When do you add a certain Acronym/Abbreviation to your internet lingo?

You probably won't remember the moment.

But there was a point in time when you first used the interwebs and you saw someone type something like "lol" or "wtf" or etc. in a dialogue. We don't start using this language in the beginning of our internet experience.

So I was wondering: At what point do you pick them up and use it as part of your own speech? is there any fascinating or interesting story of a particular acronym that you decided to start using?

At one point, "lol" was for if someone said something that was supposed to be funny but I didn't laugh or think it was all that funny. It was kinda just a placeholder or something to say. I actually typed out hahaha and the like when I actually though it was comcial

I started using lmao when I started feeling like a badass rebel

started using omg with the past year or so cause I didn't feel like typing the entire phrase and I was saying "wow" too much or just cared about the person's feelings and didn't want to seem sarcastic
