In many ways, I am immensely proud of this.

You gotta be household names, for something like this to work. Like literally every member has to have a extremely high level of name recognition among the public for this quiz to work.

not just the running man members and the guests must be familiar with all the SNSD girls, even the viewers, which means the genera public, must know all the girls for the joke and funnies to work.

 

You can see them name dropped or used in other situations as a sort of representative standard for girl groups, or national Icons.

 

I think other than WGs, and maybe Finkle/SES, no other girl group can do this.

Never asked any one to read my post ,don't whine if you get butthurt after reading my post.

 

I want to make some things clear about CMIYC

 

1. CMIYC is not doing as badly as some people try to make it seem like. Some kara fan are telling how they are selling better than snsd now beause they registered more number on oricon,

 

but  they don't know that kara had to do handshake event/polaroid photoshoot  event before releasing their single and later they did  2 more fan event( one today at osaka) where cd were bundledwith lottery for that event +a lot more gimmick with official fanclub members is also added for them

They are just trying to mediaplay of being successful by doing gimmick to get no1 on daily in a dead week.So people pays more attention to them and  they don't look like dead as they were last year

Actually below 10 k people bought their singles.

 

When UMJ released CMIYC in a week with HKT48,BoC ,Jsoul brothers,,we could have already guessed that umj was not trying to get no1 with snsd this time CMIYC was more of a fanservice .

 

So they  look satisfied with how things are.SNSD's merchandise sales and 2 fanmeets and sone + membership fees  would make much more revenue than such singles.

 

2.If jessica was there,their sales were not gonna change magically, ,The sales in japanese market is declining  for all acts .only gimmick is increasing.

 

No point worrying over a Jessica  ,she not just tried to be the victim for sympathy support and mediaplay in china  but also tried to destroy the group's name before the world  by implying " the evil 8 kicked out the innocent member who gave her best  in jealousy".

 

Seriously I don't get how dumb some sone have to be to not realise the effect ,impact and correspondence of her XXXX and XXXX action  to wish jessica was still there .

 

Sone should think , its a good riddence ,the other 8member wouldn't have to suffer internally because of such XXXX member.

 

We all know how you feel about Jessica.

And maybe some of your points are correct.

 

but don't use curse words or insulting, demeaning words on Jessica, no matter how you feel about her.

Respect that some people here still like her.

 

Even if you don't respect that, then at least understand that we want to keep this thread clean and friendly for all fans, new and old.

I am sure nobody wants to see unpleasant words being used here and incite more fan-wars.

I'll just say this, 

A slightly declining SNSD is still miles ahead of all the other girl groups.

 

If that means they should or will be disbanding soon, then all the other groups should be disbanding also, right? 

 

They are in their eighth year. By Kpop standards, that is very long, especially for a girl group.

A decline is normal. The girls have logically started to focus on their solo work more. We can't expect them to be promoting non-stop as a group forever. There will come a time when solo work is the focus and the group only comes back when they are all ready.

They did say before, they wanna be like Shinhwa. They do solo work, then come back as a group every once in a while for albums and concerts.

That is exactly what is happening now. So we get less hype and news and constant spotlight on them. This kind of decline is normal for established groups.

The fact that they are still highly regarded and considered to be the National Girl group for so long simply means they have made their permanent mark in the industry.

 

Just becos we had a ot of drama last year, some fans get emotionally affected and see every single comment or news or bashing as something serious and take it seriously.

 

Remember, SNSD has had hate and bashing and people predicting their downfall every year for the past 8 years, 

No, strike that out,

even before debut they had people hating them and predicting their disbandment.

 

Don't take all the bashing and hating and predictions of their disbandment seriously.

Whatever will happen will happen, and its not because of people hating and bashing.

Look at the positive side, the comeback and MV releases of the competition has been overshadowed by all the Jessica/CMIYC MV news.

Well, it is possible.

but I believe the risk is too high to warranty such a move, it could easily be a disaster for SNSD if it backfired.

Over the years, SNSD has won over countless haters and antis, with their voices, with their dance, with their efforts and charms and dorkiness and craziness and their determination.

Hater will try their usual tactics, like sowing discord by saying one member has more lines or better styling, or more screen-time, or more center positions, accuse Soshi of copying concepts, or outfits, or dance moves etc etc.

 

Don't get derailed and get drained trying to fight them.

 

Fight hate with love. Soshi love. Tell as many people as you can about our girls comeback. Support on SNS, on all the platforms, on Youtube, on forums, on polls and sales if you can.. 

Show our girls that we are here for them, not for the haters.

I am not going to listen to the leak.

Sure , its not going to affect the sales much, since it is not the leak of the SNSD version.

Sure, leaks happen pretty often in the industry, 

and 

Sure, it is not possible to contain the leak once it has happened,

 

So why bother, right? Listen to it, tell very one you know about it. Spread it. 

 

For me, I am not doing all of that.

You can call me dramatic or over-reacting, but this is one of the reasons why some members of this fandom sometimes, does not deserve the good things.

 

Because for me, it is a simple matter of respect for the girls. It may not affect sales, but I am sure SNSD would want us to listen to the official song when it is released.

Next time, before yo do anything, my fellow Sones, think about how the girls would feel.yeah?

 

Every time something like this happens, it undermines the support for SNSD just that little bit more, kills the hype just that little bit more,

And K-sones are going to trust and respect the international fandom just that little bit lesser than before.

 

And we wonder why the Korean fandom sometimes distrust and withhold information from international fans........

Lets not forget the fact that she has a 2 hour DAILY radio show, which means at least 3 -4 hours of her time taken up every day.

If there are overseas strips, she has to pre-record a lot of days worth of shows, and its not easy to find a stand-in DJ all the time.

 

2 hours of talking and intense concentration, its draining and exhausting.

Its work, and I am not saying she gets a free pass becos of this. But I have seen Taeyeon sick and almost collapse during 2009 when she was a solo DJ for Chinchin radio.

Being a DJ is tiring, she has to talk a lot.

Sunny has never been the sort to quit or act like a Diva.

If she isn't giving her all, I am sure there is a good reason.

 

By all means, criticise if she isn't performing well, but saying this comeback will be ruined becos of her... that's a little too much. You can't predict the future.

She could legit have serious problems, or suffering from injury or sickness.

I do not want a repeat of years ago, where one member would end up in hospital during a concert or performance.

I want this comeback to be a success, and I am sure Sunny wants it as well.

 

So lets support as much as we can, all the negative predictions isn't going to help anyone, or improve fans morale.

You are referring to the origin of the name 'sone'?

It came about during their first album in 2007.

There was a track names 'honey', pronounced 'sowon.'

The name came from back then, not during genie era.
