Why don't more companies release highlight medleys?

So I was looking over my list of songs/artists I need to check out after watching the Gayos and one of the songs was Shinee's Dream Girl. It sounded good at the gayos so I decided to look for it on youtube to watch the video. Head to youtube and search for Shinee [i probably should've included Dream Girl in the title but fuck logic] and i found this vid:

Clearly not Dream Girl but that's ok since whatever this is awesome and I like it. Which brings me to the topic at hand: Is SME the only company that do these vids and if so why? I think it would make things so much easier for fans/non-fans to be interested in albums/minis of the company's artists if companies release vids like these.

9 times out of 10 if im not a fan of a certain artist, at most ill only check out the title track and we know some companies suck ass at picking title tracks so when i was looking for one thing but found this instead i feel like i found a nice little gem to add to my collection

I probably sound like im rambling but, Why don't more companies release highlight medleys?

i like track 3,4, and 6 from the first vid and the first 2 from the second one

thanks Tee  :ahmagah:  :ahmagah:

SM just started doing this in 2012 I think. But yeah, it's pretty nice. Gives people a sense of what to expect.

ah~, I figure it was a recent thing since i stop actively following kpop in 2010~2011 so things like this makes it easier to find new music

I agree with your argument. Trailers are nice to give us a taste of the album and make us anticipate it more or maybe even sell more copies.

But I think companies usually don't make them because kpop is a fan-based business and they don't need to. Kpop groups also release a lot of albums annually so it would just be a hassle.

I think all albums should have something like this... it's a great way to expose the rest of the album (which like someone said, can have better songs than the title track on them) to people who wouldn't listen to the whole thing otherwise...

Also it's great for fans that are freaking out right before a comeback and want to know what to expect XD

In 2011 hey were doing those random ass illuminat highlight medleys for SNSDs Japanese album. Pretty sure hoot had one on the website or something too.

I think I remember the one for their Japanese album. I was more into 2NE1 back then so I didn't pay much attention to SNSD at the time.
