What? HipHop/Rap is so popular on Korea. Like SMTM always slay all the charts every season. But ofc that's not the only reason. They release good music

Some of y'all act like YG only ever goes for Hip Hop/ Rap concepts when many of the most popular songs from their groups have been outside of the Hip Hop genre.

I'm just saying that YG do popular concepts, even if it's not HipHop anymore, like the rest of Big3 and small companies... we just like to call it "experimental" because we think our faves are unique.

they know exactly what the mass in korea is into and they catter to them and their taste and repeat the same formula with most of their acts

also public friendly is not a genre, if one day the majority of the public is into rap then rap is public friendly, if tomorrow the majority of korea is into thrash metal then thrash metal will be public friendly

2NE1 and BIGBANG have been quite experimental over the course of their careers tho...anyway that's beside the point, I was just addressing the Hip Hop/Rap label that people immediately plaster onto YG groups when a lot of them have worked outside of that genre numerous times. And I negged you by accident when trying to quote you, sorry!

Yeah I know that YG works out that label, but they have a lot of history with "HipHop/Rap" and that's not a bad thing at all, because the public like that genre.

Don't worry about the neg
