Man to Man: Episode 6

Our secret agent better watch out, because it seems that even his super spy defenses are no match for our heroine’s lovable, but sometimes cringe-inducting antics. All things considered, it says a lot about Do-ha that she’s able to fully throw herself into this new relationship, but I think it says even more that she seems to be able to chip away at Seol-woo’s walls without him even noticing.

EPISODE 6 RECAP

After happily embracing Seol-woo and calling him â€œson-in-law,†Do-ha’s father, Myung-suk, suggests that they go out to dinner. As they eat, Seol-woo makes a few notes about Myung-suk, narrating that he’s â€œa con artist who survives on connections and bluffing. To his family, he’s a complete nuisance.†Outwardly, Seol-woo continues to play the part of the perfect boyfriend, even calling Myung-suk “father.†It’s not long before Myung-suk asks Do-ha about the “item†he gave her, but Do-ha continues to insist that she threw it away. Seung-jae receives confirmation from one of his men that Myung-suk has the Black Auction ring, so he gives the orders to contact Ki-chul. Just outside Seung-jae’s door, Mi-eun lingers, eavesdropping on the conversation.

Back home, Seol-woo’s struggling from all the alcohol consumed at dinner. However, he sobers up quickly when Dong-hyun identifies the sniper they’re after as a fellow ghost agent who’s gone rogue. As Dong-hyun talks, Seol-woo gets a text from Do-ha. The two exchange cutesy messages back and forth, and Do-ha can’t contain her giggles when Seol-woo declares that it’s the first day of their new relationship. She texts back a sweet goodnight, which elicits a smile from Seol-woo—and Dong-hyun busts him immediately for it, hee. His smile fading, Seol-woo tells his colleague that he’s partaking in a â€œstrategic good night,†since Do-ha’s now fallen for him. Do-ha squeals when the clock hits midnight, excited that it’s officially Day 2 of her new relationship. Song-yi wonders if this means Do-ha’s now over Woon-kwang, but Do-ha says her feelings for her oppa are different than those she has for Seol-woo. Do-ha then thanks Song-yi for letting her dad crash at their place and tells her to let her know immediately if Myung-suk tries to ask for money.

Ki-chul tells Seung-jae about his plans for securing the wooden carving and the ring. Seung-jae cares more about the results than the details of Ki-chul’s plan, but he does give Ki-chul one specific mandate: to take back control of the Baek Infantry from Assemblyman Baek. Department Head Jang receives an unwanted visitor at lunch when Assemblyman Baek plops down at his table. The assemblyman confirms the identity of the sought-after sniper as Seo Ki-chul, then offers Department Head Jang a deal: He’ll hand over Ki-chul’s file, but only if he gets what he needs. Do-ha arrives at her office building all dressed up and with a spring in her step. She’s surprised to see Seol-woo waiting for her outside, and the two engage in some flirty banter before they head in. In between her bashful smiles, Do-ha remembers to ask Seol-woo to keep their relationship a secret for now. She tells him to pretend he’s an undercover spy in a James Bond movie, asking him to act â€œsecretly and covertly.†At this, he smiles and asks her if it’s okay to do this really well.

In the office, Do-ha’s colleagues gape over Do-ha’s outfit before immediately assuming that she must be seeing someone. Woon-kwang suspiciously gives Do-ha a once-over, then ventures a guess as to who that man might be: him. Pfft. But then he quickly pivots and asks Do-ha if the man in her life is Guard Kim. That happens to be when Seol-woo enters the office, so Woon-kwang pulls Do-ha close and asks Seol-woo what he thinks of Do-ha today. Playing the role of â€œundercover spy†perfectly, Seol-woo coolly responds that she’s not his style. He even goes as far as to criticize her clothes and haircut, calling it tacky.

Looking hurt, Do-ha laughs weakly and repeats his words that she’s not his type. Her face falls further as she fingers her hair, and she mutters about getting up at the crack of dawn to primp. Meanwhile, Seol-woo smiles in satisfaction.

Song Joong Ki And Namgoong Min Confirmed To Be Making Cameo Appearances In “Man To Manâ€

A representative from JTBC confirmed earlier today that actor Song Joong Ki will be making a special cameo appearance in an upcoming episode of “Man to Man.†As JTBC’s “Man to Man†was entirely pre-filmed, Song Joong Ki filmed his portion of the upcoming ninth episode of “Man to Man†this past February. He will be taking on the role of a bank employee, similar to the role that Yoo Ah In took on in his cameo appearance for “Descendants of the Sun.â€

Song Joong Ki’s character will be interacting with Park Sung Woong and Park Hae Jin’s characters and is expected to make a lasting impression, despite his short appearance. Song Joong Ki’s cameo appearance came about because he has worked with “Man to Man†writer Kim Won Suk in the past, as Kim Won Suk co-wrote the hit drama “Descendants of the Sun†with writer Kim Eun Sook.

Furthermore, actor Namgoong Min is also set to make a cameo appearance in “Man to Man,†as he worked with PD Lee Chung Min for the drama “Remember,†in which he played the villainous Nam Kyu Man. Although few details have been released about his cameo role, some are saying that he will be making an appearance as a character similar to Nam Kyu Man.
