Sooyoung making Banana pudding?

Didn't she make some of that for Cho Sarang? I remember she was feeding sarang during the show. I want them to go on Superman returns again.

Its good that some of the girls are on holiday and overseas, too much drama now back in korea.

The magazine pages at so cute. But one thing, Taeyeon's and Tiffany's height are north 162? Bullshit.

But they are 162 cm...   :troll:   officially anyway. Plus the insoles... we can't take away danshin pride you know.  :hehe:

To get the free hype and promotion of course. Same reason why Seohyun was in the first few episodes of that drama.

Of course its good for the girls as well since they get experience and exposure.

but lets be honest, they are SNSD,

people in the industry like to name-drop or be associated with them just for attention. Putting SNSD Sunny in the name roster guarantees far more attention, even if she is only in 3 shows.

I will look at it positively, Sunny still gets to learn and improve her skills and forge connections through just the rehearsals and practice :)

and she will still get media coverage at press-con and interviews.

Plus, there might be a second run in the future, and she would be a easy first choice then, since she has prior experience and learned the script and all.

Maybe this time round, she was just too busy.  :._.:

Congratulations Yuri!

Despite the rather lousy dress ( curses to the stylists ) , actress Kwon is still gorgeous on the red carpet and exuding grace and loveliness while going on stage to receive the award.  :lub:

Hello sones. At this very minute I am clutching an IGAB Yoona version I found in a kpop store that's selling for twice as much as all thee album versions in here. I think if I put it down someone is gonna grab it. I'm just torn because I've had this album on my iPod since release, but I never bought a physical version, and I never imagined finding Yoona's. Anyone think it's worth the $30 even if she's not my bias? Anyone potentially willing to buy this from me if I end up not really wanting to keep it? (If buyer's remorse kicks in?) fast answers would be appreciated as I've spent too much time in this tiny place lmao.

If I was here earlier,  I would have told you to grab it for sure, but then again, I am an extremely biased Sone.

So did you buy it?

Think of it as a special buy for Yoona's birthday.. :)

sorry to sound butthurt but almost all of them updated for yoona's birthday but didn't do jack shit for sunny's (except taeyeon).....

Its ridiculous to judge their relationship from something like this. Based on SNS updates???  :wth:

Maybe they didn't have a big party for Sunny becos they were busy, maybe Sunny told them to not post any pics becos she didn't look her best that day. Maybe they had a pajamas party and could not show them raunchy pics?

Maybe they got drunk and took blurry photos, Maybe Sunny was busy preparing for her radio show debut and told the girls not to do anything.

There are so many possibilities ,

Yes, you sound very butthurt and for the wrong reasons I feel, and as a Sunshiner and Sone, I believe the girls. Maybe you should try too.

In real life, not everyone updates their SNS for everything, If you look back, some of the other members didn't do anything for the other's birthday too.

Yeah I filtered my timeline once again. I don't want to be a sheep to these people geez.

If this is how they react to Tiffany's relationship, what more with Jessica and Taeyeon?

Also, I honestly feel grateful to Khun's fandom because they have been supportive of their relationship and don't talk shit about Tiffany like our fandom does to Khun. This is one of those embarrassing days again.

Everyone need to learn to ignore and cut off these immature brats. There are some in every fandom.

And don;t be too quick to call out just shitty sones, becos I know of many Khun fangirls that went absolutely apeshit and wanted to do all kinds of nasty things to Tiffany.

By pointing fingers at one side , you aren't helping. You can't possibly know every fan on either side.  :wth:

So I suggest you not do this anymore. ok?

Why do I get a feeling that we are more likely to get a Chinese album than an English album from the girls...  now that the Jungsis show is rumoured to be filmed and aired in China and then the group is also rumoured to be filming a variety show there too.

Well, China has a gigantic untapped market, and SNSD already have a huge fanbase there, without having any chinese members or promote much in China. TaengSicYoong in particular have large amounts of chinese fans .

Yoona's drama has been shown in China since years ago.

International , English speaking Sones always talk of Soshi going west becos they see the english market as the next big thing to conquer.

But I can tell you, China has even bigger potential , and its easier to go promote there as Kpop and K-drama is big over there, not to mention ethnically, historically and language wise, Chinese and Koreans are closely related.

there will be none of the ' westerners looking at asian chicks and can't recognise who is who ' racist problem.

Sure, China has huge piracy problems, but if the girls are going to sell concerts and appearance fees and CF fees, music piracy isn't going to be a big problem, not to mention chinese SM fans are equally devoted when it comes to physical sales.

