Pledis Entertainment Boycott

I made this yesterday before the E-Young news (she unfollowed everyone from her insta) but I'm still going to stand by it. Please sign it and share.

Also please reblog this if you can.

Oh and before commenting, please actually read the petition. Circular logic I've read far too many times too... obviously nothing is going to happen if you just let it be. And laugh all you want, but there aren't any better ideas atm.

What was the E-young news?

What was the E-young news?

What's with E-young?

My AS fave :rlytearpls:

Boycotting requires refusing to support groups from the company. Otherwise it's useless. Good luck convincing seventeen fans.

What happened?

Updated OP with what happened to E-Young. Also please read the actual petition before making assumptions. ^_^

I'll never understand why people get so worked up about who their faves are and aren't following on social media ...

I think the main concern is that it's AS's disbandment soon, and this is a sign of it, rather than us imposing who E-Young should and should not follow.

All groups will disband at some point, for some that time comes sooner than for others. Instead of mourning the end of After School, try to celebrate what they've done and the happiness they've given to their fans. :)

If you read what the petition contained, you'd know why we were petitioning.

This is a silly idea.

Do you have a better one though? I'm all ears.

If you want a boycott, you need the k-fans to help. The only time Pledis responded in the past was when k-fansites submitted a joint-boycott in regards to the company's lack of communication; the last petition for an AS comeback with 6k signatures received zero responses.

Where will your petition be delivered to, for it to even 'take effect'?

We're working on that. K fans actually also delivered a petition last time in joint with the i-fans' petition, as posted by AS Daze as well. I'm currently in the works of asking AS Daze for help on a K-fan petition.

Pledis won't do what AS fans, especially I-fans, want them to and they never will, that's just the reality. Any kind of "boycott" will just hurt the idols in the end anyway.

I frankly don't care about Seventeen and Nu'est, so it's not hurting anyone I care about. If After School have been shitted on by Pledis I personally am not gonna take it. Not saying this will even work, but I don't have a better plan.

Pledis is moving on from the Son Dambi & AS generation of their company. While I agree its sad that AS and OC probably won't get any more promotions, it is a decision for Pledis to make. Although it is disappointing to see pledis mess up a good thing like OC. Pledis for whatever reasons have decided not to invest anymore money into afterschool. You can't ask a company to pour money into what they think is a sinking ship, just so it will make you feel better. I honestly think Pledis could have gotten a lot more from After School with better management, but that is also their regret, not just yours. However, unlike you they don't stan groups, they have other groups to move onto. That's just the sad reality.

The job of a company is to sustain their artists within a contract period. Pledis has done absolutely nothing for AS as a group in the past year, despite the girl's wishes. I am not accepting that.

A companies first job is to make money. Not to follow the wishes of their artists.

I'm sorry but Pledis are moving on from their first acts, it's sad & frustrating but that's just the way it is. All pop acts have a relatively short expiry date, especially if you are not that the top of your field. AS and Dambi built Pledis and made kpop as a whole better simply by existing, we will always have that. It is what it is.

You're free to not sign it. But that doesn't mean I'll just take what I'm given. Pledis have not done their job correctly. If they did I would be happy to have AS disband. But we can't even get that out of Pledis.
