Don't misunderstand, The 1st one isn't about being a 1 hit wonder. What I mean is like your career peaked so fast and exploded for like a short 5-6years. You came to the scene with a bang & left with a bang, VS the 2nd choice, where you never really had a peak in your career but you slowly got lil more successful year after year for 10+yrs. You were never near the top, you always been at the sideline doing your thang for so many years and gradually getting successful

The pro for the 1st one is people will forever remember you at your peak but the 2nd one, it's more stable(?)..well that might depend because you might have made so much money for the 1st choice that you can afford to chill for the rest of your life. I think this question all preference and it depends what kind of artist I am.

If I was a kpop idol where I have to be young and I don't have much artistic freedom, my company basically tell you what to do then I wouldn't mind the 1st situation.

If I am more serious with my music career, it's something I planned/want to do for the rest of my life & I put a lot of thought and hard work into it then I rather be the 2nd situation.

I'm not sure, tbh. While I'd like option 1, having so much popularity in one short period would mean having to think on your feet & being a literal hit-releasing machine, which could then lead to burnout. With option 2, however, while it may be slow, at least you'd have plenty of time to help mature your personal brand, and release content that is sure to be top-quality. It's a draw for me.

Option 2, feeling like a has been is awful

If you didn't plan or expected to be a has been, yeah it would be awful.

But if you expected or plan it, it's fine lol. You got your money & you experience what's like to be on top.

option 1 will give me so much money that if in 5 years after my career died (if im serious about music) i would just go indie or something. also this:

Option 1 for me
Go big or go home

Idk how to explain well I always want to be the best that I can be or reach as high as I can, I don't mimd the fall it was worth it
