People who are terrible on Korean Variety Shows who constantly appear on Korean Variety Shows ?

Imma go with Jo Jung Chi.

You might know him as the guy with glasses who was on the likes of Star King, Happy Together, Human Condition, Radio Star etc. He never does anything funny or witty. Infact on his whole run on Star King and Human Condition he did nothing at all for months and somehow got a paycheck for it. He went on WGM with his actual girlfriend of ten years and all anyone thought was wtf was she doing with him.

He can play the guitar quite well but when he appears on a variety show all you think is why ? He does nothing at all to warrent the invite. He is not witty, funny, clever, bright, talented, entertaining. Nothing! All he does is sit there for an hour doing and saying nothing.

Wish I had his job.

i really dont like gukjoo or any chubbier gag(wo)men that use their weight to be funny.

like i get that maybe sometimes it'll get a reaction out of people, and its better to be able to laugh at yourself than have others laugh at you but i think theres a line and a lot of heavier gagmen & women cross it

it seems like they keep themselves chubbier just so that they can get a reaction out of people. 

 

same with people that go with a hard, sarcastic image. they think that mean jokes are really funny and so they only stick to ""playfully" insulting people because, again, it gets a reaction.  that's one of the reasons i dont like most of the suju members because theyre always playfully hurting someones image. idk, its just not my style.

 

i prefer people like yoo jaesuk that are able to get reactions and laughs with pure jokes and puns, etc. its better to be known as a kind & funny gagman than one that's known for their hardcore image.

I think the big problem with Korean comedians who make fun of their weight is thats all they do 100% of the time. You have western comics and comedy actors who will make fun of their weight just for a 'bit' or a tv sketch. On the other hand there is Korean gagmen and women who do nothing but. If you don't think "hey everyone look at me I eat alot because I'm fat" is funny it gets old rather quick.

 

Lazy Korean writers and PD's who just pump that shit out don't help. I'm sure alot of the comedians could have far more range if given the chance.

 

I'd throw the also tired "ugly Korean gagman or women" into this shit as well. Where every skit with that person is about how ugly they are.

i know they want to promote but please start from the bottom. it's annoying to see members from a vs forced to talk nice about guest when they dont know anything about her/him.