Its closer to korea too, so this makes China even more attractive than the west, especially with all the east-west barrier and music taste difference and all.

I know those that have seen me on the forum know me as more of a Yoona stan (which is obvious) but some of you may not know that Sunny is my second bias and I just... I wanted express my overwhelming happiness with the Sunny promotions that she's had this year.

I haven't been able to follow her recent DJing closely due to my studies but when I finish in two weeks, I'm going to watch everything I've missed. I love her so much and I was absolutely over the moon when I found out she became a permanent DJ on a radio show. I became a SONE in 2008 through Yoona's drama YAMD but the first member - excluding Yoona - to catch my eye was Sunny through her DJing for Chunji radio back in 2008. Back in the day it was much harder to find translations and it took a long time to translate/sub her radio show. Usually the more popular members Yoona, Taeyeon etc at the time had their appearances subbed/translated quicker. Most people used to tune into Taeyeon's radio gig Chinchin back in 2008, but me and a few others on Soshified and Soompi SNSD Thread used to follow Sunny's radio show religiously (we used to watch it live) and let me tell you, I loved her ever since. She's AMAZING at DJing - I think it's her voice when she speaks that gets me; so calming and warm. She's always fun to watch and even though she acts childishly cute, she's wiser than most people think. But yeah, even though I didn't understand a word (until subs/translations came out) I still enjoyed watching her. I really hope she gets to sing some covers on her radio show like she did with Chunji too.

Unfortunately, a good proportion of SONEs have never heard most of Sunny's covers on her old radio show. I fell in love with her voice during those days and she remains my favourite vocalists in SNSD tied with Seohyun. Sometimes it's not about technique with singing but with ones voice. And her voice is absolute candy to my ears. So rich, clear and beautiful. Her low notes are so sultry as well. I still have all the mp3 cuts of her singing on her old radio show on my ipod. She did several duets with Sungmin (who was her co-DJ). Like Grabber by KDR, A Wound Deeper than Love, Waiting, Miracle, Teahouse in the Winter, Hawaiian Couple(my fave). She also sang solo: Letter, Tell Me (SES Cover), Love Leaves Once Again, Lost in your eyes, Sk8r boi & First Love by Utada. (I literally just read off my Sunny playlist on my ipod lol) I also watched her DJ with Taeyeon when she joined Taeyeon's radio show, Chinchin, for six months back in 2009.

So yeah, I've been literally waiting years for her to have a DJ gig again on a radio show. :') Can't wait to watch her DJing at MBC FM4U when my exams are finished.

I'm so ecstatic that she's gotten other promotional activites too: a musical, a solo endorsement two months ago (Allo I think it's called? with Sarang) and did a voiceover for Rio 2.

Now I want a solo OST (Finally Now & The 2nd Drawer are still my ultimate faves) and a variety show for her  :ahmagah: my lovely Sunny :chu: forever fangirling over her.

b_9DF310AED84930205240527BD9A4EBD1.gif

oops, sorry for my essay. >.<

What I want is BoRa! one live broadcast where I can see her.

I seriously hope that 2014 is a year where Sunny and Yuri gets to shine. God knows how much I miss them , and I want them to catch up with the other members in popularity and exposure.

So far, Sunny seems to be having a great start, with her DJ work getting attention and now her Musical performance too.

I hope maybe another variety show like Invincible Youth can have them casted and boost their popularity more.

I think by now, most Sones ( except the small minority of crazy immature ones ) would know or expect SNSD to be dating, or have dated in the last few years.

I mean, they are all close to their mid-twenties, it will be sad and weird if they don't even want or tried to date.

After Yoona, then Sooyoung and Hyoyeon and Tiffany , I believe the fandom has matured and grown wiser. Our girls are no longer young teenagers. They are now mature young ladies who need some love in their lives, I definitely don't want them to be old spinsters.

The fans and public should have no problems with Taeyeon and the other girls dating,

The shock is more becos of who she is dating.

well, I personally don't expect any fallout or problems for SNSD/Taeyeon. ( other than crazy exo fangirls bitching )

He has more to lose, considering EXO's current position and type of fans. But that is for another thread.

As long as Taengoo is happy , I am happy. But do they really get to spend much time meeting, I wonder?  :)

I bet many fanboys are secretly harboring some plans seeing as how both Lee Seung Gi and Baekhyun got their girls after declaring them as their Ideal type. Start a career in korea as an artiste, then declare a SNSD members as your Ideal type........

The bottom line is that if you were gullible enough to actually think that Taeyeon ONLY posted for her fans and not for 1. her own fucking amusement 2. pure boredom 3. PR and 4. her hubby, then I have a screen door for a submarine to sell you.

