Hi everyone I used to post in Hallyu 8, it took me some time to find you, but I decided to stay a lurker until....

 

Except I don't think that they will. I know they won't. 

Why are we not allowed to say what we WANT instead of what we HAVE?

I'm fucking tired of being told to shut up just because my opinions aren't going to change anything.

I want an SNSD title track that I don't have to listen to 300 times before I like it.

I want Hyoyeon to have more than a second of screentime in their MVs.

I want TaeNy shippers to stop cropping Seohyun out of gifs and screencaps.

I want you to act like a fan of SNSD and not SM.

and that triplets thing....i don't get it, either...they all look so different to me...maybe it's because i'm used to SNSD already....cause i know many people who can't differenciate the triplets and they're very new to kpop. one of my cousins had the same problem, he kept switching Yuri and Seohyun....or Yuri and Yoona...but never Yoona and Seohyun

its because they used to look really similar and from some angles, for the untrained eye is real difficult to differentiate them

Can someone tell me more about this Yoona's 7 princesses thing? its my first time hearing about this, and I find it interesting, I didnt know there was a well known group of friends outside snsd

It's a story she mentioned on Strong Heart years ago 2009 or 2010? A story about her mischievous friends since elementary and I guess up to now base on the pics that was recently posted.

 

 

 

Like 123456 (lol) said, Yoona and a group of her childhood friends called themselves the "7 Princesses." Yoona mentioned them in her IGAB thank yous too. And when SNSD guested on Unstoppable Marriage back in like 2008, the seven of them (sans Yuri and Sooyoung) were a "gang" led by Yoona called "7 Princesses gang" which I'm sure was an homage to her friends :P

On a side note, dont you think its funny how Seohyun and Key have become really good friends, considering how it all started?

isnt it ridiculous to be part of a forum and not accept different opinions?? I'm mostly a lurker, but I'm so glad whenever I read someone express an opinion outside of "oh everything snsd does is bliss and SM is genius" 

 

We are fans, we hope for the best for snsd, because we like them, we expect them to do good and stay for a long time so i dont see a problem in pointing out things that are CLEARLY going wrong in the groups management. (HORRIBLE concert outfits, unequal line distribution in songs, or camera time in videos or opportunities for members, etc).

 

I think arguing for the sake of arguing is ridiculous, yes, but I think the points that are being made here arise because SM keeps on failing on them.

For me, what bothers me the most is the horrible, and I mean horrible production of the concert (a world concert, that will be shown around the world, to even hardest critics). They cant expect SNSD to be taken seriously like this.

 

Their Korean albums.... not gonna comment much on that, just that It would be nice if they put HALF the effort they put in their Japan releases for Korea.

 

And of course the line/camera distribution in song/videos.

 

All those thing I can handle, but the thing that really irks me and frustrates me, is the fact the SNSD is as old as me (I'm 24) and they are still being portrayed as little naive ....GIRLS. I know, its part of the name, (its not called WOMAN GENERATION) but there's a reasonable amount of coy act one can handle in a 24 year old (case in point IGAB opening scene... just irks me) The worst part is that I see most of the girls really wanting to come out of that shell, but not being able to.

 

I think there's a lot of issues going on with snsd's management, and its only interesting if we as fans can have discussions about it, thats why we are (hopefully) semi-rational human beings. 

 

Anyways, sorry for delurking just to keep adding fuel to the fire, but it just sucks to see people trying to censor this thread, which I think is so much fun and in theory open minded...

Can I just say how great I think it is the girls got Instagram accounts... to be really honest, before Taenstagram, Tae was probably on the bottom of my bias list, but Taestagram really screwed everything for me, now I freakking love Taeyeon and adore her existence and interactions with fans via instagram

 

With Hyo and Yul, they were both high on my bias list already so its just so freaking exiting to have them on IG, mainly because I think they're closer in a way... dont know if that makes sense for anyone, but thats how I feel, like the are letting us in in  their lives, idk, its awesome.

 

Cant wait for the next SNSD IG account to happen, by the looks of it, all 9 are gonna end up becoming my number one bias, lol

I completely understand both of your guys' points but I'm against people acting all high and mighty about this situation when people do, in a sense, stalk the girls at the airport. Fans KNOW when and where the girls will be on any given day at the Gimpo or Incheon airports, c'mon, they KNOW when the girls are going to be there. That's not good.

I'm sorry if I did offended some people here with my post later but I just want to say this once!!

 

 

- Tiffany said directly to fans to not take a picture of them (Was that not bothered?)

- Tiffany took away Yoona from a fan who are going to take a picture of her (Was that not bothered enough?)

- Tiffany Yoona and the other mention it on BORA before on their IGAB for fans to not come again to Airport and take a picture of them (Wasnt that giving you people a fucking clue as to why they mention it?)

 

And now Taeyeon mention it on her Insta you' all people go bragging here n there about giving privacy and respect but no one think MAYBE you're the one who did it or support it unconsciously??

