I LOOOOVE this whole concept. They all so pretty but at the same time it's very creepy lol. I mean pretty girls operating on guys, on a weirdly/trippy coloured room while being filmed on CCTV (and Sunny staring into my soul........my silicon soul ) is damn creepy to me

 

Could the timings on the CCTV output be clues? The earliest chronologically is Taeyeon, could she be first? Or something else? Back in IGAB, Hyoyeon's watch had the exact time of release so it wouldn't be something the first time.

Taeyeon sounds soooo good. The song style may not be to everyone's taste (veery slow) but damn her voice is angelic/ethereal/elegant. The song sounds very dreamy, romantic even, its the type of song you listen to to just chill. Love it!!

This is fucking bullshit!

 

I have a Gameboy thats 10+ years old. Its fallen in water, taken big falls, slightly corroded by a leaking battery and I've even dismantled it and put it back together many times - yet it still functions perfectly without any problem. How in all that is that is holy can SM have a complete technical disaster without lots of contingency plans and precautions put in place to prevent such a thing in this day and age?!?!

Anyway, I only found out about the song an hour or so but 1h has been screwing m up by either not working outright or being slow as hell (and ofc the expected bitching on the forums ). I STILL haven’t listened to it yet Im tryyiong to pluck up the courage to listen to it but for some reason i'm holding back....whats wrong with meeee????

Seriously really awesome!! The verses could had a bit more .....ooomph? But the chorus is great. From teh dance break onwards /DEAD. The second half is pure eargasm! The MV needs to come out now!!!!

 

Ive listened to the others and I love them too. Goodbye, wait a minute, back hug and Soul are excellent. Its a very SOLID album, maybe their best mini?? Very possibly could be

I've had the whole mini on repeat - not a single song I would skip Top quality.

 

 

And I see the bandwagoning against Taeyeon and Tiffany has already started elsewhere and is bleeding through the time cracks into this thread

 

Al I'm gonna say is that I love MR MR and at the end of the day that's all I care about.

 

BTW anyone else agree that Hyoyeon was the surprise of the album? All her lines are perfect - I've always liked her voice (one of my faves in SNSD) and this proved that she can slay if she gets a song that suits her voice.

I'm kinda surprised by some reactions to the title track so far lol

I really like club jam tracks and this song is perfect

It's something I can just chill or jam too and that dirty bass at the beginning too <3

I do understand those that were expecting something a bit more energetic and hype but it doesn't mean the song isn't a strong track on it own. I guess I'm a wee bias because I do like this sound lol.

Since i proved my psychic powah is off the scale this is how I predict things will go down next time (not necessarily referring to any particular set of people BTW)

 

IGAB: it's too chaotic. Next song better be more normal.

 

MR MR: it's too normal, where is the extra pizazz?

 

Next song: this song is not normal enough and not crazy enough. That's it I'm done with them.

Guys I just had a potentially scary thought.....what if - now here me out - SM orchestrated the "leak.

 

Put down your tomatoes aimed at me and think about it, a certain other label has been media playing/leeching like a machine and its group is coming back officially very soon, what if SM wanted to stop their hype dead in its tracks? And it's not like the constant leaks for Exo's Wolf had any real negative effect on them, arguably it increased interest in them, even reaching top 5 digitally. SNSD being SNSD would get TONS of media exposure from reviewers/journos/SNS/hype etc from the leak alone, imagine the eruption when it goes out for real.

 

We all know how sometimes SM can pull off some genius moves and this could actually be one of them.

Lol I was listening to Soul and after like 20 times or something i FINALLY realised Fany's rap is in Korean I kept thinking it was it was English like the Chinese version. Come to think of it Soul could've been a very good title track too but its not fresh due to it already being used to that Chinese game.

 

SM should do an aggressive double track promo - Mr Mr is the actual title but with Soul as the back up which receives equal/slightly less promo (last time IGAB was extremely full on with nothing that close to it in terms of energy, other songs were very contrasting and it was kinda odd looking when they sang DQ in their IGAB clothes ). Think about it, both songs are high energy and kinda compleiment together, Soul has an "Eastern" feeling while Mr Mr has more a "Western" feeling.

Lol there's still an anti-Fany thing going on? Seriously? Taeyeon has a high note straight after and even Jessica does her mighty ad-libs near the end, so why all the focus on Fany for what is essentially the sum of 2/3 seconds?? I swear no matter how clever I am there are some things that will never make sense to me

 

Oh here's a great tip, play Mr Mr through a hifi set with good subwoofers or car speakers (like i did) - there's very beastly things going on there under the vocals. Sounds really sweeeeet if you listen that, especially when the killer break comes along (there’s even a cool electric guitar shit going on which i didn’t notice listening through normal headphones) .

 

I REALLY wanna see the dance, I just know its gonna be all kinds of awesome. Like IGAB, if I see a solid dance, it could send this fan boy over the edge

Agreed.The song sounds so much better when played through some good speakers and subwoofers. I played around with my equalizer to make the bass more bass-ier?...and the song sounds amazing. 

 

I know right! Its almost like a different song so much more....power? I dunno how to really describe it but yeah having more bass really helps.

 

Also try IGAB with similar settings. The way bass/synth vibrations keep switching and then combining at the end sounds amazing!

It kind of gives you the full experience of the song. You hear more than just the lyrics and more of the instrumentals behind it. It's those little things in a song that make you appreciate it more. I sometimes find myself completely ignoring the singing and just listening to the instrumentals and sound effects behind a song.

 

IGAB definitely sounds like such a powerful song when I applied those settings. 

 

Yes YES!! You hit the nail on the head - you get more of an experience other than just "ermagawd dah voculss". I'm far from an audiophile but with songs like IGAB or Mr Mr that have many things going in the background, especailly as its swritches up from time to time, you miss out if you don’t have a decent set up.

 

I dunno if you've seen but it'd be like watching the movie Gravity (my fave movie of 2013 BTW ) in 2D rather than the full splendour of 3D (or imax 3D in my case ). One's good, the other is just that much better.

Is that 100% legit?? Cos i've been burned too many times with people reporting their comeback only for it to be eitehr incorrect or delayed. Has SM themsleves confirmed?

 

And if its true......Fffffffffuuuuuuu.....thats early morning for me......I eitehr risk staying up (and possibly having my dreasm crushed) or I go to sleep and risk getting up late like with IGAB