Regardless of the "original intent" (hogwash, mind you), it's still her IG and she can post however she wants whenever she wants. It's not like it's a written contract.

*applause

Good summary of the whole situation.

I bet lotsa 'fans' are buying that submarine door.

How can anyone believe that every single post in her IG is meant exclusively for fans is totally beyond me. Plus, she is super busy, if she happens to use it to communicate with her boyfriend, whats the big deal?

Again, we are reminded that Kpop still has many immature, throw-common-sense-out-of-the-window-when-it-comes-to-their-Idols , obsessed fans.

If I could, I wish I can give a good slap to all those kids who think they have been betrayed. Wake up !

As far as I am concerned, taeyeon has already apologised.

She has already explained that her IG posts were not meant as secret communications to her boyfriend , neither were they mocking the fans.

For me , that is more than enough, she should not even have to explain such things.

If some fans can't even take her word for something, and continue to feel that way even after she has clarified the situation.............. then I just honestly feel sorry for these 'fans'.

Simply becos they are setting themselves up for disappointment.

No celeb or Idol is going to put all their fans as top priority 100% of the time. They have lives and family and friends, and there will come a time when family, or relationships comes before the fans.

These so called 'fans' expect their Idols to put them first, well, yeah, they are simply expecting too much form the Idol.

I am not going to continue on this pointless topic. This whole issue is simple

Obsessed fans expect more than is logical or possible for their Idols, they have unrealistic expectations, and it has nothing to do with Taeyeon's intentions or IG posts. They just expect her to devote one aspect of her life completely to pleasing the fans.

Thats not possible or even logical.

Even if a few of her IG posts were meant for her boyfriend, it does not change the fact that the remaining hundreds of post were for communication with the fans.

And she has said the posts had no other intention.

Why call yourself a fan if you won't even believe what she says?

Gawd, so many over-dramatic people here.

yes, some of Taeyeon's fans are upset over her IG posts.

but some of you people here are describing the situation as a catastrophe or a huge disaster. Saying they lost public support and lotsa fans.

Calm down, you think the public pays attention to Taeyeon's IG posts? You think the public is obsessed and behaves like the Taeyeon fans who are upset?

No, its just some fans. Don't make it out as if the whole of Kpop is turning on Soshi. The other girls are hardly affected. And only some Taeyeon's fans are angry.

the rest of Korea is probably thinking ;' Oh another Soshi member dating? They sure are growing up fast hehe. lucky guy , managed to catch one of the most eligible girls in korea!'

Its just a dating scandal, coupled with some childish fan behaviour. the rest of korea and the general Kpop fans is hardly going to bother. Only Haters and Exotics and Sones are interested in this whole situation.

Its not about drugs, or drink-&-drive , or some bullying scandal.

Calm down and stop all the false alarms and pointless worrying.

Gezz are you sure?? Now you're talking like as if SNSD is just like any other girl group, and not the NATION GG.

Ok maybe there're still lots of people like them but who going to bother bulk buy or buying lots of their merch and album (physically) if not SONES? and Why do you think SM still keeping them??

lately snsd biggest power is sones

The public pay attention to them, but only during promotions and activities, they hardly follow Taeyeon's IG or SNSD's daily updates. Most rational adults and general Soshi supporter is not going to feel betrayed or upset. They aren't as invested as Sones are.

To them , its just another SNSD member dating.

Again, not all Sones are angry, just some Taeyeon stans. Give them time to cool down and some will likely calm down and come back to support Taeyeon.

SNSD is still going to maintain their majority of fans, and public support.

Lest be logical here people, most people aren't going to be interested about interactions between and Idol and fans. Taeyeon did not commit some crime or killed anyone or did something morally/legally wrong. the public isn't going to feel upset or betrayed becos they are not completely focused on Taeyeon like Sones are, so why would they suddenly dislike SNSD or Taeyeon?

A rational adult person won't think Taeyeon is doing anything wrong sending messages to her boyfriend through her IG.

I am sure there are also plenty of logical , cool-headed and non-obsessed K-Sones who are not upset at all.  Don't start thinking like ALL K-sone are feeling the same way.

I'm refering to the Best album (but I always forgot the name of the album :hurr: )

If its their best japan album, then its all old songs, only 'Indestructible' is a new song, and there seems to be no MV.

The album has lotsa goodies though, the complete blu-ray and limited edition has lotsa unseen footage and MVs and interviews and concert footage. You gotta buy it to see it, so I doubt UMJ will release anything for free.

