It's true that at the beginning, she was really bad at performing, really awkward and with no personality. But she has improved so much over time. It took her a bit of time but there's a huge gap between her first tv performances and the ones for Love Trip. She enjoys being on stage a lot more than previously. If we look at the current senbatsu, she's probably the most interesting member. She's sweet, fashionable, able to convey her feelings frankly and she's a good entertainer when she's at her ease. + her HS are still good for someone who mistreats her fans...lol Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

She's def not a slogan for hard work always pays off that Takamina likes to champion because she was pushed like crazy when there was nothing interesting about her and she didn't put any real effort to her work. Can we get someone more reliable to translate that article? I'm not in this fandom so I don't know anything about that user, but it looks accurate to me and not exaggerated. The only part that might've been off was "Shimazaki seems on her way to graduation" where you could more literally translate it as "Shimazaki herself seems she wants to graduate," but when you get down to it, they're both saying the same thing.
