This show is confusing me even more... episode 5 was probably my favorite, but episode 6 was probably my least favorite, and it's completely because of production, which a pre-produced show shouldn't be having issues with -__-  I'm glad to see the characters develop, but it feels like we jumped several steps. When did the Baek Ah get so close to Soo? Since when did the younger princes (the 9th especially) like Soo enough to help her? And trust So enough to get him to help? I think a flashback scene when Soo was revealed to be the person riding with So would have helped greatly.

 

What I did appreciate was that Soo ended up saving herself from the marriage by cutting her hand. And despite the sudden friendship, it's good that she's found a friend in Baek Ah, and that Baek Ah and So are interacting. Production does need to save itself though.

I thought Eunuch Ma was faking his love to the court lady, so that surprised me when it ended up actually being sincere. Also, I wanted to watch the episode after subs came out, so I avoided looking at spoilers/forums, but forgot went on youtube and saw a thumbail of them kissing   . Need to be more careful next time....

 

Other than that though (the second of which was completely my fault), it was a great episode as always <3

During that time arrange marriage is very very common. That is their norms. So i don't get why they all seem so freak out. Honestly among all Prince the only one i can see who will mostly likely try to stop the wedding is Wang So and not because he like her but because he can empathize on what it is like to be miserable. He was so miserable with his family because he is the unwanted one thus with that reasoning i can see some logic and explanation on why he will try to stop the wedding and save Haesoo. They could have even use this time to build Wang So - Hae Soo connection and Wang So as a character but no all the prince have to be so concern about her. Actually at a point i can even ride on the fact that Baekhyun wanna save her. Okay!

He himself get married for political reason so he should understand why the King wanna marry Haesoo for political reason. It seems out of character for him to go stop the wedding. For what? Because he like her? Is he really the character that will put personal desire over politics or over what is NORMAL during that time?! I don't remember BBJX having this part although i may have skip it. I feel like this was all just fanservice. they sacrifice the script for fanservice.

 

Sad because i actually think the plot itself is great (even more than MDBC and i love that drama to bits) and the drama will be so good if the script follow through. And please give Lee Jun Ki more screen time. I know i know the 8th Prince got more screen time in the first half in BBJX too because Rouxi have crush on him first but the 4th prince and Rouxi tension and connection was still there. mainly also because in BBJX Rouxi is well aware of history. Is Haesoo also aware of history in Moon Lovers? Honestly she do not seem so.

Hae Soo can think for herself, Hani can't and revolves her entire life on the man she had a huge crush on, even initially going into nursing just because he was going to medical school.

This is just the beginning, watch later they'll recap few years in few episodes. And lol knets nevet watched the original ver yet they bashed baekhyun to death and complained junki's screentime. Sometimes it's not only about main-main with lead as extras yknow, sometimes extras could get more time before the main time later...
