episode 6 is the most enjoyable episode imo

nam da reum cameo

It was the first episode I liked, but sadly it had nothing to do with Young Bin (his character isn't very likable, he doesn't strive hard enough to be an actor for me to really like his and his 'personality' isn't really developed that well either. So far we've seen him skip work, try to avoid meetings, and makeout with various ladies.) The male child actor was really good and pulled me in right away with his strong character, all of Eun Gab's scenes are good, and since he was in this episode a lot, it was even better. So Hee for me is like unbuttered toast. All she does is smile a bit, talk in a quiet tone, and talk about how she wants to focus on acting but dates one actor, then makes out with another like scandals won't affect her career. She's so far just a love interest without a well rounded personality playing off another character (young Bin) who also doesn't have a personality a lot of viewers can follow. His assistant seems more dimensional.

Kwang Soo and his rivalry with the child actor actually almost broke my heart  He's so good at coming off as desperate and pathetic while remaining likable and funny.

I just realized that if they didn't want to give Young Bin a drug problem to struggle with, they could've given him alcoholism since it wouldn't shock the public's senses as much. Right now the character really doesn't have any struggles, so I can't really cheer for him for anything. He can seem to get any girl he want, roles just fall into his hands, and he's already rich, or at least lives in a really nice house

:fyeah: Who wants to keep watching a drama with a main character that doesn't seem to have any goals or tension points?

I'm glad none of the actors are getting blamed for how the ratings of this show are turning out (though they're still judging SoHee's acting). I only watched about ten episodes of the American original and stopped because I didn't like the main character, which is why I was hoping with this Korean remake, the writer would've focused more on rounding him out with goals and a struggle since the series is much shorter. I wasn't looking for a copy/paste remake. I wanted to see a different spin on the characters, with a strong influence of the culture and community it's being written for, which is what I was hoping for with this one. I still plan to watch the rest of the episodes, but only for the side characters. Really hoping for Gwang Soo's character to land a new role XD

Episode 7: is indeed pretty good. But I can't imagine most viewers sticking through commercials to watch what happens next. This show doesn't have enough tension and almost doesn't seem to have a plot, you know what I mean? I find myself spacing out during many scenes because there are no stakes. Sure So Hee and Young Bin could get caught, but so what? He's already rich and pretty famous apparently, how bad will it hurt his career? So Hee's reputation might be damaged, but her character's already been in a dating scandal with some other dude and I really care about a penny's worth for her character. She's not someone I'll feel sorry for if she gets hurt at this point, I'm not rooting for the characters to be together, I'm not wishing they would break up either. This show really is good at creating an atmosphere of indifference for these two... (and most of the storyline....)

i got feeling they will breakup up cause of her CEO  :._.:  who knows?

he seems pretty evil..

I don't know if it was his acting or his aura that made me uncomfortable to be honest. And yup they'll probably break up :\ I think they'll be on again off again for the rest of the drama since she's Young Bin's only real female lead, the other girls are like cameo side pieces or something XD At least maybe we'll get some stronger emotions from them if so. Right now I'm not feeling anything when they're on screen together.  :wth: Where is the chemistry?!

Oh wow, poor SoHee  It's not that her acting is really that bad, in my opinion, but about 30% of young female actresses act the same way since a lot of female drama roles are about characters that are just feminine and sweet and smile when they speak, ya know what I mean? Watching a lot of dramas, it's like you can transplant any actress into the role or put that role in about ten out of 25 dramas and you wouldn't even notice the difference.

I also continue watching because of Eun Gab (and even Gwang Soo's character, wondering if he'll succeed at something). His storyline is interesting, even kind of heart wrenching. He was on top in his company, or at least appeared to be, and you can tell he loved his job, now he's been edged out and needs to find a way back in. He thought he had more people on his side than he really did, now he realizes the only actor he had left cares more about himself than his work or Eun Gab's work. When I focus on and pretend Eun Gab's story is the main one, then the drama becomes really good, interesting, and easy to watch.

Agree with you all about eps 8 and you know who make me staying..

And this one below is the scene on the Original version compare with Korean version in episode 8 (just in case if you haven't watch the episode i put in spoiler tags.

Original

This is Ari gold (Kim Eug Gab) & Lloyd (Amber) scene when Ari get fired by Terrence (Ms. Kang)

Kor-Ver

Amber is so cute.. lol she did great

wow, in love with Ari after one minute. I watched 10 eps of the American Entourage a few years ago and absolutely couldn't stand the main character there either. The Korean Eun Gab version seems to be a bit more serious in comparison to that clip, and also a bit sad (but of course we have to get everything done in 16 eps vs 8 seasons, so of course things would be a bit more serious). But I'm kinda wishing the guy who wrote Salary Man would've written tvn's Entourage after seeing that clip.

I love this show so much and it's down to two more episodes. I was apathetic about it around ep 1, hated it around ep 2-3 but started falling for Eun Gab. 4-6 fell for him even harder and began to hate Young Bin even more for being a loser and causing him problems. At this point, I was attached to this drama. Episode 12 and 13 are golden. Young Bin is getting his 'what for' and poor Eun Gab seems to be in a bit of a bind where he is concerned. Looking forward to ep 15 and 16 : )

I ended up loving this drama. It just got better and better. Eun Gab's journey was the golden savior of this show and made it rather heart wrenching and intense. The moment my attention locked onto his character, all I cared was that the revolving characters didn't jack up his life with their actions, which is why I hated Young Bin on top of a few other reasons. And whoever that guy was who played Young Bin's manager (still can't remember him or his character's name for the life of me) was a good actor and his story and growing frustration with whiny little shi*t Young Bin was awesome to see. Never really care for Gwang Soo's acting and Turtle and all of his scenes can go die in a fire.

But yeah, this drama had the reverse affect of most dramas. I needed to see how it ended and what happened to the characters. Very few dramas do that for me. God's Gift and Salary Man were others. Other dramas are so predictable and the characters are so flat that I get tired of watching them about 5-10 episodes in. Entourage was the first drama I watched all the way to the last episode in the past 3 years.
