The Korean "Tinder" Only Attractive People Are Allowed To Use

There are many dating apps in Korea like any other country but only one app has caught my attention:

아.만.다 (A.MAN.DA)

Meaning 아무나 만나지 않ëŠë‹¤ (I Don't Meet Up With Just Anyone), this dating app has a preliminary test to see if you are attractive enough to join.

You submit your best photos/selfies and the people already with A.MAN.DA memberships will vote on them. If you are attractive to them, you will receive 5 stars. If not at all to them, 1 star.

It's a real time voting system so you will be able to see how many people give you what score. If your average vote is above 3 stars, you are allowed to become a member and allowed to use the app to meet up with other attractive singles. If not, then you are not able to continue using the app.

Some people use the app in its intended purposes to meet up and date while others. In other cases, friends just use the app as a dare to see who will pass and who will not for shits and giggles.

(It's not the biggest dating app in Korea though and there are people who criticize the app for its focus on superficiality so don't think all Koreans use this app. In fact, most don't use it at all.)

Here is a video of the staff at Pikicast (Korean Buzzfeed-type site) trying out the app.

Go to 3:10 to see how the voting system works.

One of the staff who tried it criticize for its focus on looks and how finding love shouldn't be focused on just how good looking someone is.
