Hey guys! In light of BTS' recent teasers and all the theories that come with it, Adult Brat's decided to make a sort of master post for that, so we have a place to talk about all the hidden things BigHit put in the short films. 

Feel free to post your take on the teasers and to link me to stuff. I will try to put everything worthwhile in the OP

Jimin involved in Jungkook's death?

 

 



Just wanted to share a popular theory going around k-communities right now! I take no credit for these haha, just gonna summarize the bits and pieces people are theorizing

The basic gist is that Jimin is somehow involved in Jungkook's death. Either a witness or accomplice or something, or maybe a lie he told caused Suga and Jungkook to fight? Or maybe he knows who hit Jungkook but just isnt telling for whatever reason. Anyway, he's hiding a "lie" that has something to do with Jungkook's death.
-Both Jungkook and Suga are represented in Jimin's teaser.
-Suga's burning piano
-and Jungkook's symbol - Jimin is shown Jungkook's symbol on a card, but Jimin pretends(?) not to know anything. And he just seems oddly suspicious in that whole vid. Like he knows something, but just not telling.
-Suga's piano symbol combined with Jimin's apple symbol to reveal skid tracks.
-Through Suga, Jimin's 'lie' is uncovered(?). His lie (apple) turns into a skid track symbol - which is related to Jungkook's death by car.

I just thought it was a fun theory, since it'd almost be like going through a murder mystery if that's the case haha. Regardless, something fishy's going on with Jimin, and he plays some sort of role in Sugakookie's story (judging by how both Suga/Jungkook are represnted in Jimin's short film, and Jimin/Jungkook are represented in Suga's, and maybe Suga/Jimin in Jungkook's too? since there was that underwater sound when the portrait was burning and Jimin's usually the one represented with water). Anyway cant wait for the next ep :smile: lmao really feels like i'm watching some sort of drama mystery now haha

edit: And yayy for rapline vids :D!!! I'm gonna assume either Jin or Rapmon is going to be the last short film since Rapmon is narrating and Jin seems to be a key (and most mysterious) figure in all this. So Jhope next :smile:?

V and RapMon: Rapmon and V grattifi together in RUN MV while V does it alone in his teaser, phone box (Rapmon is sitting in a phone booth in RUN JPN version. Phone booth also makes an appearance in V's teaser + he asks to make a call.

Jungkook's painting has similar colours to rapmon's tattoo

Jungkook shouting Hyung coincides with Rapmon covering his ears

Shipping container features in Reflection has same number as the containers in RUN and INU? 

Shipping container's number is same as Ilsan (postcode?) 

 

Jimin:

I don't have a theory, just observations.

 

The whistling sounds similar to a korean folk song "Blue Bird".

 

Is this not a blue bird on Jungkook's shirt?

But I don't think the lyrics from the folk song have anything to do with BTS's concept... so I'm at a dead end here.

This all Namjoon's fault! :twitch: I think we all will need to catch up with his love for reading and actually read the books to understand everything cuz it seems now that it ain't all about Demian but there's another stories from another books like "Here I Am" from Zach Winters

I'm finding this all fascinating so although I'm not smart enough to contribute any theories of my own I'm definitely gonna be watching from the sidelines haha! 

Also, does anyone have any idea where I can read the theories from MVs like Run and INU and stuff? I never really considered doing so before haha, and now I'm interested to see what people wrote about it and all! (If there were any)

Thank god for this thread. Keeping the MT relatively clean from clutter is a good idea, especially now.

 

I did have a concrete theory but now with this new teaser my thoughts are all jumbled up.

 

I just think that the whistle, which is a trigger, is directly associated with Jungkook. Jungkook himself seems to be a trauma in Yoongi's past (in Demian, the whistle is also a trigger to a traumatic memory aka Kromer).

 

However, I'm not sure if the words "First Love" refer to Jungkook or to Yoongi's love for music like another theory suggested.

It's also possible that "First Love" is an era in Yoongi's life when everything was more idyllic, an era that includes both Jungkook and music (?), which is now lost. The loss of that era probably affected Yoongi's attitude towards music.

 

This is why Yoongi plays the piano in a very disheartened way at the start of the video.

 

I swear this sounded better in my head but, w/e, it's something.

Actually, seems like it's all conected with the book "Demian" by Herman Hesse that Namjoon was reading last year if I'm not mistaken... So, honestly, I would recommend to read the book to understand the story and the concept they used for Run, INU and are using now for Wings

Haha fair enough, thanks. I was just a little curious to see whether there were many similarities, but I will be reading the book this weekend anyway as I'm very intrigued in where the inspiration came from!  :)

What if.....jimin is actually the one who drove the car and killed jungkook. Maybe he's on his way to meet jk-suga because jk got killed near the motel he stayed in with sg. The guiltiness and regret because of this accident is what lead him to commit suicide in the bathup, as we could see before he drown himself, jimin is burning their picture together. He killed his friend and he's tortured by his own lie.

Idk if his suicide attempt succesful or not, but if its fail, his mental condition is already damaged, thats why he enters mental institution where he also learned that j-hope is also already died. And now jimin is unrepairable..

 

When jungkook's drawing is burning, we can clearly hear a water sound. In jimin's teaser, we could also see the burning piano in Jk&Sg teaser. In sg teaser, we see jimin's bathup. Maybe jk somehow also represent the piano, and jimin killed that 'piano' (well burning it but wtv). So sg first love is killed by jimin and jimin is caught in his own lie, thats why their dot is merged together.

 

This sounds nonsense tbh lmao Idk but its obvious these three are connected to each other.

Okay, but I honestly thought a lot of fans are making this more complex than it really is. All the short films are based on Demian, so I think we should be more focused on the references to that book and how it connects to the things they've showed us in the videos. But honestly, to me it feels like most people are more focused on trying to connect this to the HYYH story and universe in general. Almost as if they're only using this whole new concept/universe they're presenting with Demian to try to decipher what happened in HYYH, when this is definitely another new story/plot/trama with other pairings and new references.

 

I personally think BigHit it's using the HYYH universe/symbolism/references to build a new universe/plot/story based or inspired in Demian. To me all this short films and concept is about what happens in the Demian book (using the HYYH elements), not what happened in HYYH.

 

God I feel like I'm not making any sense. Why isn't english my first language smh. 

 

Okay basically what I think the short films are about the characters and the story in the book, not about who died or lived in the HYYH videos. To me WINGS it's about the universe in the book, about Sinclar, Demian and the other characters more than who died or lived in the HYYH series, or who killed who and all that stuff.

 

This is a mess. I suck at this.