Someone might upload the contents once its out, but I am buying the limited edition, no patience to wait and I got the money.

I feel like posting the same. I am always here. Hopefully most fans will be the same and not desert them when they need us the most.

All this is doing for me is just revealing how sick and twisted idol culture is. I've been in for 3 years now and thought I had it figured out. Obviously, I didn't quite get how bad it was. It's all revealing and, for the first time, makes me start to question if I want to stay in it.

You are part of the international fandom, not the Korean fandom. Fan culture is vastly different between the two, as we all figured out by now. Stay with us , not with them.

When you find something wrong with a group of people, be it a fanclub, a bunch of friends, a company, a political group etc etc...............there are 2 alternatives,

leave and make no difference, and possibly see them get worse

or stay and try and change it for the better.

Like if you see a bunch of your friends making questionable decisions or doing stupid things, will you leave them or try and change them for the better?

That is how we as human being, become better and improve, by changing others around us, and in effect, change ourselves for the better.

Events in the fandom the last one day and all the comments and exchanges in the last dozen pages have all let us understand more and know more about Korean fan culture and made us understand more about the fans here as well.

we learn more, we understand more, and that leads to changes.

You and I and all the other here have made changes and therefore , made a difference in the fandom.

So please stay and continue to make a difference.  :)

It seems like some of you people here has gone off the deep end. Like seriously.

If it was a loved one, someone close to me, like family or a close friend, and he/she hurt me by say , lying about something important, or doing something deliberate to attack me, yeah, I would feel hurt or betrayed or upset.

But an Idol who is tens of thousands of miles away, whom I have only saw in person from 50 feet away, whom I have never spoke to before, who does not even know who I am or what is my name...

How can she abuse you or betray you?  if you really feel like this, man, then the problem is with you , not Taeyeon or other fans.

In any case, it will blow over eventually, she didn't commit a crime. Except for the obsessed and fanatically devoted fans, there is no need to feel like the world is ending. As the girls grow older, they will begin to deviate more and more from the 'pre-fabricated Idol-image' and show more and more of themselves.

Such incidents will happen more often and fans will slowly understand that they are just fixated upon the fantasy image that they place on SNSD. As the girls mature and slowly shed their Idol image and show their grown-up side, these fans will have to accept that. The immature obsessed fans will be filtered out and things will move on as the girls find new fans who can accept this new SNSD and not the old, 'Idol-SNSD'.

of course, there is no denying that having many obsessed fans who will go to great lengths to do crazy, outrageous things for their Idols has helped SNSD in their early careers. The fans do so much and buy so much and show up everywhere to support SNSD. Their loss will be felt.

BUT, its a double-edged sword that will cut the owner, once SNSD deviates from what these fans want from SNSD, these fans will turn around.

This was bound to happen sooner or later, no Idol or celeb can live forever in a fantasy image just solely to cater to some fans. Eventually, these fans will realise that their idol won't always put the fans as top priority, and when the Idol starts dating, gets married etc the illusion will shatter completely

What will happen is, some of these fans will leave.

those that stay are those who can accept this side of Taeyeon.

the casual fans and public will not be affected much, since they won't feel betrayed cos they are not so focused and fanatical like Sones. These people are just interested in what SNSD can bring to them in entertainment. So as long as Soshi has good songs or good dramas etc, they will continue to show support.

SNSD will take a hit, a bigger hit than when the other girls were revealed to be dating. But they and the fandom will survive. the drama is mostly within the fandom, its not like she has killed someone or took drugs or committed a crime. Nobody will condemn her, at most they will say ' she should be more careful and considerate'.

As far as I am concerned, SNSD never promised me anything or swore they will always put us fans as top priority . So I don't feel abused or betrayed.

In fact, I feel I owe them more.

Taeyeon and SNSD has brought me years of fun and laughter and joy, I was entertained by their singing, dancing, acting, variety, gags, jokes, antics, radio show etc etc. I had fun listening and dancing to their songs, I spent many enjoyable hours laughing as I watched their shows, I had tears streaming down my face as I watch Yoona and Sooyoung's drama, I was touched by TaengSic's emotional singing.

These nine dorky, crazy , adorable and lovely young ladies has given me wonderful memories and countless hours of fun and relaxation.

How can I ever feel hurt or disappointed at them?

They have given me far more than I have ever given them. I give them my money, but they give me joy, something which money cannot really buy. I feel blessed to have known and love SNSD.

I feel like eating an Oreo right now, becos Taeyeon had some of the most delicious looking Oreos on her instagram.
