Remember, 'people' have said a lot of things about SNSD over the years. Even before Soshi debuted, 'people' said they would fail, nine members was too many, they won't succeed blah blah blah....

If everything these 'people' said came true, Soshi would have disbanded long ago.

 

But SNSD always proved 'people' wrong, by becoming better, more successful, more loved and recognised.

 

Why are Sones even paying attention to what these 'people' say? 

 

Soshi are dating and breaking up, its normal life, Yes, its juicy gossip for bystanders, but not damaging scandals. 

 

We should be paying attention to our girls. We are SOWON, we are their wish, and right now, SNSD wish to be in a happy relationship and wish for our support, and Hyoyeon needs strength from us.

We should be focusing on our girls, and not looking at insignificant 'predictions' by amateur fortune-telling 'people'.

You shouldn't quote from tumblr either, I mean, its tumblr, its just as bad as twitter. People write all sorts of irresponsible things and its how stupid rumours that causes panic and upsets fans start from and spread around.

Be wise and don't quote such things, its not news, its not any official statement from any authority. Anyone can say anything and if people just start quoting , it spreads, and eventually, no way to trace the source and its accuracy.

 

I mean, just look at the quote, it can be started by anyone and there is hardly anyway to now if its even real.

which Knetiz from which website? and what article?  Where is the issue on twitter? And can Sooyoung actually make any decision on what to report on a Tv show? Did anyone ask Sooyoung and she choose not to talk? Is it on record? 

 

Maybe you are curious, but that is exactly what rumour spreaders want you to do. taking the bait and ask and spread it. Even if you mean to just ask if its true, it still spreads, and how can anyone even answer you, right?

snsd have the biggest  intfansite as  soshified and have 3214314 more fansite,yet there is not a engsub for a freakin episode which have been out for weeks

,,a years back  evry snsd words on a program used to get subbed in some hours,,,i see after all the dating mess,sones lost the spirit

the fandom is  not the same as it used to be

Please be more patient

Subbers have their own things to do as well, their own lives to lead. And many subbers have been doing it for a long time, they are older now, and probably have more things like more studies and maybe even working a job now.

We cannot always put the pressure and blame on fansites and subbers.

new fans gotta take up the slack as older fans become busier with their lives. If anyone can help with subs then volunteer. If you can't , then be patient. Subbers are doing it for free becos they love Soshi, they aren't getting a salary.

If I were a subber and this is what I get for putting effort and personal time to do subs...

no wonder all the subbers are slowing down and even stopping. Hard work is being taken for granted. Sucks to be a subber. Slow down and take time off and fans say you lose the spirit or don't like SNSD anymore.

 

An active fandom needs effort and support from everyone. New fans cannot just join in and expect the previous people to do all the work.

if you can. help out SSF or other fansites. As time goes by, older fans become less active, (and some do leave the fandom ) new fans need to pick up the slack.

I cannot believe what I am reading here from someone. So if some of the girls get caught going on dates, it means they don't care about their career and their fans? 

it means SM don't care about their Idols if they let SNSD go on dates?

Seriously? Really? Do you really think you own SNSD? As fans , you can demand they don't go on dates or have some personal life activities,? 

Understand this, SNSD is one of the biggest celebs in Korea, reporters  will follow SNSD everyday until the day they retire or quit , and maybe even then the reporters will still follow them.

You expect them to give up on dating and having a normal relationship? Becos reporters will never stop following them to try and get scoops. So either SNSD tries to have relationships while trying their best to not let it become news, or they remain single and old spinsters, becos if they date and get caught, then it means they don''t care?

So if this comeback is not as good as fans expect , it becomes wrong for SNSD to date? You gonna blame SM/SNSD for dating and getting caught, becos you aren't satisfied with the results of this promotion?

If its not wrong to go on dates, then eventually, they will get found, its nothing to do with SNSD or SM not caring. Dating should not be a scandal. If some fans leave becos SNSD is dating, then its bound to happen anyway. We cannot let losing fans be a reason for the girls to never have normal lives.

Even if they don't get caught dating, eventually, they want to get married, then what? hide the marriage too? then kids? 

 

As fans, we cannot ask for the impossible, we also cannot ask the girls to make such sacrifices just to please fans forever.

Know the rules of the game, as SNSD grow older, they will lose some fans, fans who stan them for their youth and eligible, single-attractive status. 

For that particular Sone here who is unhappy about fans leaving becos SNSD is caught dating... NEWS FLASH., it happens to every single artist world-wide who starts young.

As for the other Idols who are dating and not caught yet, you think they can hide forever? The loss of fans will eventually happen when they get caught later, or get married. 

 

We should accept the loss, SM and SNSD know they can't hide forever, My assumption is, SNSD is in such a stable position, they can slowly transit from Idols to serious artists, 

Losing the younger, possessive and delulu fans is a matter of time, its time for SNSD to take the loss, and progress further along their careers. Fans will also mature and wisen and slowly accept that SNSD are adults, the public will also slowly accept that.

 

SNSD has mentioned that they want to date, get married and have kids, dropped many hints that they are dating already. Maybe getting caught by the media sped up the decision. It does not matter anymore.

 

Our girls are ready to take a step, and bear the pain of losing some fans, are we fans ready to take that step with them and accept it? 

As our Idols grow and become wiser, the fans and the fandom need to grow and learn as well. Change and loss is part of growing up.

 

Then, we can look forward to a stronger, maturer, and less restricted SNSD, no longer tied down by the fear of losing their delulu, possessive young fans like most idols do, becos they have a wider appeal to the public and have fans who have gone through baptism by fire; a fandom that accepts SNSD as young ladies who have partners and eventually a family. 

