Article: Ok Taecyeon apologizes "Inappropriate of me to criticize JYP, my affections for the company are excessive"

Source: Star Today via Nate

"I feel that it was inappropriate of me to publicly make a statement on the business affairs of my company. I ask for your understanding, as it was written out of my excessive affection for JYP to become the best as an entertainment company. I will work harder to communicate better with them in the future."

1. [+383, -11] What was excessive about what he said? He wrote what was true and seemed to restrict himself appropriately. The comments to what he said for the most part were positive and in support of his ideas. The only thing he did wrong was talk about his company's business affairs publicly but I feel that if he made the conscious decision to go public with it, he should stick to his guns instead of taking it back and apologizing.

2. [+268, -11] I hope JYP reads all of this and reflects so that they can move forward and improve.

3. [+262, -8] Taecyeon is not at fault here. He is simply the one who chose to wield the sword for all of the problems that have been built up between other artists and their fans. Everyone is on the same page as Taecyeon. Until when does JYP plan on ignoring the opinions of fans and living off of their past glory days?

4. [+16, -1] I really hoped for a JYP artist to come forward like this. Taecyeon was not excessive in any way, he did fine. This is the opportunity for them to unroot Park Jin Young's obsession with American advancement once and for all.

5. [+15, -1] It's the weekend and JYP is still working?? They're of course the hardest workers when it comes to their image ã…‹ã…‹ They put all the blame onto their own artist and hide behind his back ã…‹ã…‹ I seriously want them to open a conference, not with 2PM but just the JYP staff.

1. [+2,233, -77] I just can't imagine how frustrated he must've felt that he had to post that

2. [+2,034, -70] As long as he got everything off his chest... It's not like he left the company, he already renewed his contract so he's in it for the long haul and obviously wants to fix these issues with them. I'm sure he was smart enough to have already expected this.

3. [+1,584, -65] I believe that he only wrote it out of good intentions for his company.

4. [+1,438, -63] He said it in a very respectable manner.

5. [+1,262, -53] Well he obviously wasn't trying to bring JYP down with what he said

Taecyeon isn't stupid. He most likely knew he would have to write some "I'll be a better person blah blah." kind of apology after tweeting that. He must have been really upset for to tweet that in the open like that. I'm glad a JYPe artist finally said something about the management that fans and even non fans have been saying for awhile. Now, there will definitely be at least SOME change since Taec put their problems in the open. I really hope so.

It wasn't an apology to me. I feel that he knows what he is doing and the last tweet is a further explanation. He is not doing or saying anything that we, Hottests, or JYPE Nationers, don't really know anyway. While I do see people's view that 'he shouldn't say this on public' but I see Taec's view too.

He's rarely get stressed and he's such a laidback happy-go-lucky guy. This is actually, to me, a big thing for him to actually do and say, considering he rarely says (if ever) something this serious on twitter. If Chan says this, I would totally understand, Chan always thinks deep and tweets serious things. Khun, I also agree, him saying serious things on twitter won't be that surprising. Woo, Jun. K and Ho rarely tweets.

So, yeah, this is leaving a big impression, and I do hope he gets to vent as he want and JYPE actually really do take care of their shitty management.

That said,

YOU GO TAEC!

I don't think he's being forced to apologize. He probably does feel badly for taking this public even though he had good reason (and intentions) to do so.

Of course he was. Taec is a smart dude and he is not new to the industry. He knew the kind of reaction his tweets would get and still he sent them on purpose and didnt delete them until hours after things blew up. Its not like he was giving a live interview and said something without thinking. He thought about what he wanted to say and sent out 3 separate tweets.

This is a classic forced backtrack and retraction. It reads like it was written by a PR person.

His initial tweets were really well thought-out though. He knew what he was doing. I agree that it was a bit inappropriate but at the same time it seems like this was needed to (hopefully) get JYPE back on track. Taking one for the team I think.

Blame it on the CEO for not managing his idols right. They could've been the best of the best if they had improved and truly stopped living off of their "Big 3" glory days because right now, they aren't in that category. They should also stop wanting to advance to America because that always ends up becoming a one hit wonder thing. I am a JYP stan and Taec was definitely in the right for calling out the company on their flaws.

P.S. JYP is NOT the CEO, just the largest share holder.
