Hi there~! I'm new to OH ^_^

Been a S♥NE for a while now, bit of a rollercoaster but I'm loving it.

My bias...I think it's Taeyeon yeah, but Tiffany comes close in second. They were both at 1 since around The Boys era, but Taeng wrecked my list, mainly due to Taengstagram...I love her posts ;~;

Yes, I do ship TaeNy...well heck I ship everyone in the group but I like TaeNy just a wee bit more than the other pairings. I'm also somewhat partial to YoonTae, SeoFany and HyoYul ^^

Not sure what else to say but, I hope to keep up well with this thread (I miss the girls! \T^T\)...

What are the odds of the new Japanese song's MV being released before they perform it on Nov 4? Assuming, of course, that they are performing the same song that will be promoted (allegedly 'My Oh My') and not one of the un-revealed tracks off the new album.

I've noticed that some of their concert VTRs (especially the intro ones) tend to have that fantasy theme, so I wonder if the Marchen Fantasy will involve something like that (maybe the VTRs, the background and effects). I'm curious as to whether the outfits will also have that sorta theme. I also hope the setlist is a great one....since the concert is after the release of the 3rd JP album I expect some new songs to be added in

Well, I guess I don't need to cry too much about missing out on the singles now that the B-sides are also included on the album. 

The titles of the songs aren't giving anything away at this point, I really don't know what to expect. Initially thought that My Oh My would be the title track, but it's Gossip Girls instead. The transition will be a bit odd though, because the songs on there which we've already heard are totally different. There's Galaxy Supernova, then Love&Girls, then Beep Beep, then My Oh My in that order. It's gonna be a really versatile album but I hope they maintain consistency with those 6 new tracks. Here's to a great one! I'm anticipating it!

Seeing as people seemed interested in the last discussion, here is another area I think people should consider!

 

So, what do people think SNSD should be doing next in their careers? Do you think SM is managing them effectively and helping them to achieve the heights they are capable of?

 

Hmm...they've already started expansion out of the music category through dramas, CFs and the like. As a Games Tech kid, I'm glad that they've ventured into the gaming market (through Freestyle, Blade & Soul, and also the LoL skins) as there's a lot of potential there. I'd defo wanna play a game if I get to play as a Soshi member and kick ass with her. But hmm, I doubt that would involve anything major as such.

 

If the girls are to seriously flourish as a group, there has to be more flexibility with the music. Yes, they are an idol group but they are still, first and foremost, a music group of singers and dancers. If not involving them in contributions on a production scale, at least some more musical projects like solo albums and more subunit projects can be done (there are 9 members, that's a shitton of combinations they can come up with). They'll be more seasoned performers. 

 

As for SM, egads. I've defended them all this while, always saying that whatever's in store for us is worthwhile. But I've just about had it with 'em. They're complacent now. I don't think we were spoiled so much back then, that was just the expected level of promotions and exposure that the girls should be getting even now. I became a fan just before 2010 happened, and boy, 2010 was a big year. Whenever I'd go to school and spazz around with my fellow SONE buds in class, there would always be something to talk about from the previous day. 'Hey did you see that new video/picture?' 'Didja hear the new song that was released yesterday?' Now? It'd be lucky if something new was out even once a week. It's not even SM we're relying on anymore, it's the girls themselves! They're doing a better job at the PR and promotion. I'm just hoping now that they brush up; let us have all those variety show appearances again, those radio shows, special performances, MC-ing, full speed ahead again on the S.S. Soshi. And for goodness' sake, let them promote properly in Japan. That's the least they can do...if they're not planning on doing anything in Korea then let the girls stay in Japan, work on their Japanese and get on different shows. Yeesh. I'm starting to feel that this is all wishful thinking.

It's difficult for me to say whether they should work with a notable producer since even the notable ones could write a 'bad' song. Heck, with Kenzie, she's done ITNW and Ulf, which are practically the North Pole and South Pole.

 

I really wonder who they've worked with for the upcoming album.

Not to mention that the official schedule listed SNSD as..well, SNSD, while for MBC SNSD was listed as 'Taeyeon Jessica Sunny Tiffany Hyoyeon Yuri Sooyoung Seohyun'.

Even on the sheet it's not like SNSD(8) is written like for the KBS setlist
