Rene. 2,660
and all the controversies related to it... The name comes from Vladimir Nabokov's amazing novel ,Lolita right? That girl called Dolores whom Humbert called lolita....light of my life, etc. Is that book really famous in SK? Its quite old, tho...I wonder how that happened. sakurahanabira 6,634
isn't the book one of the classic novels? Classics are usually pretty well-known.

Joga 1,315
Lolita is more of a phrase known everywhere, like "computer" lol. A lot of people don't realize it comes from a book when they talk about it.

noon 20,968
Iu dressed as Matilda for infinity challenge concert , have seen some sketches on SNL Korea about Leoni actually learned about leon through that performance. matilda seems to be a relevant character reference over there, or at least on pann (not just based on that performance, but other times when ive seen idols affectionately referred to as looking like matilda). it just seems odd how there seems to be this knee-jerk reaction to anything vaguely resembling 'lolita', but there is also a general awe towards a character like matilda.
