Regretting Album Purchases

Recommended Posts

It's been about 2 years since I bought my first kpop album (Dark & Wild) but now I have 6 albums and I really regret buying them now because I've either realized I don't like the artist or the album in general just sucked. I kind of want to sell them but I'm underage and I don't want my mom to find out lol. Has anyone else felt this? Spending so much money on an album only to end up just liking the poster or holographic photocard lol

Wow, that sucks  :._.: I've never felt that, but I'm always afraid it'll happen. Although to be fair, I only buy an album if I really love the songs so I don't think I run that risk.

Just wait until you're legal and then sell it, I'm sure someone will want to buy it.

Yeah. I regret getting my Junsu and Jaejoong albums. Not because I dislike the music or those two but I never listen to them anymore. Even if I did it'd be on the computer or my music player. I've been thinking about selling them for a long time. For EXO, after Lotto I decided to just buy the digital copies and get the posters for future albums (since that's all I ever want anyway)

Meh probably just wait or sell them secretly lmao. And listening to it on YouTube usually recommended so I do that but I had a good streak of buying albums with songs I like on it and can listen to over and over again so I skipped over that step recently and bought an album from the JYP group. Worst. Decision. Ever.

Even with my biases, I only buy the physical copies if I liked more than half of the album. CD's in general are expensive and I'm not coughing out cash for something that I think is shit. But when I started out 7 years ago, I was so hyped because of the different designs and the goodies that came along that I was just collecting anything lol, so I feel you... but you learn as you grow.

Now, the only time I'll buy a CD that I'm into is if it's autographed or if I have a feeling that the band might disband and I want to have something to remember them by (That's how I felt about LC and I was lucky enough to get a copy autographed by all the members before the accident...)

Well, JYP's groups all have a huge fanbase so you'll definitely, 100% will find someone to buy it from you. Just take care of them and make sure everything's in order until you sell it, so you can do it for a price close to the one you bought it.

I like collecting and even if I don't follow the artist anymore it's just nice memories   Besides I like the music in all the albums I have so if I listen to them again in the future I won't hate it

True like the only reason why I haven't sold Dark & Wild is because I bought it with money from my first geography competition haha.

i actually don't regret buying any albums i personally brought with my own money. before i had a credit card, i asked my family to buy me some for christmas and my bday and the only one i regret asking for is block b's blockbuster album because i'm not a fan of them and was never a big fan of them. other group's albums that i have and am no longer a fan of i still listen too and am glad i could support them.

I regret and at the same time I don't regret getting 4Minute's Volume Up, I like the package but it takes too much space on my shelf and doesn't match the smaller albums

I regret buying T-ara N4 album bcz I don't really like the pictures in it nor the song to be very honest

I regret buying T-ara Sexy Love because the pictures are kinda meh and Day by Day was far superior (no ugly wigs)

but I like to support my faves even if I get bored of their goods

This is why you listen to the whole album on Youtube before you buy it to see if its worth it

I'll look at the specification first. The first and lastest album that I bought contain 15 songs include the other version of title track and more b side songs. I got huge ass poster, 2 stickers, 1 big pc and 2 small pc also quite many photo book mini pages too meanwhile the price is not too different with an album which is contain cd only.

And the most important I love the other songs on the album, I think thats a win win solution. I got many good songs, many bonuses and reasonable price

yeah back in the 90's when i bought american albums, a lot of the times only a few songs out of whole album would be good.

for k-pop and j-pop i haven't been disappointed yet since i usually listen to album first, although i have blind bought all of the kara's stuff which i'm really happy with. there's also some other artists that hasn't let me down yet either on my blind preorder buys.
