Also, not many big groups/artists from China because they haven't been the leaders in modern cpop. But things have started shifting and will continue going in that direction, so I'm expecting the next generation of big stars to come from China. Lorenza 786 Posted September 11, 2016 Share Posted September 11, 2016 I feel like Cpop/Mandopop/whatever isn't orientated around groups like Kpop. Solo singers seem to be the more prominent acts. It's also a more mature market, I think. Kpop as you think of it is marketed towards kids and teens. There are acts like that in Cpop, but there are also more adult acts. I'll link a few videos I think a Kpop fan could enjoy. They aren't all girl groups, though. And like the girl above me said, Taiwanese acts tend to be bigger/more varied/more accessible than Mainland Chinese acts. Although that does seem to be changing. .
