it's almost 3am right now and I can't sleep. The hype is too real. Soul and Mr Mr slayed me so hard. Very solid release from SNSD. The dance break during live promotions is gonna be sick. I can already tell the dance line is going to kill it.

So realistically , how do you think the girls will fare in this comeback? Including competition, charts , general public,bandwagons etc 

In my honest opinion I think they're going to be fine. This song is a lot more public friendly than IGAB and I think people will like it a lot more. The casual listener might be willing to actually buy the song. This leak will probably have some effect on their digital sales, but I don't think it should be something that drastic. Most Sones will purchase the album anyways. I think SM should release the album + MV as soon as possible just to be safe though. 

 

That's just my 2 cents though. I'm thoroughly enjoying this album though. I've had Mr.Mr. on repeat for a while. I hope everyone else is enjoying it as well

How do you guys think Korea/Netz will react to Mr.Mr.? 

I think they're going to like it. This song is more casual friendly and doesn't try to do too much like IGAB/The Boys.

Lol there's still an anti-Fany thing going on? Seriously? Taeyeon has a high note straight after and even Jessica does her mighty ad-libs near the end, so why all the focus on Fany for what is essentially the sum of 2/3 seconds?? I swear no matter how clever I am there are some things that will never make sense to me

 

Oh here's a great tip, play Mr Mr through a hifi set with good subwoofers or car speakers (like i did) - there's very beastly things going on there under the vocals. Sounds really sweeeeet if you listen that, especially when the killer break comes along (there’s even a cool electric guitar shit going on which i didn’t notice listening through normal headphones) .

Agreed.The song sounds so much better when played through some good speakers and subwoofers. I played around with my equalizer to make the bass more bass-ier?...and the song sounds amazing.

I know right! Its almost like a different song so much more....power? I dunno how to really describe it but yeah having more bass really helps.

 

Also try IGAB with similar settings. The way bass/synth vibrations keep switching and then combining at the end sounds amazing!

It kind of gives you the full experience of the song. You hear more than just the lyrics and more of the instrumentals behind it. It's those little things in a song that make you appreciate it more. I sometimes find myself completely ignoring the singing and just listening to the instrumentals and sound effects behind a song.

 

IGAB definitely sounds like such a powerful song when I applied those settings.

Yeah i really want a photo card with this album ;-; . Maybe they'll give us 9 different member version like they did for IGAB. I wouldn't mind that at all actually.

that would be cool but also a difficult choice. taeyeon is my bias but if someone else's looks really good i'll be torn. i also like having pictures of everyone too. it'd be a tough choice. with photo cards it's random so it's just me hoping for certain ones instead of hemming and hawing over choices.

I really liked the randomness too. It saved me the trouble of trying to pick one for myself if I had the choice. I would choose Tiffany in a heartbeat but if any of the other members had a good cover I would want to get it too. I think my wallet would cry

It was posted somewhere in this thread but the MV MIGHT be released at around the same time too. Something about a "surprise" MV or something.

Music is subjective and there will always be people that don't like a song. Plus antis. All that matters anyways is that you enjoy it I've been obsessed with it too. I have at least over 30 plays on it already.

I'm sick of the negativity on this forum every time SNSD makes a comeback.. It's draining :-/

 

I really hope we get the Mr.Mr MV tomorrow since they were suppose to release it this time last week.

Not just this forum but pretty much every where. People have such unrealistic expectations for these girls. Everyone is stuck in the past of their glory days that they forget to see how much they and their music have matured. They've already proven that they're the undisputed #1 girl group. What more do they have to prove? Sure their music isn't the same as it was back then but that doesn't mean it's bad. If anything this album has really shown that these girls have talent and can sing. All that's left is for the MV to come out to show off their choreography.

 

You can dislike a song without putting down the group and their fans.

This is translated news but apparently on the 26th Taeyeon, Yuri, Jessica, Sunny, and Tiffany are recording Radio Star.

It is expected to be in early March broadcast date.

Mr.Mr is dropping fast.

SM needs to release the mv to keep the interest going .. 

It unlikely we can remain top 5 after 2ne1 release their songs(because of many reasons) but that doesn't Mr Mr cannot regain their top 5 position after a week or so.

Either way, lets brace ourselves for threads like 2ne1 won SNSD ,blablabla ....

 

it was obvious from the start YG wanted to release it after SNSD bcs everone knows when song is just releases from a popular group it will top charts.

And then bj and YG will be like we did better than SNSD

I normally wouldn't care but YG declaring girl group war really created the hype and made a big deal out of nothing really. Then again there will always be fan wars regardless.

Those "teasers" though Of course Fany would offer the pink track shorts to Yoona. SNSD reality show please? Maybe this was the surprise SM was talkinga bout.

 

I just wonder what SM is doing. The timing of these "teasers" just seem a little too perfect? Especially with the release of TVXQ's new song I feel like SM is trying to distract people from you know who.

I feel like they have some master plan too. Everything just seems too out of place and it's hard to believe SM doesn't know what they're doing with SNSD. I mean come on..it's SNSD They did say this album is all about mystery and what not. Didn't they say there will also be a surprise in addition to the MV? 

 

In SM and LSM we trust. Something is fishy and I feel like something big is going to happen.
