this happens everytime snsd has a comeback is nothing new, a lot of people called IGAB a flop when in reality it was far from it. you get used to it tbh, since it always happens

 

I think IGAB was more of people not understanding it. It was really fragmented and like 3 different songs, even though I like it. Though maybe that was bc of the MV. Anyways, Mr.Mr. is just kindof a song. There's nothing to really "get". the song is there, it's not like Gee, where it was inexplicably successful and annoyingly cute-ish, or IGAB where it was something that took understanding. It's got all the things you would expect in a song, but people are calling it a flop. I think that's a bit of a different scenario.

Every time SNSD has released a track post-Gee, people have always called it SNSD's worst single to date. We're all starting to get used to it tbh.

IGAB sounded like 3 different songs because it literally was.  They took 2 different songs from 2 different worldwide composers and then they put that framing device around it where the "real" SNSD was sitting around at a slumber party and they were looking at an alternate universe version of themselves "through the keyhole" for the rest of the video.

 

The reason they did this is to make it absolutely clear that SNSD wasn't "turning into" a hip hop group but were the same sweet girls they'd marketed for 6 years

 

I didn't have a problem at all with IGAB because the main song was very good, although the other crap and the Sooyoung babbling English and all that (or Tiffany or w/e) is always completely nonsense.  But any music person must be impressed at the versatility the girls displayed.  It was a totally different musical and performance genre but the girls sounded just as good. 

 

LOL. I LOVED the "TTARA HAE" Line            Though I typically fast-forwarded past the "Igotaboy mocchin(?) paced parts, excluding YoonA and Hyoyeon's raps and the "Oh-Oheyeeyoh" parts with Sooyoung's waist shimmy". I only truly, really liked the SooRi intro, The "Ttara hae" to "Lemmeputitdownanotherway" part, and the TaeNy break.   

 

For example Yoona's rap was surprisingly outstanding, better than many girls in other groups who specialize in it. 

 

I really would not say that, but it was decent. I liked it.

 

The styling and choreography was world class hands down and

MRMR sounds like filler but most of GG's songs do.  Have to wait for the video to judge IMO SNSD is music visual group, listening to just the tracks is like watching a movie without the music or vice versa.

 

True, but at the same time, it's albums that they're selling, not videos. In addition, I've preffered all of SNSD's lead singles, excluding Visual Dreams more than this one.

 

the only thing is, since IGAB SNSD's releases, even the Japanese ones seems to have taken a strategy of staying safe to just milk revenue from Japan and now Korea.  it's like they release stuff just so SNSD's popularity doesn't drop instead of trying to do something musically new or even show new sides of the individual girls

So i recently got my got my SNSD album...and i will say (and i might get Neg'd for this) it was a good album BUT i feel like it wasn't a great album,or it wasn't what i was expecting...MrMr hasn't captivated me like i thought it would have,hyoyeon's lines on Goodbye Slayed me back and forth..i literately started smiling when i heard her sing. now I'm not saying there album is bad,by far it's not bad at all...i just honestly couldn't find a song that i could lay back and listen to on repeat for again and again and again...and this is the first time because i have ALL of SNSD albums and Ive never felt that way with any of them,even there Japanese releases,has songs on the album that i can play on repeat. Maybe when the music video is released i can see things differently i don't know...

 

 

i hope you guys don't think I'm hating,i just wanted to give my fellow SONE family my honest opinion..I'm hoping we get a full album in the future. maybe SM has something up there sleeve that will alleviate this whole mess of a promotion cycle. i don't want to lose my faith in SM but right now there not really showing me anything to as an agency besides,bad judgments (in which i can understand with the fact of the leaked album) but i want so much more for Our girls than what SM is showing us...sorry if this pisses people off,i just had to get it off my chest...

Variety or Reality it doesn't really matter to me. I just want a new Soshi show 

samee but I want TVXQ! TO promote as much as they do in Korea too. I swear, they put all their time and effort in Japan. Yes I know it's for their and most of SM's cold hard bread. But still, the Japanese videos are harder to see, Cause they see TVXQ! almost exclusively as a J-Pop group there.    And their fanbase and audience is big enough or bigger over there, as a result.
