Dunno but man, I have my fair share of complaints in regards to fandom crazy, but it ultimately is what makes it such a vibrant thing at the end of the day.

LOL The feels get out of control where GG is concerned. I'm an adult and had my own share of fangirling growing up (from Spice Girls, Britney, Destiny's Child, etc.) but none can match my love for GG.

I don't have money for a social life and then people don't even appreciate the items I've spent so much money on

 

I don't like to socialize IRL. I really find it uncomfortable and awkward, especially parties. I do hangout with some close friends SOMETIMES, and they are all aware of my SNSD obsession; my family knows it too, and, fortunately, they never once questioned my sanity or complain about my endless spazzing.

I am alright at socializing with my close friends but it when it comes to just like other people it never ends well. Some people say to me "one day your going to realize that you wasted a lot of time on snsd, a lot of time you could have used doing other things" lies i regret nothing my family walks into my room and they practically see the big picture, my parents make fun of me sometimes if they want to, cause they think i am strange i don't even care.

 

 

LoL But yeah, people will always have those kinds of opinion. As a SONE, I don't think I'm wasting my time on something that gives me so much happiness. But I do try to find the balance and not let my fan-self affect some other necessary things.

TL;DR.

 

Just to share my own thoughts regarding being a SONE. I can only speak for myself and I completely understand that my views on being an SNSD fan is NOT shared by majority. I did not consider myself a SONE or a fan of the group until I became a fan of EACH member, which, for me, was not all that hard. I was first a fan of their music but, for me, it was not enough to include myself in the fandom. What I perceive as the bond that exists between them as friends is one of the things I came to adore, but more like an added bonus; even without it, I'm sure I would still be in the fandom wholeheartedly supporting the girls.

 

I am a fan of the group, of each member, and their music. It doesn't matter to me whether they are best friends or not, but it does make me feel good to see that they seem to be in good terms with one another. I personally believe most of them are friends, but to what extent, that's what I am not aware of.

 

As for the negativities thrown towards the group, individual members, their music, and the fandom, some stuff can be easily ignored especially when "hating" and/or "trolling" is apparent. However, quite a number of SNSD fans have proven time and time again to be too sensitive and feel the need to bite every bait and be just as rude, if not worse.

 

The worst thing is there are even SONEs who go after each other's neck just to prove each other wrong. I'm not saying that we have to agree on everything because we follow the same group, what I want to say is, we are all aware of what it feels like to be fans of an intensely hated and criticized group of people and for some of us to do the same thing strikes me as a pathetic and downright immature move--the same thing goes to overly praising and turning a blind eye  to the girls' flaws. 

 

A lot of us here don't even know how to distinguish "hating" and "criticizing". Yes we all have the right to have our own opinions, but not every thought we have needs to be shared, and when we do, some would disagree not only because they believe otherwise but also because how we state our thoughts. I am very much aware that there are rude people and I don't expect them to change, and that this is the Internet and a forum filled with kids, but it doesn't hurt to try to be level-headed and have some iota of respect especially when dealing with topics that are "subjective"--there is no need to argue on this, tbh. This may be the cyberworld but the users you interact here with are real people with their own mindsets.

 

Stanning, shipping, etc. are all good and supposed to be fun and more fun when done with other people. But at the end of the day, the only thing we have about these girls are whatever we get on the Internet. What I don't think is fair is the mindless repetition of "Oh their bond is real you're dumb to not believe it" and "I hate this and this member because"  and try to shove it down everyone's thoughts whenever there's a chance to do so. You can choose to love all members or not, support them or not, believe in OT9 or not, that's your choice, please let others have and enjoy theirs.