Let this next few months and years be a time to weed out the fans who believe SNSD 'belongs' to them and get pissed off becos SNSD is dating. 

 

the girls have reach a turning point in their career, they cannot remain Idols anymore. They always mention they want to be like Shinhwa, to go on for as long as they can as SNSD. but they also need their freedom and personal lives.

Fans will have to accept that , don't we want the girls to be happy?

Or do we want them to be like many male Idols? who can almost certainly never reveal they are dating, becos 95% of their fans are fangirls who will go crazy should their Oppas be dating. 

And when they finally get caught or really wanna get married, their career take a dive becos they always relied on fangirls and never made the transition and let their fans grow up with them. I pity some of these male Idols.

 

I feel Soshi is at a strong position, they can afford to lose a portion of fans, and make the transition away from Idols who feed a fantasy to fans. they will gain more fans as their spread their wings.

 

I personally am happy, yes I am worried, but still more happy than worried.

I worry becos I care for them now, but I am more happy becos I care for their future.

jung sis subunit is a fuckin waste ,,,its better with just an snsd sub unit o snsd comeback and fx separate comeback this year ,the jungsis will only result to further  delay of snsd comeback 

 

Thats just an incredibly dumb and simple way of thinking, Soshi just finished a new mini album and promotion period, they are not going to have another comeback anytime soon. Now in the middle of their concert tour, solo/subunit project are the only way for any of the members to shine on their own.

I welcome this, its just like Sooyoung/Yuri/Yoona doing drama/movie acting and Hyoyeon/Sunny doing Invincible youth and Sunny/Seohyun doing musicals. Its a good time for Jessica to do this and earn some additional money and fans. 

And I hope the other girls all get drama offers and other chances to do variety/musicals/acting/solo CFs too.

And maybe Yoona/Seohyun can catch up on their university studies too.

I'm new here, I'm really looking for people who loves SNSD as well, then I found this thead/forum and I think I can't beat your love for k-pop esp. to snsd, I just started liking them a month ago so I have a long way to catch up on stuffs about snsd. 

 

Hmm, oh I remember I have questions maybe fans can answer since I'm just a new fan of SNSD:

 

1. Is it true that Jessica and Taeyeon are not in good terms? when/why/how? I've read it somewhere.

 

2. How come they don't have the same length of contract? 

 

3. Does SM town really give rankings on the members? 

 

4. Do you think SNSD will disband, soon? *this is just my theory though since their getting closer to their late 20's* I hope not! 

 

5. Which member is closest to my bias Sooyoung and Seoyhun? ^^ Love JeTi too. 

 

1. That is just fans who like to over-dramatise things, maybe they are not super close and loving, but they still get along and perform and practise and work as a group fine. Will you believe me if I say they are super close behind-the-scenes?

 

2. How you know they don't ? SM has never revealed the details of their contract, and contracts can be renegotiated at anytime. Even if its true, that how things are in the industry. They sign at different time anyway.

 

3. I never saw any official 'ranking', so I don't even know where you even thought of that question.

 

4. Nothing is forever, they will last as long as they are willing to , until they have different priorities in life.

 

5. No one knows, not even the girls themselves I think. I mean, who goes around measuring how close they are to their friends and family and compare such things? fans who do that just have too much time on their hands

Ok, lets get it straight once and for all. I know the definition of DJ, Disk Jockey.

 

Wikipedia : There are several types of disc jockey. Radio DJs or radio personalities introduce and play music that is broadcast on AM, FM, shortwave, digital or internet radio stations. Club DJs select and play music in bars, nightclubs or discothèques, or at parties or raves, or even in stadiums. Mobile DJs travel with portable sound systems and play recorded music at a variety of events. 

 

Merriam webster dictionary : disc jockey

noun

: a person who plays popular recorded music on the radio or at a party or nightclub

 

Oxford dictionary :  noun  

 (plural DJs)

 A person who introduces and plays recorded popular music on radio.

 

 

The article mentioned : MBC FM4U revealed, "Starting from May 12th, Sunny will be the new DJ for 'FM Date'. It'll be a program that will give warm comfort during the afternoon peak hours."

 

So unless you think FM Date is a club, or, you think Sunny has mixed and played music for a live audience.. why would you or anyone else think she is going to be mixing music??

 

You are correct , a DJ means Disk Jockey, but that is the direct meaning, it also means the DJ for a radio broadcast, and I dont think a standard DJ on FM radio mixes music. Its all talk and interviews and playing pop songs or whatever music the DJ likes or is suitable for the segment.

Maybe you should go listen to Sunny's old Chunji Radio segments to understand what I mean.

Yes, we have the right to post whatever we want here, so long as its Soshi-related. But, we should all know that there are some very over-sensitive fans here. 

I must say, when I saw that Gif and the comment, my first reaction was...... I was a tad annoyed.

Yes, it was meant to be funny, a funny Gif.

 

But I could immediately see the possibility of some fans getting upset and some antis using it to throw shade even.

 

I hope some user here can be a bit more careful and wise in posting. Some fans here are really young and therefore, immature and tend to over-react. A lot of drama can be avoided if we are all more careful about what we post.

 

As for the always overreacting, ultra-sensitive Puresica, I advise you to coll down and learn to be less paranoid.

Just listened to one hour of Sun DJ, pure eargasm and bliss! 

Many Idols and celebs send in their well-wishes and congratulations, including Park MyungSoo, Bae Chulsoo ( Sunny's father's old friend and one of the most influential and longest DJ in korea ), who left messages and Jung Hyungdon who called in. 

And Sunny has this short tune for her own show. XD

 

And the first song she played was 'Kissing You'.
