'A song for xx' is the opening track of Ayu's debut album released in 1999, even though this song was never released as a single, she has performed it several times along her career. This song shows Ayu's true self, she talks about her concerns, her experiences and her childhood. For me this song has always been so painful and emotional. It always gives me goosebumps every time I hear the last part of the song, this fragment specifically: I was born alone. I'll go on living alone. I thought that surely that kind of life is appropriate.