 

I'm not mad at The girls or esp taeyeon.. I would never will.. But you guys sometimes really are pisses me of. But then again I know most of people here is Taeyeon biased so sometimes Taeyeon words is a law and everything..

awww man, Sunny's instagram is awesome, I keep checking for updates.

I love how she has always been so conscious of corny things like posting "curling fingers photos", like she knows, and also lol at the hair comment, in al fairness I like her blonde hair, I just miss her as a brunnete thats all.

Let me get this straight. A fan account or two, on balance against ALL the other hundreds of fan accounts of the girls being considerate and sweet brings this sort of reaction from you?

 

What is the expectation here? Buy their CD's and you... are owed something? They're supposed to answer to their fans' demands whenever they're approached? Even when 'off the clock'? NOT at a public event with management and security, but with friends and friends of friends? Or perhaps with family? Those friends do NOT have the training to deal with fans, pushy or not. And how would the girls know what sort of people are coming up to them out of nowhere? There's no buffer, no control and there are people present who don't know how to comport themselves as diplomatically as the girls would know to do.

 

Then too, Taeyeon is in a foreign country. You saw the instagram of her eating with Fany and her friends? Could that make a person uncomfortable? Unsure?

 

But ultimately, it comes down to this. Being a fan gives no sort of ownership, nor expectation of consideration. A fan supports. A fan does NOT demand nor have the right to demand anything. The girls put their best foot forward when they can. That has been proven time and time again.

 

Want a signature? Go to a fansign where you might have the expectation of getting one.

Areed clearly stated that he/she loves the girls but this just tickled him/her off.

You make everything sound so wrong

nobody is demanding anything, being a fan DOES NOT make the girls OWE you anything and its offensive that you suggest that as something someone might think.

But, the girls do know they have international fans, you know, fans that CANT go to the fansigns, CANT go to Korea, etc, so maybe if a fan recognizes you all the way to the other side of the world you may just smile back (which Fany did), thats the point I thinks its trying to be made here.

If they dont, well thats sucks, hopefully there's next time, I personally wouldnt stop being a fan, but I might get  a little bummed, that being my only chance.

Look, as fans, shouldn't THEIR peace of mind mean something to US? Maybe I'm doing this fan thing wrong but I like it when the girls are happy and comfortable and NOT FEELING LIKE THEY'RE BEING HOUNDED WHEN THEY'RE HAVING FREE TIME. I mean, the person who wrote the fan account sounded cool. Saw the girls, asked politely and then backed off when told, 'no'. That was mature behavior befitting a fan. Bravo! Well done.

 

So WHY is there even butthurt about this? Why is this even an issue? Because a fan didn't get an autograph? That right there is entitlement. That is feeling like you're owed something.

 

Is it the girls' fault that there aren't more fansign events internationally? I don't think so. That's just a fact to deal with. They are a Korean group. This is not (gonna assume here) Korea. That gives no one an excuse to demand anything. Having a sense of entitlement? Not a good thing. And yes, the last time the Fany and Tae tried to... have fun at an amusement park? How did that go? You know about that.

 

 

Tiffany probably told Taeyeon, 'I used to go there as a kid! It'll be fun. I'll have my friends, so we'll be safe and we'll have hoodies and it's night time and no one will recognize us.'

 

You're circling the point, which you even go on to explain. Just because some fans are crazy, all fans are crazy? No. So, why? Why did they behave the way they did? What's the harm in a few pictures and autographs? They've only given out thousands of them in their career. Are they too arrogant to sign? Pose for a pic or three? Obviously, no. 

 

I'll give you my speculation. EVERY interaction with unknown people is just that. Unknown. And in a foreign (to Taeyeon) country? Doubly unknown. Surrounded by Fany's friends, likely, they're safe from someone demanding things of them, pictures, autographs, whatever, but if push comes to shove, do they WANT their friends to get into a pushing match trying to protect them? How would that play out on media channels? And Taeyeon's had plenty of experiences with the crazies. Might make her a bit leery when there's no security about. Do you want her to assume that every fan is nice and sane? I don't. 

 

The only safe way to defuse the situation (when they're NOT being minded by SMe) is to make sure it doesn't escalate. I believe that is what Fany told the person who wrote the fanaccount. That's the smart thing, especially given what happened the last time, eh?

 

And "There is no "off the clock" here." Wtaf. Wow. Never a moment to drop the guard? Have a breath of freedom? How horrible and sad is that? Visit a foreign country, where your friend grew up and you're still a prisoner? Silly Taeyeon, thinking that she might get to relax.

Relax, imo this is in no way an ISSUE

 

I just think its funny that people get SO  defensive when some tiny comment (in spoiler btw) is made about the girls behavior that its outside from *omg they are perfect*  I know we are fans but I'm also a human being with opinions, that are in no way hurtful to the girls, cause they are never ill intended  (I can only speak for me), so yes Im a fan and if I have something to critique, I will, no harm point in that, imo it comes with being under the spotlight, don't you think?
