I am not, your "constructive" criticism and "should have went to Jessica or Taeyeon" sentence has

been repeated too many times and that's why I am calling out your biasness and bs.

I honestly do not understand why your getting so defensive... everyone has a bias including yourself which is why you are so upset over what you are labelling unfair treatment of Tiffany. I agree that the comment about going to Jessica or Taeyeon is unfair however if you were to look at it from an unbiased point of view it is logically considering they are the two main vocalists in the group and have the range to pull off the song. Tiffany sang it well but regarding the technique required to sing falsetto or hit the high notes consistently, Taeyeon and Jessica are better disregarding bias.

 

It would be the same as if the SM dance break had just Yoona and Yuri. Everyone in the fandom would be confused as to why Hyoyeon isn't involved considering her skills are at a higher level than all the girls. Sones would still love that the girls are present however we would all wonder why Hyoyeon didn't do the dance instead. There is no bs involved, it is just an understanding that the girls all have their strengths.

I agree with Bringthesnacksout. This thread has had its fair share 'bashing' as you like to put it of every single member. Tiffany is not the only victim of fandom opinion or judgement nor the only one who makes mistakes. We are not blind nor we ignore what the girls do, thats why we are Sones. Consider the relationship between Taeyeon and Jessica, the fandom has had several heated debates about what happened, fairness of line distribution and ost opportunities with subsequent bashing about the attitude of either. Being 'sensitive' about comments related to YOUR bias will get you nowhere in ANY fandom.

 

You've taken what Bringthesnacksout said out of context.

She did not comment on personality merely vocal prowess which is up to you to agree or disagree with. It isn't an issue to get upset over.

Lets just leave it at appreciating what the girls do. Giving each girl a fair chance at broadening their horizons is a great move for their future careers.
It's better something than nothing when considering solo activities.
 
But this doesn't mean we can't have an opinion about how they perform, (we're not mindless fans) but being fans lets learn how to accept views on our bias and not be so critical about each of the girls trying to expand their individual talents. Be happy that we even get to see them trying new things!

Now let's all calm TFD and appreciate our girls... OT9 ftw!

SNSD is the only group that SM believe to have a debut in America. Of course it just a plan but SM choose a girl group and not boy group. I think SM want to plan well before releasing any English album. Just remember, SM dont have faith on "boy group" for debuting in America.

 

SNSD also releasing a lot of Japanese singless this year and the new japanese album this December..I dont think SM is ignoring SNSD. They are already etablished... not like EXO, they are depending on fangirls..not on public. Maybe SM want the public to acknowledge their boy groups too by giving some awards to them.

 

 

I agree. Considering SNSD were able to sell almost as much as EXO without as much promotions and no repackage is evidence with how relevant the girls are. Added with how popular each girl is, SM know that that individually the girls are able to maintain their position as the top girl group without that much more promotion. Whereas when looking at Shinee and EXO, both groups are being pushed in order to keep competition from achieving the status that Super Junior has/had at their peak. I doubt SM want to hand it over to a group from another company. Therefore the push this year makes sense where super junior are now in their enlistment phase and in order to keep their consumer market they have had Shinee and EXO take over. Plus since they want the public recognition they need to make either group win big awards this year which if they had pushed SNSD even half as much would have been impossible. 

 

This doesn't mean I agree with the mediocre effort put into our girls korean comebacks however I'm fine that they are still releasing music even if it is in Japan. Bonus is our girls have international activities that keep them busy which is a state that I believe SM wants them to keep and expand on. However I am still holding out that SM will push out a SNSD album or have a TTS comeback at least.

2009/2010 happened because of Gee. That in itself probably wasn't in SM's plans however they went with the flow and promoted the girls because the song was received exceptionally well by the public. SM is a business, they wouldn't promote a group without thinking through how to profit from them. For 2009 SNSD became the IT girl group in the public's eyes so it made sense for them to promote the girls in comparison to their drought of promotions after kissing you. Furthermore promotions did not stop for the boy groups so I don't see what you mean about unfairness in SM's treatment of the girls. Both groups had equal promotional cycles.

 

As far as I am concerned our girls deserved their awards that year. Gee was huge and Genie consolidated their position on the music scene. If their music wasn't recognised so well by the public, they wouldn't have won. 

 

What we are saying is that it would be nice if our girls got a repackage or another comeback like the boy groups when considering the amount of promotions they have had. We are NOT, I repeat NOT, attacking EXO or SHinee. We are focusing on SM's management strategy for our girls.

 

I agree fx is also hard done by but as this is the SNSD thread as Sones we are upset over the obvious tactics that SM have employed. If either group win the awards they deserve it however it is sad that the girls can not compete as their ability to sell hasn't been capitalised on.

 

Please don't put words in our mouths. This is what starts fandom wars and honestly I am sick and tired of that s*.

Why do you always like to drag an entire fandom into these things? A few people do not represent and entire fandom, nor do you know the thoughts of the majority. 

And were you really around during 2009-2010?

All you said seems to be just what you heard or believe from second-hand accounts , I  can't agree or even understand all the points you mentioned. 

 

Don't generalise please, you lose all credibility and sense when you start labeling entire fandom behaviour as if they are a single entity or you represent them .

On a side note: Any thoughts on the cover of the SNSD 2014 calendar?

 

 

 

I'm enjoying all the boy's calendars with their photos and colours so why no pink or rainbows on our babies calendar or pictures or something………     i didn't mind the last one even though it wasn't my favourite but now there isn't even any furniture  -_-  sm the babies are flawless so why no colour/ images?!

 

But then again poor fx doesn't even have an image so I can't complain really I just want there to be some colour
