like it, it leaves room for expectation for their lives performances, and also takes them away from that package mv they have always been known for. Its more mature, less expected, it is not the usual SM dance mv with personal shots lip singing, this could even work as a pictorial for a fashion magazine

I don't know where I'm going with this, but for their age and the direction they are going I kind of like this MV concept better, show us some mature, sexy, elegant girls first.

 

All in all quite satisfied, CANT WAIT for the live performance, now I'm officially more hyped than ever.

It's artistic and unique, BUT the garage scene was out of place (I liked the zoom on jessica though..)

Another thing is, I'm probably the one who thinks this but the mv is supposed to look like that because we're seeing the view  from the Mr. Mr. (the guy) their patient- And the guy is what? mentally unstable? sick? migraine? ill? hallucinating? amnesia? while recalling his moments with them. he looks like he is in an evil/satanic/weird hospital (which looks very creepy, mysterious and eerie) and they're messing him up. which explains why the messy/blurry scenes that looks weird and stuff. mv we're seeing is like fragments of his memory/imaginations.

 

Therefore, to me the styling of the mv is intentional and artistic. its supposed to be that way.

Okay I'm not the most eloquent person to explain this, but I hope you get what I mean.

now that i notice...Hyoyeon is in the middle and Sooyoung and Taeyeon are behind her, which it means those 3 will most likely be the focus, since they're technically in the middle
