No clue. She hasnt had any pics of her riding a bike or mentioned it so she may have learnt since then but we wouldn't be aware.

To do list for Tiffany in the future

-Learn how to ride a bike

-Create an Instragram account (No, stealing Taeyeon's phone does not count)

The thing is that, as fans, it doesn't hurt to have ideas that may or may not be feasible. At this point, does it hurt to wish for the best for SNSD's future?

At some point, SM's arrogance in its own brand and its own music image is going to bite them and they may realize that dismissing US/UK producers as "hard to work with" may be more of a self-reflective opinion than an actual perspective (given what dmn said is true ofc).

Well they broke up one of the most popular Idol groups ever (DBSK) and they are still making record profits. Jus sayin. SM may drive us crazy in a lot of different ways BUT they just keep on becoming more successful since HOT, SES days etc. Im sure SM feels they are more important then any one group and history cant argue with that. They have already rolled out SuJus replacement with EXO and I wouldnt be surprised to see their next new girl group before long.

oh, how i would love to see Sooyoung as a redhead...but i know it will never happen

 I think it looks really nice on her

Maybe it will be red for the comeback

SMJAPAN announced that an SM artist will be performing at Universal Studios Japan on Thursday 12th, connected to the launch of the SM Hologram Theater there. They didn't reveal which one yet, but it's gotta be either SNSD or SHINee.

SNSD have some other events in Japan scheduled, so maybe they'll be in Japan to promote the album the entire week

SNSD have recordings for TV show Live Monster on Tuesday 10th

SNSD have the event in Yokohama arena on Saturday 14th

But SHINee are also already in Japan for concerts on 10th and 11th so it could be them too.

Really excited for Live Monster. Do we know when their episode is supposed to air?

I think a lot of people don't get the 'fan' thing. As much as your idol has a career, from pre-debut to rookie to veteran to fading popularity to the 'end' where he or she will be hosting variety or fully into dramas that might happen every year or two, YOU, the fan, will have a career.

You start with, OMG everything my idol does is perfect and everything is perfect and love is the world. Then you start seeing things to make excuses for. OMG, the stylist HATES her! OMG, wtf is that costume? OMG, what is this music? THEY ARE RUINING MY FANDOM! OMG, what? The company won't let her be all that she can be??? OMG, the shippers are shit. OMG, why can't they train her to speak perfect English? EVERYTHING IS SHIT!!

And then by the end, you are a sad, sad, bitter little victim. o.O Is THAT what you want to get out of being a fan?

Realize that you're stanning someone from another country. Accept that. You're stanning someone who WORKS for a company. That company will make decisions, surprise, NOT IN A VACUUM. To YOU your idol is everything, but to the company, your idol is a property and if that company is smart, NOT the only property they own. And it IS an ownership of sorts. That contract they signed, and re-signed, means that decisions in her career don't include YOUR (the fan's) personal wishes and wants. That's reality.

So really, the only decision you get to make wholly in this experience is how bitter and burned out you'll be at the end of it.

If, as a fan, you're disappointed and resentful at THIS point of the girls' careers, careers that have been by any measure remarkable in k-pop, then may I submit that YOU (the fan) ARE DOING IT WRONG.

MTE.

We can only do so much for the girls. For me, just enjoy this son-of-a-gun ride.

And think about this: We have something to complain about every now and then because they're visible in our eyes while fans from other groups are waiting for something. And that "something" could be "everything" for those fans.

Oh so it's live? I got confused when people were saying it was a recording

I want to make a joke here about how its called Live Monster but I don't actually know if its recorded earlier in the day or whatever since it airs at 11:30.

And I just looked up the show and it airs on Sundays, so actually the 15th?

Too tired for this lol, is it actually confirmed they're going on the show?

Hmm I just went to their webpage and twitter and SNSD is not mentioned for recording on the 10th, instead its Teraoka Yohito?

Should have known. Well I'll still hope and maybe we'll be surprised :P Hopefully they'll do something during an hour where people are actually awake to see it

We'll find out in the early morning whether they actually appear on that other Japanese show that was mentioned they were going to go on since I can't find out how to confirm it.

sigh, we shouldn't have to check whether information about tv shows is accurate or not.

this

i think fans should realise that the girls (and SM) know what that good for them more than us, the girls can't be on this level of achievement if SM is stupid. There are so much pro-contra with what the girls do and release now, but in the end they prove they can achieve so much (remember when lot of SONE bitching about how bad IGAB and would be downfall of SNSD thanks for the stupidity SM, but in fact that song get a lot of recognition that more than expected). when i doubt something, they always prove me wrong with their achievement, So I better to enjoy and trust what direction that the girl take rather that i have to complains every single time (and act like i'm smarter than them).

whereas other girl groups is still struggle to achieve recognition that their deserve, and their fans can only wish their idol to to better, or even just wish to release something/get news from them. we are lucky because the girls can experiment on what they can do (eventough lot of backlash) and branch out from their comfort zone, which is i doubt any other company has guts to take risky route and just prefer basic safe song.

Hi Auratus. Fantastic post and I agree with everything you said 100%. Please post more often. I was confused about one thing though. You quoted me so were you agreeing with me or calling me the resentful fan? If its the later I think my post was viewed in the wrong light. There has been a lot of 2nd guessing SM lately in this thread and I was just throwing in my 2 cents that the girls are in good hands and that SM has created the majority of legendary Idol groups and will continue to do so in the future. (hence the quote in my post).

*sighs*

It is amusing how quickly any sort of actual dissent towards the direction of SNSD and SM's vision of the future (whether it be through snarky remarks, concise and intelligent ideas, or just simple banter) gets immediately shut down.

SM has some idea of what they are doing, made obvious by the fact that SNSD is probably the most successful idol group of all time. However, to pretend that SM knows exactly what they are doing 100% of the time and that all fans should immediately adhere to their whims just because is way too much .

I love SNSD to death but it is very fair for me (or others) to not be completely satisfied with the direction of the group. It's also very fair for said individuals to offer clever and well-thought out ideas for Soshi's future. That's not a bad thing. It's actually quite healthy and adds flavor to what can be a very monotonous time between comebacks and events.

I know some are content with "just going along with the ride" and trusting SM to know exactly what its doing. However, the fact that others want a different direction is not a bad thing

Very well said.

I hope the few people here who are bitter and upset and wants SM to do what YOU want and move the girls career in the direction YOU want, can wake up.

The last 20 pages had people writing whole text walls of how THEY want SM to collab or buy songs or hire composer and make MVs the way THEY want. How they want SM to produce music and MVs and all.

Its all in your head, castles in the air. You are just writing down the Ideal careers of how YOUR fav Idol should sing and make the kind of music YOU like and have a career YOU like. Might as well go play one of them Idol management simulation games.

You are not doing yourself, the fandom, and even the girls any good. All you do is get your hopes up, ( when SM has never even given you reason to hope for music like that ) , built more resentment and bitterness when things don't go the way you like.

Their is nothing wrong with wanting the best for your fav Idol, but if it reaches the point when you are bitter and actually unhappy and dislike what they are doing, then its time to step back and cool down. Reevaluate.

Are you a fan of what SNSD is actually doing now or have done before,

or are you a fan of what you think they should be doing to please you.

Don't live in your head. Live in Soshi's world.
