Do you think I should drop out of this class?

ok so my accounting class is fcking me in the ass, i probably have a 50% in the class or something after the last test

 

it was a 2.5 hr midterm without breaks and i feel like that should be illegal or something to give a midterm thats that long like wtf i got tired after 15 minutes and didnt do the last problem because i had no time

 

 

anyways should i drop the class or just keep going? i could drop with a W [i dont have any W's or Fs/Ds] but i still have to take the class but id rather take it online since sitting through that class irl is so grueling and i do better in online classes

but i only have 1 semester til im supposed to be done with this school and transfer, and next sem i have to take another acct class. 

 

should i drop my acct class now, and take both next sem? 

 

i still have til like mid december til the class is over so idk if i should risk staying and raising my grade to a C or B 

 

plus i already paid for the book out of pocket and it was like over 100 bucks

I think you should try to raise your grade to a C or B. Cuz dropping it would be throwing money out the window.

Stay, its a waste of money and time in the first place and you can still probably raise your grade in the final exam with extra effort. I still remember sitting for 5 hours for an exam in one of my engineering major, just take your time during those long-hours exam (it's part of the test with prof testing students patience), don't rush and double-checked your answers as much as possible.

Yeah, sometimes asshole professor do that, I usually gauge my time in the first question/problem and based on its difficulty and the time spent, I determine if I can finish the test or not. If not, I try to do questions I'm sure and with higher points. Try to look for students that already passed the class and inquire about the professor style, maybe he will give an easier final exam after the hard midterm (this scenario happened a lot based on my experience).

That depends on how well you think you'll do the next time you take it. In theory you shouldn't drop classes just because you think you're doing poorly, but in practise a W is better than an F. If you think you'll get a C or higher the next time you take it, then I would consider dropping. If you you don't then I think you should meet with your teacher or TA to try to figure out what it is you don't understand so you can do better and bring your grade up to a passing.
