Exactly a month ago, on August 16th, SUGA dropped his first solo MV titled 'Agust D'.

 

 

We've been graced with not only one but two MVs from his mixtape which consisted of 10 tracks, including a skit.

 

 

Since we had a month to let this all marinate and digest, have you picked a new favorite track?

 

What have you been listening to more?

 

I personally need to listen to 'Give it to me' once a day to give me that extra energy

I don't even want to talk about it. But I will. I assume the 3rd MV was a miscommunication at this point.

 

Annnyyyways, "Agust D" is my fave btw those 2. "The Last" is my favorite track with "So Far Away" not far behind. 

 

The whole thing is awesome and I'm still not over it tbh.

Ngl I'm a bit :/ that they did a MV for Give it to Me if they were only going to give us 2 MVs. It feels like dinner being cut off before the main course. So Far Away is such a good song and so perfect for a MV *types strongly worded letter to BH*

Same. GITM is similar to Agust D and feels more like a transition song than a promoted track. SFA would've been better if there were only supposed to be 2. Maybe there were issues with the feature or long guitar solo? There are other tracks that may have been better choices though.

 

But we got 2 MVs for this free mixtape and that's more than I was expecting to begin with.  :)

without the part about BigHit lying, because I don't think they said anything about a 3rd mv.

 

I think there still hasn't been a day that I haven't listened to at least a few of the tracks. I've been listening to them omw to work every day.

 

My favorite is The Last and it hasn't changed. I want to blast it so f*ing loud, but I don't have speakers. :rlytearpls: SFA is a close second. I've been listening to those two the most, but Tony Montana has been growing on me too. The other day I caught myself thinking about how it would be nice if someone else failed and then immediately remembered the lyrics from Tony Montana and I was like 'oh shit, I shouldn't think this way '. Thanks for making me a better person, Yoongi.

Here's an insurmountable amount of garbage. I apologize in advance.

 

 

I lost this piece of paper where i wrote the names of everyone i wanted to reply to on the Suga thread. I also forgot what were my initial thoughts about the mixtape. See, i didn't wanna review it before it was officially 'over', that's once all 3 MVs were out.

 

But it's been a month already and i think it's safe to say that we're not getting the SFA mv, at least not this year.

 

I know i've been ridiculed for having sfaith, but honestly all the signs were out there.

 

1. They said including "Agust D, Give it to me and So Far Away" in the description. The first 2 got MVs.

 

2. Agust D had scenes of Give it to me and vice versa. They both have scenes of another MV.

 

3. RM got 3 MVs, that should be a precedent.

 

So my take is, SFA exists but they didn't drop it cause they had to further BTS' comeback in order to have a better chance of winning gaon's last quarter and other year end awards. Take it with a grain of salt. I've got a gut feeling that he's gonna drop it next year for his birthday, as a gift to fans.

 

And if they never drop it then i gotta say... who the fuck was in charge of choosing which songs would get MVs. Give it to me is like a nicer, less  impactive version of Agust D, and the MV is like an after credits scene of that track as well.

 

What the fuck.

 

I mean i'm grateful for the mixtape's promo, but they could have done him far more justice with other tracks.

 

Goddammit.

 

I mean SFA showcased Suga's versatility in a way GTM could never. I love GTM though. I actually like it more than Agust D.

 

Anyway.

 

The mixtape is amazing. My fav tracks are the story trilogy: 724148, 140503 at dawn and The Last. I really liked The Last, i'm glad it had such a good reception.

 

Overall, as someone said the other day in the main thread, the mixtape was a way for Suga to move on rather than make noise and get more famous. I really admire that.

 

This post is my way of moving on, by the way. I'll try to stop talking about SFA and being the negative heartbroken shadow i've been lately. Cause all in all the mixtape was amazing and it really delivered a message to me, kinda made me wanna be a better person.

 

'Til March nex year, that is.

It's okay. You know you aren't the only one who feels this way. We can be heartbroken together and I say we're allowed to vent from time to time. Who knows, maybe we'll find out more about their thinking behind those promotions at a later date. Hopefully we at least get some quality Suga slayage with Wings.

I can't at BH giving fans false hope. They'd better take out SFA from the MV's description

I didn't like The Last on my first listen, before I read the translation, since it sounds too gruesome for my ears.

But it grows on me. My fav track atm. Especially when he says "Hell, no!"  :)

 

That being said, I still hope for one MV. 

Give justice to So Far Away!!!!!
