The game starts Saturday, September 10th at 5PM EST The Resistance is a game in which a group of resistance fighters are trying to overthrow an evil and corrupt government. They try to do so by going on secret missions, however their group is infiltrated by government spies. The resistance fighters will try to make their missions succeed, the spies will try to sabotage them. Three successful missions and the resistance wins, three failed ones, spies win. Gameplay Before the game starts you will be assigned to one of the two groups, resistance or spy. They spies will know who the other spies are, but they are not allowed to communicate outside the gameplay thread. There will be 4 spies and 6 resistance fighters. There are up to 5 rounds in this game. Each round will last about 15 minutes. At the beginning of the first round a team leader will be chosen at random. The leader will then be passed to the next player in numerical order for the rest of the game. Before each mission the current leader creates a team consisting of 3-5 members. The leader may include themselves Mission 1 - 3 team members Mission 2 - 4 team members Mission 3 - 4 team members Mission 4 - 5 team members* Mission 5 - 5 team members After the leader has chosen a team the rest of the players will take part in a public vote to reject or approve of the selected team members. Since everyone should vote simultaneously, you should send in your vote to one of the hosts by pm and we will reveal all the votes in the gameplay thread. If the majority of the players rejects the team or if it is a tie, the leadership passes on to the next player and the team choosing process starts over again. If a team is rejected five times in a row, the spies automatically win!! Once everyone agrees on a selected team, the team members will "go on a mission". The members on the mission will be given two mission cards, one indicating a successful mission, the other indicating a failed one. The team members will be sending in their actions by pm. The resistance MUST choose the mission card that indicates success, the spies might choose which card they want to use. If all members on the team chooses the success card, the mission is a success. If there is only one fail card, the mission is sabotaged. Note: the fourth mission is a little special. In this mission two fail cards are needed for the mission to fail. Resistance fighters win after three successful mission, spies win after three failed missions. The point of the game is for the resistance to try and logically figure out who the spies are to avoid sending them on missions. The spies must try their best not to get caught. And the good thing is, no one in this game will ever die! So everyone gets to participate in the whole thing! Rules Do not cheat please Do not communicate with players outside the gamplay thread Play for your affiliation Do not reveal your role I think that was it for the rules. If I forgot something I'll add it later We will be playing two rounds of the game. Whoever has the most points after round two will get some won. We'll figure out how much later. Players: 1.
