I keep binging. Please help.

What should I do? I keep binging on unhealthy food (mostly chips). I binged two days ago. Then I ate pretty normal yesterday and binged so hard today. I feel terrible. Is there anything I could do to ease the discomfort? Wish I could get diarrhea or something. Idk why I binge. I'm not starving myself or anything. My weight is on the other end (lower) of the healthy BMI if that matters. I just want to eat normally, but sometimes I do things without realizing. Fuck. Why can't I have a normal eating schedule. Please advice. I'll seriously try to implement any helpful advices to my eating schedule.

Edit: fkkkk autocorrect

Do you keep food around when you're doing mindless activities like web surfing or watching television? If you're snacking when doing stuff like that, it might help to assign yourself a designated eating area, tell yourself that's the only place you're allowed to eat at, and you're not allowed distractions like television or your phone while you're there. Doing that puts your focus squarely on eating.

It also helps me if I put my food in a bowl or container instead of toting a whole bag of chips around. If I fill up a bowl of chips and munch on those, I typically eat less because I don't have super easy access to the bag.

As for easing the discomfort, with the exception of a laxative, I don't really have any advice. :( Hopefully it passes soon.

I tried to eat some bananas. I'm not sure if the fiber is enough, but I'm hoping it can at least help me a little.

I usually just eat. I don't really use my phone. However, I did find myself trying to distract myself with my phone while binging today. I think I'm too extreme. It sometimes even feels like I'm trying to torture myself by binging on chips so much. Two days ago, I ate so much chips till the roof of my mouth bled. I think your advice is pretty good. I'll try not to be so extreme, and I guess I could learn some portion control.

Either don't buy junk food or lock it up somewhere. Paste notes onto cupboard containing your junk food reminding you not to eat it.

Eventually it all come down to your self control and willpower. We can give you all the tips but if you can't control yourself, it will be no use.

Sorry if I sound harsh.

^^^^^ it's okay

I want to thank everyone for their input. I realize that I only ever binge on one specific brand and flavor so I'll 100% disallow myself from buying that brand and flavor at all! I also realize that i easily succumb to peer pressure and buy because I'm afraid my friend will get mad if I don't. I'll try to explain things to her nicely, if not try to distance myself from her.

Tomorrow onwards, I'll slowly ease myself into a new eating (and hopefully regular) schedule. Thank u so much ^^

so follow follow me if u want that good life

Really, all of this can help, but, in the end, it comes down to self-control. You have to will yourself to not eat junk food all the time, and after awhile it will just become natural for you to eat healthier. I used to drink a 20 pack of coke per day with my buddies, but I had to will myself to stop, and now I don't even really drink it at all.
